What diners say — our read

The recurring subject in this corpus is front-of-house, not the food in general. Reviews mentioning the staff average 3.6 stars, so it divides opinion rather than settling it. After that, plate size appears most often — 29% of the corpus, averaging 3.3.

15 of 28 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 7 are two or lower. Behind those, pacing is raised in 21% of reviews (2.3 average). More reviewers landed on 5 stars than any other score — 13 of 28.

Against that, the kitchen inspects well — an A (92/100), 2 intermediate and 2 basic violations at the most recent DBPR visit. That result dates from April 3, 2026. Across its inspection history the kitchen is declining, which argues for reading the older reviews with caution. That puts it ahead of 49% of graded kitchens in Orange County. What the inspector actually wrote up: handwash sinks accessible and floors, walls, ceilings clean & maintained.

This is a listing where the two measures each tell half the story. The reviews themselves follow, unedited and newest first.

To start off, the table side guac was extravagant. All the plates came out very hot and all the food was cooked to perfection. Although my daughter’s steak was a bit too charred, other than that no complaints. The baby’s are funny. Very nice place to go if you want some mexican vibes and culture!

Yesterday we went to Antojitos with my wife and our 10month old son, and we decided to try the tableside guacamole experience. It was actually our baby’s first time ever trying guacamole, and Aaron made the whole moment really special for us. Before preparing ours, Aaron kindly made a small portion without too much seasoning or spice so our son could safely try it for the first time. He absolutely loved it, and seeing his reaction made the experience unforgettable for us as parents. After that, Aaron prepared the rest of the guacamole exactly how we like it, with the perfect amount of spice and flavor. Everything tasted fresh and delicious, and we really appreciated how patient and thoughtful he was with our family throughout the whole experience. It honestly felt more than just going out to eat. It became a really nice memory for our family. We’ll definitely be recommending this place to our friends and family. Thank you for such amazing service.

I will preface by saying that the service and atmosphere of this restaurant was amazing! Once you walk in, everything was so modern and kept up with. Lots of bright colored signs and murals on the walls. Atmosphere was great, at one point someone came out on stage and played the guitar. We were not expecting live music, but this was a nice touch to the experience. Lets talk about the food...As someone with Mexican roots, this food was far from being authentic. I think this was a great American take on Mexican food. Between my partner and I we ordered the cheese dip, enchiladas verdes, and birria tacos. The dip- Chips were over-salted. At one point we were scrapping all the salt of the chips, because it was SO overpowering. The cheese dip itself didn't taste like anything. Every time we took a bite, we didn't taste anything. Not sure if that was from how much salt was on the chips. My partner's birria tacos were the same. Lacked flavor, the consome (dip for birria tacos) was thick, almost like a salsa, which is not what consome is supposed to be like. The beans came in a small cup that again, had zero flavor. The rice actually wasn't bad! That was probably the only good thing about the dish. For me, I ordered the enchiladas verdes. I should have read another review below, because someone else mentions how their presentation was a bit weird. The enchiladas come in a bowl, almost like a soup? The chicken inside the enchiladas was tinga, which isn't normally what's inside…

Pretty Solid. My family enjoyed the atmosphere and food was not bad. Food was a little slow coming out, but we were not in a rush. Every 30 minutes there was a dance show and people working the crowd. Party of 6 got seated immediately. They do auto gratuity so make sure you pay attention to your check. I

Great servers, great food, and great gluten free options! Amazing performance also!!

  • June 26, 2026

We had a rough start here. The host staff seemed disengaged, and after being seated at a couple of less-than-ideal tables, we decided to return our menus and try the bar instead. We’re so glad we did. Chowda completely turned our experience around. She was an absolute rockstar!! Super friendly, attentive, personable, and genuinely made us feel welcome. Her service was outstanding, and her positive attitude completely changed the tone of our evening. Want to give a shoutout to Tiny as well who also provided great bar service. What could have been a disappointing meal ended up being a great experience because of them. I know front of house service is a tough job - I hope management recognizes what an incredible job Chowda does!

Great food. Great service. A bit loud but thats to be expected. Loved that they come to your table and make the guacamole in front of you!

The Staff and Entertainment is Top Tier

  • June 17, 2026

Love the table side guac service and the salsa is excellent. The chips are too dense ... sounds strange, not sure how long else to describe it

  • June 15, 2026

I ordered tacos, the pastor meat flavor was good, but the corn tortillas broke.

  • June 14, 2026

They dont bring chips and salsa until you order food for some people others get chips and salsa soon as you sit down. Red flags

  • June 14, 2026

This is *not* "authentic" Mexican. It's TexMex at best. We enjoyed the queso, and the kids liked their beef birria tacos (simplemente tacos dorados). The drinks were good, decent sangria. Our server was good. Even though he was tired and ready to leave as it was the end of his shift, he stayed pleasant, alert, and helpful. The salsa was bland. The burrito was all rice with a few bits of beans and beef. The chicken on the "Mexican Cob" was flavorless. Very reminecent of Taco Bell. Very overpriced for the quality and amount of food.

This is a great spot to eat while at Citywalk at Universal. Authentic Mexican cuisine & everything we’ve had is excellent! Love the table side guacamole!

We traveled from Venezuela last week to celebrate our son’s birthday in Orlando, and one of the places we visited during the trip was Antojitos. The evening turned out to be much better than we expected. Our son was fascinated watching Aaron prepare the guacamole right at the table. He stood there the entire time paying attention to every ingredient and asking questions. Aaron was incredibly patient with him and even joked around a little, which made our son feel included in the experience. The food was excellent, but as parents, what we appreciated most was seeing our child having such a great time. Days later, he’s still talking about “the guacamole guy” from our birthday trip. Thank you, Aaron, for helping create such a special memory for our family.

