One subject runs through these 25 reviews more than any other: the staff. Reviewers who mention front-of-house rate this place 4.7 on average — it is working in the restaurant’s favour. After that, wait times appears most often — 28% of the corpus, averaging 4.4.
Of the 25 rated reviews, 23 sit at four stars or better and 0 at two or below. The single most common rating left here is 5 stars (21 of 25). A third strand, how food arrives, appears in 16% of them at 4.5 stars.
Against that, the kitchen inspects well — an A (98/100), 2 basic violations at the most recent DBPR visit. The visit behind that grade was June 4, 2026. On health score it sits safer than 80% of the Orange County restaurants we grade. For specifics, the last inspection cited storage & handling of clean equipment and utensils and employee personal belongings.

We were not overly impressed with our experience at Charley's in Orlando. We had been to the one in Tampa several times and the experience is much better. This location, although not that busy on the Tuesday night we were there, the service was very slow and several mistakes were made. We sat at the bar to have a drink before proceeding to our table and the bartender was not very friendly and actually a bit condescending. When we sat down for dinner several mistakes were made: 1. They served two of the four people in our party and we had to wait about 4-5 minutes for the other two people at the table to be served. That is wrong for an establishment like this. All the meals should have been brought out at the same time. It was awkward. 2. Three of the four people in our party got steaks. Two of them got the filet mignon and one got the ribeye filet. When the food runner brought the food out they gave the ribeye filet to the wrong person but since it looks very similar on the outside to the regular fillet it wasn't realized until after we all started eating. I did notice a slight difference in one of the steaks so I had the food runner confirm which steak was which before we started eating and she still insisted that the correct person received the ribeye filet but they did not. 3. One of our side dishes did not come out when the second set of dinners came out and we had to ask the food runner to go get it. 4. Our waiter never came by to check on us after we received our meals…

amazing food with a nice background and atmosphere. the steaks that we ended up ordering were cooked perfectly, and the other appetizers that came with such as meatballs, salad, scallops, and potatoes were great to taste too. dessert was also amazing, cakes were phenomenal. creme brule was one of the best ive tasted.

Wow, wow, wow, wow! A young man at the Cabana Bay Resort told us about Charley's and said "It's expensive but the food is really expensive!" Well never scared of a challenge I called for a reservation. For me service is everything and when Kaley answered the phone with the most amazing, kind, encouraging and angelic voice, It was quickly established that Charley's was not going to be a basic dining experience. Arriving on site, I drove up and the Valet driver, Carlos, promptly but with smooth, classy swag, approached me and asked if we were dining to which I said yes but I need a handicapped parking space. Carlos, quickly moved a pylon and directed me to take any spot I wanted. Again, not a basic experience! Once inside, my wife and I were greeted with a bright and warm smile from Kaley who I spoke with on the phone. After our warm welcoming, the Chef's in the cooking area welcomed us as well and Kaley mentioned that we would only have to wait a brief moment to be seated, which was true! Before you know it, we are swiftly escorted to our seats by Tiara H, the Manager. (That's rare!) Tiara was a lovely person, professional and well groomed. And with full confidence of the team behind her, assured my wife and I that we would enjoy our experience. It's like Tiara spoke our experience into existence. Just seconds after Tiara walked away, a Hollywood actor of a man came to our table, greeted us and introduced himself as Angel. Long story short Angel was perfect and he was held it…

My family and I were in town this week and decided to check out Charley's for a nice steak dinner. From the time we stepped in, we were pleasantly surprised from the decor, atmosphere, staff! Jonathan seated us to our table which coincidentally was a preferred spot. So lucked out there! He was professional and courteous. Our server was also very knowledgeable about the menu and the history of the family's establishments! Fascinating! He was also very patient, considering last night being a busy night, and people were still getting seated even after closing time! The appetizers, steaks, cocktails, and dessert were delicious! We would definitely come here often if we lived in this area.

This was the most amazing dining experience of my life. We went to celebrate my boyfriends birthday, our server Josh was absolutely amazing and the star of our night he was very attentive and neither one of our drinks never went empty once. He was so informative on the different steak cuts and there flavor! The manager Theresa was also so so kind she gave us free Marsala meatballs which where so delicious and gave my boyfriend a card and some Hawaiian flowers that were so adorable!!! She also commped our desert which was the caramel cheese cake which was the best cheese cake I've ever had. Josh recommended amazing mocktails, cuts of meat, he brought the cheesecake out with a candle on top and offered to take pictures of us for me he was honestly the kindest. Overall 100000/10 best experience I've ever had a will be coming back for ever celebration and would recommend to everyone.

