Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
One subject runs through these 18 reviews more than any other: the staff. Opinion on front-of-house is split — those reviews land at 3.9 on average.
The single most common rating left here is 5 stars (13 of 18). Of the 18 rated reviews, 15 sit at four stars or better and 2 at two or below. No one in this corpus comments on value for money at all.
Against that, the kitchen inspects well — an A (95/100), 1 intermediate and 2 basic violations at the most recent DBPR visit. The visit behind that grade was May 26, 2026. Ranked against Orange County, it is safer than 61% of the restaurants we score. For specifics, the last inspection cited storage & handling of clean equipment and utensils and food manager certification.
Nothing here pulls in opposite directions — an unusually clean read. Full reviews follow below in the order they were left.

Great food and service.

My wife and I met another couple for lunch yesterday at First Watch on Sand Lake Road in Orlando, she explained to the server she had celiac disease and could eat no gluten. She ordered half of a gluten-free sandwich and salad. She became very sick with severe stomach pain, abdominal bloating and severe diarrhea within 30 minutes of leaving the restaurant. I returned and spoke with the manager who was courteous and professional and explained they do not have a gluten-free kitchen, but they do take precautions and someone checks each order before it leaves the kitchen for accuracy. The manager verified the server did indicate in her instructions to the kitchen that this was a gluten-free lunch entrée. I am writing this review a day after the experience, my wife is still very sick with severe symptoms. We understand the potential of cross contamination, but this degree of symptoms was likely much more than that. The most likely explanation is that she was served regular bread on her sandwich! I would be very careful as a celiac eating there, you need to verify everything with the person who brings out the food (who is not the server), so there is increased potential for mistakes.

In town from Wisconsin for a volleyball tournament. Everything was excellent. From the second we walked in. Chose this place based on reviews. Did not disappoint

Malcolm who served us was very kind and also talked with my family the food was was awesome and I suggest coming here

Really good made from scratch breakfast spot.

I came here last week, and the food and service were both great. However, after the family at the table directly next to us got up and the busboy came to clean the table, he used a BROOM to brush the entire table’s contents into a bin. I was stunned, and thought there’s no way that broom is also used on the floor. Sure enough, immediately after he was done sweeping the table, he swept the floor up underneath. That is so unbelievably gross, and I could not come back to this location knowing the table I’m eating off of is basically no cleaner than the floor.

The food was great, and Malcolm, our server, was exceptional!!! He anticipated our needs, handled every request with care, and made us feel genuinely valued. Service like that is rare and deserves recognition. When you come in, ask for Malcolm, his energy is infectious (in the best possible way 😆) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

First they do not listen your order , the server was very nice but the lady who bringing food sparkling makeup was rude . I asked for a water she said i do not have time .

The food was good but the service was pretty bad. We had a table full of plates/cups and we needed some things to be taken away and the girl said “I don’t have time” and walked away. Our main waiter was very nice but that girl who brings out the food was just plain rude

Cody was the most attentive server. He frequently stopped by to see if we needed anything. Great service. This is my favorite First Watch

My server Cody was excellent! He was very welcoming and had fast, attentive service and is very kind and friendly. Had lunch at first watch Dr. Phillips on Saturday, June 13, 2026. Food was very good too.

We had a nice brunch at First Watch. It's an easy, low-key establishment with friendly staff. I had the smoked salmon frittata and it was very pleasant. Lemon-dressed greens on the side were also very nice and not swimming in dressing, which shows attention to detail on the part of the kitchen. I'd recommend this place!
