What diners say — our read

Diners are harder on this place than the health inspector was. How food arrives is the sore point: those reviews average 2.0. What it costs follows at 31% of reviews, where ratings average 2.8.

9 of 26 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 14 are two or lower. The corpus runs from Oct 2025 through Jun 2026 — not a single moment in time. Pacing shows up in 31% of reviews as well, averaging 3.1. More reviewers landed on 1 star than any other score — 10 of 26.

The health record runs ahead of the reviews. The last DBPR inspection returned an A (93/100) with 2 intermediate and 1 basic violations. That result dates from May 8, 2026. Across its inspection history the kitchen is declining, which argues for reading the older reviews with caution. That puts it ahead of 53% of graded kitchens in Orange County. What the inspector actually wrote up: handwashing and food-contact surfaces clean and sanitized.

The weak part of this listing is the experience, not the sanitation — those are different failures. The underlying reviews are reproduced in full underneath.

Food tastes fake and costs 20 dollars a meal. Ridiculous and bad. Also water was dripping on our table.

Experience was definitely underwhelming and completely falls into the trap of basic, mass-produced theme park food. Item: Bacon Cheeseburger Combo Plate Rank: 2.00 out of 5 The Verdict: Taste was a 2 out of 5, Value was a 2 out of 5, and Gram-ability was a 2 out of 5. The value proposition for a $21+ quick-service combo just isn't here. The patty was dry and severely lacked seasoning. Item: Ticos Loaded Beef Burger Combo Plate Rank: 2.75 out of 5 The Verdict: Taste was a 3 out of 5, Value was a 2 out of 5, and Gram-ability was a 3 out of 5. A slight step up execution-wise due to the ropa vieja and pepper jack toppings adding needed flavor depth, but it still suffers from a dry, standard quick-service base. Ranking both of these for the Theme Park Plate June guide for Islands of Adventure. If you are trying to maximize your park meals, look elsewhere in Jurassic Park. Have any of you tested these against the community ranks on the site?

If you value your money, your time, and your appetite, avoid this place. The chicken burger was, without exaggeration, the driest burger I have ever had in my life. It was so overcooked that it was difficult to finish. The only reason people seem to eat here is because they're already inside the park and don't have many other options. Unfortunately, the food quality does not justify the price. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was genuinely one of the most disappointing meals I've had at a theme park.

We met Bob at Burger Digs today and he was awesome. We were a group of 6 with kids, and he made the whole experience fun. He was joking around with us, had a great attitude, and you could tell he genuinely enjoys his job. Bob gave us some great recommendations and checked on us often. Our kids loved him and were laughing the whole time at his jokes. We also found out he’s a veteran, which made us appreciate him even more. Great service, great personality, and one of the main reasons we’ll be back. If you get the chance, ask for Bob & say hi! Hard to find people who actually enjoy being at work these days & he absolutely loves his job.

Elvia and Christian M at the cash register were awesome. Theu made sure we were taken care of.

  • May 5, 2026

A solid place for theme park food. I got the chimichanga, and it was better than I expected. The corn was fresh and chorizo was also good. A little hectic inside, but I would come back again

  • April 30, 2026

My wife gave the burger a 3, I'd give it a 4 considering it's theme park food. It's not bad. Kind of expensive, but that comes par for the course.

service is TERRIBLE. food is TERRIBLE. the burger buns are so buns, theyre really chewy and stale. but omg. ive never seen such bad service 💀 the lady who was taking our order, (i think her name is derika, i forgot) shes rlly rude. Awesome theming, great quick service even on a crowded day.

  • April 18, 2026

Honestly, this was the worst Burger I have ever had. The cheese wasn't even partly melted the Patty was cold. Avoid this place at all costs. Okay, except for the milkshake that was awesome.

  • April 16, 2026

Positively ridiculous to charge $24 for a burger patty with a slice of cheese and be sent around the corner to a "Bar" with nothing bit pickles available. Good luck finding someone to help besides the guy cleaning. He at least tried to get some assistance. This is the absolute worst spot to eat in the entire park. SKIP THIS STOP. Richter Burgers is fast, friendly, clean and the burgers come fully loaded.

Ordered 2 chicken bacon avocado sandwiches, fries, and one soda. I used to love the portabella mushroom burger that they had before they changed the menu. It was one of my favorite things in the park. The menu now is terrible. The chicken sandwich was dry, the bun was hard, the bacon was cold, and the avocado tasted like it was straight out of the prepackaged guacamole tub. Theme parks are always highway robbery when it comes to food, but please don't eat here. There are so many better places to eat.