Recipientes sucios, algunas comida con y sin sabor, ojo antes de pedir! Mi michelada era una sopa

  • June 7, 2026

The service is terrible; they treat you as if your money means nothing and seat you wherever they feel like. We asked to change tables and it turned out to be incredibly difficult—even though the restaurant was empty! Absurd, right? They handed us the menu and, less than a minute later, were already asking what we wanted to order. We said we’d like a bit more time to look it over, and when we were ready, they snapped at us: "Now you'll have to wait." In the end, we left; we had gone there to eat, not to be treated poorly. They have plenty of staff, but they don't know how to treat customers.

Food and service was amazing definitely worth checking out. Unfortunately they need to spend a little bit more money on repairs roof was dripping on us as we were eating looks like they tried patching it before but obviously didn’t fix the issue so makes me wonder if waters collected up there is could have black mold definitely hope they fix this this future. Other than that place was perfect.

The food was so so. Staff very friendly and attentive.

The restaurant is located inside of Universal Studio's City Walk. Parking is free after 6 p.m. daily, and there is a bit of walking from the parking lot to the restaurant. A few steps can be saved if valet is used. Valet is NEVER free. Antojito is a beautiful establishment in one of Orlando's tourists locations. The outside gave me a feeling of entering an Mexican building from the western tv shows I watched growing up. There was a bit of a nostalgic feeling. We had a reservation because we had a large party of 20. Like most restaurants, they wouldn't seat us until the whole party was there, despite the fact that more than half of the party was present. Even though we had to wait, once seated our party was slip: some at regular tables and others at high tops in an area where staff was constantly going back and forth with guacamole carts, which diminished the ability of the group to get up and socialize. Each table had a different server. The server at the low table was not very attentive. Water was not topped unless requested. She was slow taking and returning with food and drink orders. The food had great presentation, but lacked seasonings, starting with the guacamole made fresh at the table. Which is odd for a Mexican restaurant. I requested a side of lime for my guacamole, and received a mortar of lime juice. Eventually, I received half of a lime, which did not help enhance the bland flavor. For my entree, I ordered birria tacos, which were served with refried beans and…

This place has changed a lot in the past 5 years since we last visited. The menu and food has drastically changed, the chips and salsa were so bland. This should have been the first red flag, our server was slow and would disappear multiple times. The menu option were limited and all of our dishes had no flavor to them. We order carne asada burritos, which was ground meat not steak. Chicken tacos that had no flavor whatsoever even the “cilantro creama” was bland! The only thing that was enjoyable was our drinks. When it was time to pay we sat and waited for our server who again had disappeared in the back that we stood up and waited for at least 10 Mins. No other staff stop to offer assistance either. Would not recommend.

My wife and I came from Indianapolis for our first trip to Orlando, and we absolutely loved everything about Antojitos. The service was top tier, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was amazing, but the most impressive part of the night was definitely the tableside guacamole experience with Aaron. We ordered the guacamole and mentioned that I love spicy food, but my wife doesn’t eat spicy at all. Aaron immediately gave us options either he could serve the jalapeños on the side or he could split the guacamole into two separate portions, one mild and one spicy. We chose the second option, and he prepared two mini guacamoles right in front of us. It was such a thoughtful detail and honestly made the whole experience feel personalized and special. Both versions tasted incredible and you could really tell he put care into every step. This ended up being one of our favorite dining experiences during our visit to Orlando. Also, we loved the guy playing the guitar, he brought such a fun and authentic vibe to the restaurant and made the whole night even better!

We knew we wanted to go to Universal City Walk after 6 for some shopping and my sister thought let’s go for Mexican while we are there, and in the end I was disappointed. We made a reservation online and were seated within 5 min once we arrived on time. Our server was less than attentive and he rarely checked on us. Our jalapeño spicy margaritas with a pineapple pop were the best part of our meal. The nachos were salty and the salsa was mild and you ate more as you sat to wait for your food. The burrito was dry and I had to use salsa yo help. The steak was sliced so small it was almost non existent. My sister did say her vegetarian meat tacos were good, she was surprised. I said well it’s in an amusement park why did I think it would be better than it was, but my nephew disagrees with me and believes it should be good considering the location. During our meal, just as the check was taken by the server who suddenly was friendly they evacuated the restaurant. While we were eating the air seemed to turn off, then the power went out then there was an odd smell and they evacuated the restaurant. The server still had my debit card while other diners were leaving without paying. I had to ask a security guard to find my server and they told me I had to evacuate, I was more valuable. Yeah, but I need my debit card. The server did show up and then I had to sign and give a tip as the place is evacuating! The server stood by me as I signed my slip. From what we heard no one was hurt and…

Other reviews aren’t very good but after long days at the parks we wanted a place to listen to live music with drinks and food. The Birria Tacos were so good that we came back a second night for more. We noticed in the upstairs dining room that a kitchen manager was inspecting all orders before approving them to be delivered to the tables. We even observed him sending some orders back. This was a great touch and the the food really showed that extra care. The drinks weren’t the best but not terrible. Definitely try the Birria tacos. Our first night they had dancers and our second a guitarist.

If you are trying to decide where to eat at Universal CityWalk, do yourself a favor and book a table at Antojitos Authentic Mexican Food. The atmosphere is vibrant and energetic, but the food is the real star of the show. You cannot leave this place without ordering the Tableside Guacamole. Watching them make it fresh right in front of you is a great experience, and it tastes absolutely incredible—a total must-have every single time you visit. For my main course, I had the Chimichanga, and it did not disappoint. It was perfectly cooked, tasted amazingly fresh, and the portion size was incredibly generous. I left completely full and satisfied. Great service, lively vibes, and phenomenal food. I will definitely be back!
