Community Rating
Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
Both measures on this page are strong, which is less common than it sounds. Reviewers who mention service rate this place 5.0 on average — it is working in the restaurant’s favour.
The split is 15 positive to 0 negative across 15 rated reviews. One subject never comes up here: how long an order takes.
The health record runs ahead of the reviews. The last DBPR inspection returned an A (90/100) with 1 intermediate and 7 basic violations. DBPR last walked in on June 25, 2026. The trend across inspections is decline. That puts it ahead of 42% of graded kitchens in Orange County. The citations behind that grade include dishwashing facilities and food-contact surfaces clean and sanitized.
Both measures agree, which is the least complicated version of this page. Everything above is computed from the 15 reviews reproduced below.

Great tacos and sauces, but… THE BEST CHURROS I’ve ever had. Comes with vanilla and chocolate dipping sauce, separate of course. It all tastes handcrafted.

I stopped into Bar Taco planning to just grab a couple of street tacos and a margarita, but it ended up being so good that I stayed for another taco and finished with churros. I started with the Mezcal margarita, and it was excellent. It had the smoky mezcal flavor I was looking for without overpowering the drink, and the fresh lime gave it a great balance of tartness. For tacos, I tried the pork belly, shrimp, and ribeye. The pork belly completely stole the show. It had the perfect crisp on the outside, was packed with flavor, and was so good that I ended up ordering another one before I left. I’ll definitely be back for those. The shrimp taco was another standout. It had a great mix of flavors, a nice crispy texture, and was just as enjoyable as the pork belly. The ribeye was probably my least favorite, but only because the other two were so exceptional. It was still a good taco—it just had some really stiff competition. I finished with the churros, which were fantastic. They had an amazing crunch and were generously coated in cinnamon sugar. The chocolate dipping sauce was a little overpowering for my taste (and that’s coming from a chocoholic), but the churros themselves were excellent. One thing that really stood out was the atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly, and you could tell they were having a good time too—singing along to everything from old disco classics to 2000s hits. It made the whole place feel fun and welcoming without being over the top. I came…

First visit to any Bartaco. Instead of trying to figure out the process of how to order, I asked my server. If I didn't understand exactly, I just asked her if I was understanding correctly. I didn't catch her name, but she was nice and very helpful. - I'm not a big fan of taco restaurants (like Torchies), but was pleasantly surprised with the restaurant and flavor. They even offered Celiac options for their chips and shells. AWESOME!🙌🏼 - Ordered a desert, but ate it quicker than I remembered to take a picture. Tres Leches and a vanilla gelato. The cake was a little pricey for its size, but the flavor was delicious as well. Not disappointed at all and will visit again. 👍🏼