Love a place where the steaks are on display, they even have a cigar menu and smoking patio, an old school flare. Had the alligator appetizer, which does taste like a mix between chicken and spareribs. Service and environment is great, menu is loaded with options, long and extensive wine list. Will visit again next time I’m in Orlando

I enjoyed every bite of my steak, the aged ribeye was great. The dessert was an awesome finish.

First time dining at a Charley's Steakhouse and my husband and I were beyond satisfied! From the valet parking accommodations, to check-in for our dinner reservations, then being greeted by every member of staff we encountered from the grill, bar and servers on the floor, the atmosphere was very welcoming and friendly. The presentation of steaks and seafood was amazing and very helpful on deciding what cut of meat we wanted. Then the drink recommendations were so delicious as we had 2 rounds of. Our dinner selection of the whole split chicken breast, 50oz porterhouse steak with garlic mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus was TOP TIER! The shareable sides are actual shareable portions and more than enough for 2 people. Appetizers were calamari and butterfly fried shrimp and the flavor in EVERYTHING had our taste buds savoring for more. And the signature salad and cheese bread was delicious and tasty. Our servers were absolutely remarkable and attentive and we enjoyed the interaction of them all. Lastly, the pricing was even more reasonable than any other chain of Steakhouse that we have dined with and after leaving with a bag filled with our food choices, Charley's is now our #1 go to for restaurants in the Orlando area, beating out Flemings, Eddie Vs and Oceanaire! Choose Charley's for an overall A++++ experience and to satisfy your appetite!

Our honeymoon dinner! Josh was incredible! He made it so memorable! The food is amazing too but this place is not just food! It’s an experience in atmosphere, food and service!

I ate here recently on a vacation with my wife and daughter. I was very pleased all the way around. The food was outstanding and the service was immaculate. I had a bone in dry aged strip and it was delicious. My wife's steak was also very good and both were cooked perfectly. We also had some gator and tartar that was very good. The drinks were also good and lost of out-of-the-box choices. Phil took care of us and he did an amazing job. He was friendly and very attentive. I would definitely recommend stopping by if you happen to be in the area and I'd also recommend you ask for Phil.

Service and food were 10 out of 10! We were celebrating a birthday and they made is extra special including a nice birthday card and ice cream sundae. I highly the pork chop with a side of the bacon and cheddar mashed potatoes. The milet mignon was phenomenal.

Great experience for my first (and definitely not last) dinner at Charley’s! Our server, Brooke, was so informative and kind, and she even surprised us with a surprise congratulatory ice cream for our celebration for the evening. The bacon wrapped scallops were incredible, the wagyu tomahawk for two was excellent, and the augratin potatoes were a delicious side. If I’m being honest, the scallops were the star, but everything was amazing. No complaints whatsoever!
-
1st time there for me, service was good and pleasant. 1st courses were escargot which was plentiful and doused in garlic herb butter. Excellent. !!! Next was tableside steak tartar. Very good.! Entrees ......not so much......Bone in ribeye was not from the center but more of a end cut.....chewy and lots of grizzle. Pork chops...double chops. Ordered medium rare.....1 was raw the other was Rare but edible. They did whisk it away to be brought back still to rare. Took it home in a doggy box. Halibut I ordered was a good size portion dusted with some panko but had very little flavor. We ordered 2 sides......Cauliflower on a plank which was very good and a 17.00 Baked potato. Was expecting a huge potato that we could share but it was a regular sized potato which had all the fixings done tableside. Was it worth the price.....absolutely not. Overall it was an OK dinner but wouldn't make it my go to for a great steak place !!!!

Had a wonderful dinner at Charley’s Steak House tonight. The food was outstanding, from perfectly cooked steaks to delicious sides, and the service was exceptional from start to finish. A special thank you to our waiter, Angel, who was absolutely amazing. His knowledge of both the wine list and menu was impressive, and his recommendations made the evening even more enjoyable. Great food, outstanding service, and a fantastic dining experience. Highly recommend!
