Community Rating
Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
The 3.9-star average is misleading — almost nobody actually rated it that. Opinion on front-of-house is split — those reviews land at 3.0 on average.
Of the 26 rated reviews, 18 sit at four stars or better and 6 at two or below. The single most common rating left here is 5 stars (18 of 26). No one in this corpus comments on how food arrives at all.
Against that, the kitchen inspects well — an A (94/100), 1 intermediate and 3 basic violations at the most recent DBPR visit. The visit behind that grade was March 19, 2026. On health score it sits safer than 56% of the Orange County restaurants we grade. For specifics, the last inspection cited cross-contamination and plumbing installed & maintained.
This is a listing where the two measures each tell half the story. The reviews themselves follow, unedited and newest first.

Chef Jerry was the best and funniest chef I’ve ever had at Benihana! He made the experience so entertaining, and the food was amazing. Definitely one of the most memorable Benihana visits I’ve had.

My first experience at Benihana and it was fabulous. Chef Jerry was on top form and this food was perfect. Highly recommended!

If I could leave a ZERO star I would!! Here for volleyball tournament had a group of 15. 12 of the people were teenage girls. We had one waitress that was super nice and the other was terrible. The girls asked to eat off the kids menu but the manager didn’t allow them to so they decided to split the 1 meal with 2 girls when the bills came out the waitress billed each girl $56 insane. Manager wasn’t nice and not helpful at all! I wouldn’t recommend coming with a group!

My 14 year old daughter asked to order off the kids menu but the cut off was 13 years of age and was told no. Even though it is a little ridiculous, this isn’t the problem. We ended up getting an À La Carte meal but when we received the check, they charged us a 15 dollar service fee for WANTING to order off the kids meal when my friend’s daughter didn’t receive a service charge. After everything went down, they were extremely rude to me and my family. The total cost for ONE kids meal was 86 dollars. Mind you, she ordered chicken tenders. This was a very unfortunate experience for me and my family along with our family friends. Hopefully your experience is better than mine.

Very good experience, the food was great. The waiter and chef was excellent

We had a reservation at 7:45 and we werent sat until an hour later. The food was ok. Not really worth the hype in my opinion.
-
We had a very poor experience from the start. The hostess was incredibly rude, they attempted to sit ten people at a table that was clearly sized for no more than eight, the plates that were set out were filthy, and when asked for clean plates, the server simply wiped down the dirty ones and gave them back to us. We left without having even ordered. If you are going to visit a Benihana in the Orlando area. Do yourself a favor and visit the Lake Buena Vista location. Their service is far superior.

Will was attended to all of our drink needs anything we needed he was on it. I will come back again and again for service food like that. These gentlemen were absolutely amazing. Thank you Will and Lee N!!!!

Will & Lee N, wow. I’ve ate at many of these throughout GA, FL & Alabama. Hands down Lee N & Will. They are the best. I’m certain you’re proud of them being a part of your team

Great experience!

Shocked at how bad this place is. Go somewhere else if you want teppanyaki. We couldn’t get drinks at our table and had to go buy them separately at the bar. The service is abysmal all around. As for the cooking show at our table, there wasn’t one. Our chef strolled out, cooked the food and dropped it on our plates. A manager wandered by while we were eating and had the nerve to shove a vacant chair into my arm while trying to reposition the furniture - looked right at me with no apology.

Our sever Rod was super nice and very attentive to make sure our night was a pleasant one. After the rain messing up our plans and putting us in a bad mood, it was nice to have both a server and a chef that was nice and fun to talk to. I had the steak and chicken 6 course meal and it did not disappoint us at all. Our chef Manny is a true professional who made sure to ask me what I needed and wanted especially with my allergies to shrimp. It was my first time at Benihana and I can’t wait to come back. The food was super delicious. Thank you Rod and Manny so much for meal.
