One subject runs through these 18 reviews more than any other: the staff. Front-of-house cuts both ways here, averaging 3.6 among the reviews that raise it. Cleanliness follows at 33% of reviews, where ratings average 4.8.
The single most common rating left here is 5 stars (10 of 18). 12 of 18 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 4 are two or lower. Behind those, speed of service is raised in 28% of reviews (3.0 average).
The kitchen graded a B (87/100) on 4 intermediate and 1 basic violations at its last inspection, which is roughly where the reviews sit too. The visit behind that grade was May 15, 2026. Ranked against Orange County, it is safer than 34% of the restaurants we score. For specifics, the last inspection cited in-use food dispensing utensils properly stored and food-contact surfaces clean and sanitized.
Neither signal is decisive on its own here, which is why both are shown. The underlying reviews are reproduced in full underneath.

We loved that restaurants that were in the hotel. This made it very convenient after a long day at the park. Bar 17 was absolutely phenomenal (service, food and view). The staff there remembered us every time we went. The location of the hotel was very prime as well. 15 to 20 minute walk to the parks and Volcano Bay was right next door.

Star Review I had an extremely disappointing and upsetting experience during my stay at Universal’s Aventura Hotel. We were there to celebrate a birthday, but the night was ruined by poor customer service, unprofessional behavior, and a complete lack of proper follow-up from management. From the beginning, the check-in process was unpleasant. The receptionist was rude, impatient, and dismissive when we asked basic questions about charges and fees. Shortly after arriving to our room, a staff member came regarding a noise complaint. I immediately complied and turned the TV off. About 15 minutes later, a manager came to our room with security and immediately began accusing me of making offensive comments about the previous employee. The manager never clearly explained what was allegedly said and repeatedly told us that “actions have consequences.” The situation felt aggressive, accusatory, and unnecessary. We were not given a fair opportunity to explain ourselves, and we felt singled out, uncomfortable, and unsafe in our own hotel room. What made this even more concerning is that the accusation appeared to be based on something allegedly overheard after our room door was closed while we were speaking privately in Spanish. That raised serious privacy concerns for us as guests. Because of how long and stressful the situation became, we missed a birthday dinner reservation and were charged a $100 fee. I contacted the hotel multiple times afterward asking for the matter to be…

3 adults staying. 1 was my daughter 18 and autistic. We chose this hotel as we wanted to be close to universal within walking distance. On arrival it's a lovely bright clean friendly hotel. Staff checking in were lovely. However the lady doing the park tickets not so great. We asked for a paper copy ticket for our landyards. She huffed and puffed. We did check and yes can do it. Eventually we got them. The room were perfect very spacious and very clean. Lovely views actually it's a wow view. The robot was a great addition. My daughter instantly relaxed it's a nice quite hotel with space. I'm sure whoever designed it had neaurogent people in mind too. The pool was perfect especially after a day at the parks. Daughter not a fan getting in, so safe for her to sit on the side and enjoy what she wanted to do on her phone/computer. WiFi great. Food court yard. We tried most stations and all the food was lovely and fresh. Lovely walk to universal parks and being able to nip next door to get the bus / water taxi perfect. Volcano bay Just being a hop skip and jump from the hotel brilliant. Just one thing and it's not the hotels fault. We thought it would be easy to walk to international drive. We ended up getting Ubers every time not expensive at all though as couldn't work how to get there on foot safely. Overall brilliant sad TUI not having this hotel on there books is very sad. ( We are from UK) I personally would recommend this hotel to anyone. Also getting to Disney if you doing…

Loved this vacation. This hotel, the service, the staff, and housekeeping/maintenance people were all so very nice, talkative, and made us feel like family. We will come back.

This hotel was perfect for our requirements, it was just 2 adults on this occasion but I wish I’d stayed here with the family when we came on 2 previous occasions, the hotel had everything we needed, it was clean, very close to all the universal parks (volcano bay is just a short walk out of the rear gates at the pool area), modern, the restaurants on site were ideal, and offered plenty of good food choices, we didn’t manage to visit the roof top bar/restaurant which I'm sad about, but would definitely make the effort when we return, which I’m sure we will. The only negatives were that there was a “clunking” noise in the room which I can only put down to the lifts constantly on the go, so not much that can be done about that. I also feel that I need to mention that the pool has lifeguards which is great but they spend their whole shift pacing back and forth in the same small area which is a little unnerving and makes trying to relax around the pool a little off putting and uncomfortable. Small crosses to bear and certainly wouldn’t stop us staying here again! I would highly recommend.

