What diners say — our read

There is a gap here worth naming: reviewers who talk about cleanliness are harder on this place than the inspector was. Reviews mentioning front-of-house average 3.2 stars, so it divides opinion rather than settling it. After that, price appears most often — 32% of the corpus, averaging 2.4.

The single most common rating left here is 5 stars (6 of 18). The split is 8 positive to 5 negative across 18 rated reviews, with 5 in the middle. A third strand, the state of the room, appears in 26% of them at 2.2 stars.

The health record runs ahead of the reviews. The last DBPR inspection returned an A (91/100) with 1 high-priority and 1 basic violations. The visit behind that grade was February 2, 2026. Its inspection trajectory is upward over the records we hold. That puts it ahead of 46% of graded kitchens in Orange County. For specifics, the last inspection cited storage & handling of clean equipment and utensils.

If cleanliness is what you care about, the reviews are the better guide here; if it is the kitchen, the grade is. Full reviews follow below in the order they were left.

Fantastic location for a SeaWorld visit—just a short shuttle ride away, with pickup right outside the lobby. The weekday breakfast buffet starts bright and early at 6 AM and offers a solid variety for only $18. We arrived before check‑in, left the car, and hopped on the shuttle with no hassle. After a long day at the park, we got back around 10 PM and checked in smoothly (though the bar had just closed). A personalized welcome on the TV greeted us when we entered the room, which made the stay feel even more inviting.

Breakfast is almost $20 and doesn't include fresh egg items, which is completely absurd. Mediocre rooms, cute location

The Hilton Garden Inn is situated in a great location to access iDrive and everything off of it. It also has a nice gym, restaurant, and bar. The rooms have been updated and are equipped with a coffee maker, small refrigerator and microwave. Across the street is an easy walk to bonefish Grill. There’s also a CVS so quite a bit accessible from the front door.

Overall, the stay wasn't bad. The room was clean and comfortable but had an odor. I spoke to staff about the odor and they sprayed in room but by the next day, the mildew odor was back. Staff was quick to accommodate any requests I made. Complimentary coffee was weak. I have yet to stay in a hotel that offered good coffee. They offered a free shuttle service to the parks which was nice; however, the bus was typically running late and the engine was so loud, patrons had to cover their ears when riding.

Breakfast was mediocre. Very close to Sea World. Plenty of Uber and Lift rides cheap and fast.

Hotel review I stay at Hilton garden in and location is fantastic but the hotel looks it’s run down was hold inside by the bathroom wall on top of the door ask if they could clean it and they says yes sure never was done , tile ing the shower was big crack with mold visible when check was no towels nos. Shower gel or shampoo just 1/4 left in bathroom I ask if could get some towels and the refill shampoo before go to dinner with my wife when come back nothing was taking care of needs to go to front desk ask again while waiting for the service I decide grab drink at the bar in the lobby some kind of bartender there he said is name was Anthony extremely rude and antisocial make me wait and ignore me all time was there until the front desk call me I just left did not want to drive or go out with my partner we both tired but because this so rude bartender we decided to bring our business elsewhere wich we were greeted and have fun at reservation bar at JW I highly recommend, then the ac was only blowing freezing 68 all night we just hold to ourselves and could wait to leave first and last time at this property unfortunately because has a lot potential due to the location!!

Great location.. service ok some seem like they didn't want to be at work

I understand this property gets used a lot because of its location. But, it didn't live up to its brand name in my opinion. The positives are its location, parking is available, not included in the price, but on site and easy to get to. The back door stays locked so only those with a key can access the building. I checked online and saw a fee for breakfast, we decided that we'll drive 5min to Cfa and pay half the price, or two blocks over to wawa before paying for a standard hotel breakfast. I'm ok with short drives to get what I want. The fitted sheets didn't fit properly so they didn't completely cover the mattress which felt gross. There was hair left around the room, clump on bed pictured. Things were dirty. Around the faucet in the sink, edges in the tub, the coffee pot itself hasn't had a good cleaning in a while. The hallways were unreasonably hot and muggy and this was the first weekend in May, I can't imagine what Aug feels like. I felt bad for the housekeeping staff who are stuck working in it. I did not speak to the hotel about the issues, if the sheets don't fit now, I don't expect them to have others on hand that do. If the room isn't spotless, I doubt the next room over would be either. We were in town for an event at the hotel next door and walking over was pretty easy which was the main priority for this stay. For the price per night, the rooms should be Much cleaner. Worn out and well used is expected, but cleanliness is at the minimum of what the standards…

Not bad for the price. However there are NO umbrellas by the pool! How could they do that when it’s 90°-+ in summer!? I am very disappointed. I did manage to find a bit of shade, But eventually, I’ll be in the sun again.

I freaking paid for a package deal for discovery cove... this hotel freaking is not worth it, jacuzzi don't work, hotel is not clean, empty shampoo, floor needs vacuum, And house keeping comes every other day!! Great location for the parks. But for the price paid, never again! Towels and bedding legit look and feel dirty. The shower tub feels slimy. Like We're literally staying at a hilton and I don't feel like anything in my room is clean!! No complimentary breakfast is big sad but beautiful breakfast.

While I believe in giving second chances, and I am a Hilton diamond member, this place decided to keep things status quo. Most everything I am going to state here, was exactly the way it was the last time I was here. The front desk staff is slow, rude, have snotty attitudes, and really just don't care. Our room was not ready when we arrived , (after 4:30pm) even though it was guaranteed ready after 4pm, and the front desk staff said, "that's just how it is." The AC was not working in our room, and it took over an hour for maintainance to get it fixed. I tried to get the front desk staff to change our room and he just decided to text on his phone, acting like he was doing something, then tell me oh, there nothing he can do, then continued to lean against the counter and play on his phone. There was only one towel in the bathroom, the toilet was not working correctly, the shower was not clean and the shower head needs to be replaced, ( it's covered in gunk and sprays all over. ). The floor near the elevators was constantly wet, making it slippery, and no wet floor signs anywhere, and when I called to the front desk, either from the room phone or my phone, it would just ring and no one would pick up. I went down to the front desk, and both phones were off the hook. The service here sucks, the front desk staff especially! We will never come here again.

  • May 29, 2026

Every time we called, no answer. The phone in our room can not call the front desk - it says the number is disconnected? They AC was not working but they did fix it. The staff just seems to not like their job.

    Comfortable n fun

  • May 18, 2026

I have stayed at this hotel several times before and all of my experiences have been great. It takes me no more than 15 minutes to walk from the hotel parking lot to SeaWorld’s front entrance, and that’s with a very relaxed pace.

    Hotel da evitare

  • May 17, 2026

I loved everything in this hotel. Helpful and friendly staff.

  • May 15, 2026

Room was nice. The pool appeared to be not maintained for a while, could use a pool boy! I also think for the rates they charge a continental breakfast could be included. We get that for less expensive stays elsewhere!
