Community Rating
Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
The trajectory matters more than the average on this listing. Where serving size comes up, the rating that follows averages 4.0, so it reads as a strength. Service follows at 28% of reviews, where ratings average 5.0.
The split is 22 positive to 3 negative across 25 rated reviews. The single most common rating left here is 5 stars (21 of 25). Behind those, speed of service is raised in 24% of reviews (4.3 average).
Against that, the kitchen inspects well — an A (95/100), 1 intermediate and 2 basic violations at the most recent DBPR visit. The visit behind that grade was April 3, 2026. That puts it ahead of 61% of graded kitchens in Orange County. For specifics, the last inspection cited handwash sinks accessible and floors, walls, ceilings clean & maintained.
With both signals pointing the same way, there is little to argue about on this listing. The underlying reviews are reproduced in full underneath.

Love tasty food with a heavy nostalgic feel.

The decor has likely not changed since the 80's and I like it that way. Went for our first time today and this is our new cheap eats place in Orlando. The sandwich orders are spoken quietly to their resident sandwich wizard and you can see him crafting the perfect roast beef sandwich just for you. The spuds were perfectly fried. I am sorry to say that I wasted an ounce of horseradish and ketchup because I ended up using that jack sauce on my sandwich and the spuds.

Great sandwiches! We ordered a Reuben and a roast beef sandwich that were so tasty. It's a small old fashion restaurant that has all the nostalgia of days gone by.

Love this place. Beef sandwich and tater tots. Yum.

I love Beefy King. The people are awesome, and the atmosphere is perfect. God willing, I will be going to Beefy King for many years to come.

I go to this place as often as I can, it's amazing!

This place was very good. The food was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Absolutely THE BEST roast beef that'll ever pass your teeth! The sandwich comes on a soft kaiser roll and the Super flavorful roast beef will melt in your mouth! Their slaw is perfect. It's sweet but not too sweet and has plenty of crunch. The onion rings are the tops. Flavorful and fried crispy. It's all definitely, definitely worth the trip. They've been in business since 1968 and it's easy to see why....Beefy King IS the 'king'!! Every single one of their staff is pleasant, friendly, and sociable. They're "old school" and make you feel at home. Parking is a little snug, but they do have a drive thru. The platter that I got was $12, so they're not expensive and it's very filling. So if you've got a hankering for some awesome food, slide on by and give 'em a try. Once you've had the best, you'll never want to go anywhere else.. and they're the king!

Was excited to try this long time Orlando cult favorite...and... it was good! Beef sandwich had quality meat, old school onion rings were nostalgically delicious, solid tots.

I tried this place because Braun Strowman said it was good … i see what he means now !

Holy heck this place is the real deal. Small menu, few options, all done well. The counter service is a little chaotic, but the food is iconic.

Had the BBQ Roast Beef and a large Plain Roast Beef... Both look and taste right out of the past... Amazingly flavorful and filling, the Tater Tots are perfect, not greasy, the Coke Slaw was amazing, not too tangy but creamy and full of old style flavor... and the Sweet Tea was exactly as true southern style Sweet Tea should be, sweet but not overpowering the taste of the tea.!!! If you're reading this and desiring an old school Roast Beef comfort food style, you need to be here, order everything your taste buds are watering for, get a T-shirt or Hat and truly enjoy every bite and sip !!! "Slainte".!!!

Go for the beef!

Truly good food. Nothing odd, spicy or different to change the great flavor. Simple meal have been having for years. There is always plenty of parking, drive up window is fast, plenty of seating inside, staff knowledgeable, friendly and speedy. Menu is great . Google Beef King for Drive up hours and inside restaurant hours. What ever meat sandwich you order is so fresh and their delicious rolls compliment your choice.

Took my NC sister there! As good as ever!

Some local institutions survive on nostalgia alone — trading on decades of goodwill while quietly coasting on food that peaked sometime during the Ford administration. Beefy King is not that place. Since 1968, they have been doing one thing in Orlando, and they have not stopped doing it well. I joined a line that suggested the locals know exactly what they're about, and stood in it without complaint. The roast beef is sliced to order in front of you, which in an era of mystery meat and heat lamps feels almost radical. It was excellent. The hash browns were the kind that make you briefly reconsider your entire lunch strategy. Everything about it was straightforward, confident, and completely without pretension — a place that has never once needed to reinvent itself because it got it right the first time. Fifty-seven years. Same thing. Still a line out the door. There's a lesson in there for a lot of restaurants.

Beefy King is always amazing. Food is great and service is great. Staple of the community

Soggy rolls, average meat, terrible sauce

“Dining room closed from 3:00-5:00pm “ Very inconvenient for my first time experience. Update: went through the drive through after writing the first portion of the review and ordered 2 meat sandwiches with cheese and a bbq pork sandwich . Only received two sandwiches , some tots and two drinks . Missing a sandwich: Paid $21.94 for two tiny sandwiches and of course can’t go inside to get it sorted out without having to wait in the drive through for another 20 minutes. Happy to say I will not be back here.🙏🏻👍🏻

Yummmmmmmm. My family says they have the best roast beef sandwich around.. my favorite is their ham & cheese sandwich. The onion rings are so good too😋

Best sandwichs in town Always great service
-
Service was very fast and the food was very good. Got a pastrami meal add onions and cheese with a coke and a bag of chips for $12.50. Sandwich 2as delicious!
-
I so want to support small business but honestly do not understand the hype. The meat absolutely melts in the mouth, but is bland. And brioche buns? Skip the sandwich (that will be soggy and a mess) and just get a platter. Very glad to see the community keeping them alive. Serviice was outstanding, establishment clean so zero compaints there. I can now say I have been, but I do not feel the need to return.

This place has been in around forever. I stop here whenever am in this part of Orlando. Great food !!!