Driest hockey luck burger in the planet. Staff was nice tho

  • April 8, 2026

I ordered one thing off the menu, the chicken bacon avocado sandwich. They had no avocado. They had avocado other places, but not here, despite avocado being in the name. The sandwich is normally great with avocado, bacon, and chicken that is marinated in a sauce that reminds me of pesto. So for $16.49 I got a dry sandwich with only meat on it.No substitution for the lack of avocado so no extra bacon for me. Would recommend, great to eat when they have avocado!

Barely gave me any bacon, the chicken for the burger was just a strip, way to expensive

  • February 5, 2026

I liked the burgers—a good place to enjoy a quick snack before continuing our tour of the park. In the end, I really loved the place because we got to meet the Aquilops “Dolores.” When I saw it, I thought, “Wow, that thing looks so real.”

Such a great place to go with the kids. The view of the dinosaurs is so cool and you get to do activities after you eat. Cali took our order at the restaurant and she was AMAZING!!! So nice and welcoming. She kept a smile the whole time she helped us!!

Got the bacon cheeseburger and chicken tenders with fries both were very good and Price reasonable for a theme park. May check out the Hard Rock Cafe but needs reservation due to the amount of people

  • December 31, 2025

It's Disney so await is normal and the prices are what they are. After waiting to make our order, there was a fairly long wait for our food, which did not include my burger despite having only ordered three items. I got back in line and ordered my burger. After going through the accessories bar (fabulous), I bit into my burger to discover it was cold and mostly raw. 😖

To make burgers this bad, you really have to try. I don’t understand how many dollars the management of this place saves by skimping on even a drop of sauce in the burger and an extra 20 grams of fries, but I hope those savings help them a lot. I honestly don’t get why such a great location is serving food this awful. And the sad part is, improving it would require just one simple step. Very disappointing.

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at Burger Diggs at Universal. My group was in town for the AYC/AYF cheer and football convention, and we all had full meal vouchers. We arrived six minutes before closing, and despite the restaurant still being open, Felicia denied us entry without any reasonable explanation. Her attitude was dismissive and unaccommodating, and it set a terrible tone after a long day at the event.

The food was all right. I got the Stegosaurus Burger Platter and my husband got the Grilled Chicken, Bacon, Avocado platter. I had them put the avocado in a cup so I could put it on my burger. First off, the bacon was paper thin. My husband was disappointed; however, the chicken was good. My burger was decent overall. The actual meat wasn't seasoned. I liked that the pepper was on top and the spice levep was perfect. Also enjoyed being able to grab tomatoes to add. The setting was nice, I likes being able to watch the coaster while eating and escaping the Florida sun. Overall, the food was filling and aside from wimpy bacon and unseasoned burger meat, it was good.

The burgers are expensive - as expected. But when you pay a lot of money and get food half of the size as it should be, I feel sorry for everyone that pays a lot of money here (including me). At the entrance of the restaurant you see burgers on pictures with salad, tomatos and more. What you become is a bun, a little bit of meat, bacon and cheese. No sauce, no tomato, no salad, nothing. Definitely a once in a lifetime experience for me.

Pathetic. Cold burger and chicken sandwich... so cold the cheese didn't even melt at all. Not expecting a fresh made burger but a warm burger would have been nice for $20.

The Burger Digs is a reliable quick-service spot inside the Jurassic Park Discovery Center, ideal for families and park-goers who want a fast, familiar meal. The menu sticks to basics—burgers, chicken tenders, and fries—with mobile ordering and plenty of seating to keep things efficient. The kid-friendly theming and wheelchair accessibility make it approachable for a wide range of guests. Food quality is decent but not standout. Burgers are serviceable, though lacking in flavor depth, and sides like fries can be hit or miss. Vegetarian and allergy-friendly options exist but are limited, and clearer labeling would help. For the $10–20 price range, guests may expect more freshness and variety. Still, it’s a solid fallback when convenience matters most. Parking is handled through Universal Orlando’s system, and guests have access to valet, paid garage, and surface lot options. While efficient, it’s not restaurant-specific—so expect to pay around $30 during peak hours and factor in walking time from the garage or drop-off point.

The Herbivore sandwich came with almost no filling and only bread
