Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
Little tension on this listing: diners rate it well and the kitchen graded well. Where how guests are treated comes up, the rating that follows averages 5.0, so it reads as a strength.
Conspicuously absent: cleanliness, which no reviewer brings up. The split is 18 positive to 2 negative across 21 rated reviews, with 1 in the middle. 5 stars is the modal score, given by 18 of the 21 reviewers who rated.
The health record runs ahead of the reviews. The last DBPR inspection returned an A (98/100) with 2 basic violations. That inspection was on April 13, 2026. Ranked against Orange County, it is safer than 80% of the restaurants we score. Among the items recorded were floors, walls, ceilings clean & maintained.
Both measures agree, which is the least complicated version of this page. Read the originals below and judge the pattern yourself.

The food was authentic, fresh, and full of flavor. The verde enchiladas were delicious, and tacos were excellent too! We could tell they take pride in what they make. It had that true local, homemade feel! Definitely worth a visit!

All I have to say this was my first time eating at this restaurant and the food was delicious hot and fresh.

I used to love coming to this place. I've been getting food here since 2023, but I've got to be honest, lately every time I stop by to get something to go, it's a disappointment. Last time I was there a few days ago, I got home and felt like I had onion and cilantro tacos instead of meat tacos with onion and cilantro. The same goes for the flautas; they're definitely skimping on the meat. Prices have gone up, and the flavor just isn't "oh my God" anymore. So if anyone knows any other good place I can go to in that area, please let me know.

I absolutely love Border Grill Fresh-Mex! It’s currently 3:44 AM and I’m lying awake thinking about my next meal there. The food is that good. Everything is always fresh, flavorful, and made perfectly. The portions are great, the staff is friendly, and every visit leaves me wanting more. If a restaurant can keep me awake in the middle of the night craving their food, they’re doing something right. Highly recommend to anyone looking for amazing Fresh-Mex! #BorderGrillAddict 🌮🔥😄

Awesome ma and pop restaurant. One of the few I’ve found that actually serves authentic Mexican. My favorite is the burrito with fries and steak