very unprofessional super visor, held items at the desk which were for delivery to rooms. construction that was unannounced occurred, causing loud noise and issues with sleep. refused to give florida resident discount. doubtful i’ll be staying here again, will be reaching out to higher positioned staff

Let me start by saying that I will definitely stay at the Adventura again. First impression: The front desk was great, very informative and straightforward. I wish Loews had a mobile key/check in but even so I had a great interaction when checking in. Parking: It was easy and seamless with a large parking garage that has its own elevator to the lobby. Room: It was super clean and on the 8th floor we had awesome views of Islands of Adventure. The use of technology was different (use a tablet to control the lights/tv) but something that my kids liked and I could get used to. Distance: I enjoy walking and getting the extra steps in. It's about a 20min walk to CityWalk so be prepared. You're able to walk over to the Sapphire Falls Resort and use the boat which we did occasionally so that was nice. You may not save any time doing this depending on when the boat is there because we tested it and me and my son actually beat my wife and daughter back by 5 minutes. Amenities: The pool was pretty basic. But honestly it was way more enjoyable than the Cabana Bay. Less people and just overall way more clean. I personally preferred it but you're also allowed to swim at Cabana Bay or Sapphire Falls if you'd rather something more lively, with a lot more people. Food/Beverage: Starbucks is super convenient and we went to Bar 17 for drinks/appetizers. Okay so Bar 17 was super cool... BUT... I don't know about this Korean infused menu. The drinks were not good. After trying 4-5 different…

Awesome place clean great views and super close to universal

Half the elevators are always down causing constant extremely long lines/waits. Staff are very friendly but the robot that is supposed to bring items to your room never does. Location is great but the elevators issues are enough to look elsewhere.
-
The rooms are fine considering you're at the parks most of the time. There are not enough buses to this particular hotel and there always seems to be a line for this hotel while all the other hotels have no line. Also if you do room service add an hour plus to their delivery time, it's painfully slow, you're better off going yourself to pick it up if you can.

This has been the worst trip ever; we stay here often. Let’s start with the damn elevators being out. Waiting about 15 minutes to get to our rooms it’s nuts. The internet was down so we couldn’t watch tv for a while, and now it takes 20+ minutes to get a ride to universal.. not sure what is happening here. This hotel WAS great and is why we always chose this location. I would search else where in the future if you want to go to universal..

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were pleasant, friendly, and always available whenever I needed assistance. Their professionalism and willingness to help made me feel welcome throughout my visit. The hotel itself was exceptionally clean and very well maintained. Both the guest rooms and common areas were spotless and showed great attention to detail. It was clear that the staff takes pride in providing a comfortable and enjoyable experience for their guests. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for excellent service, cleanliness, and a relaxing stay.

Hidden gem that no one is talking about. The hotel staff is great. The rooms have great views on the higher floors. The views from the rooftop and atmosphere are very impressive. The short walk to volcano bay is incredible. The quick service food is affordable and taste is appropriate for the cost. Parking is easy and not outrageously priced.

It was overall mediocre. Stayed in universal resort hotels before but this was recommended so we tried it. Rooms are not cleaned every day which given the premium price was surprising and not clear when we booked. Worse we had to chase up cleaning when our room was missed on day three. Ruth on the preferred desk was not apologetic and would not check the other room on our booking had been cleaned but deigned to pass a message to housekeeping. Would she call us back to confirm? No. Generally it was new but felt cheap. Minor niggles such as a sink which did not drain. iPad control was pointless. Aircon noisy. Free transport never seemed to be as regular as stated and buses were misnamed. Pretty disappointing overall so I would avoid.

Jey at Aventura hotel displayed exceptional professionalism during the check-in process. He was courteous, communicated effectively, was well-informed about the property's details, and was very welcoming.
-
So conveniently located to water taxi at the hotel next to us, which guest can use, and a seamless aprox, 5 mins through the pool area to volcano bay. There is no microwave in the room, but there is at the urban pantry downstairs. Staff were great, rooftop restaurant was good, but there were other places that were better. We decided if we went back, we would HIGHLY consider Aventura again unless we could afford one if the Signature Hotel.
-
Great place. Great view on Universal park. Clean and modern design room.
