Community Rating
Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
These 27 reviews do not converge on a single verdict. Reviewers who mention tidiness rate this place 4.5 on average — it is working in the restaurant’s favour. After that, service appears most often — 44% of the corpus, averaging 4.5.
No one in this corpus comments on speed of service at all. Of the 6 rated reviews, 5 sit at four stars or better and 1 at two or below. The single most common rating left here is 5 stars (3 of 6).
The health record runs ahead of the reviews. The last DBPR inspection returned an A (99/100) with 1 basic violations. The visit behind that grade was August 21, 2025. That puts it ahead of 87% of graded kitchens in Orange County. For specifics, the last inspection cited plumbing installed & maintained.
With both signals pointing the same way, there is little to argue about on this listing. The underlying reviews are reproduced in full underneath.

Enjoyed the hotel and the rooms. The new coffee machines in the breakfast area were nice.

Dirty bathrooms (mold, mildew and likely worse things abound), an elevator on its last legs with locked stairwells preventing an alternative means of floor access, the most generous description of this place would be meh.

The hotel was great no problem with the check in. My son and I was there for his college orientation. And on Friday morning he had to be on campus at 8:30 and wasn’t getting done until 1:30. So when I arrived back at the hotel I stopped and asked could I get a late check out and the guy behind the desk immediately told me no. He informed me that he had five people already checking out late and that there was nothing that he could do for me. He could push me back to 1130. If that will work first of all, I didn’t ask about anybody else second of all I didn’t have anywhere to go until my son got out at 1:30 so I thought OK well hey stay in a hotel till 12 and then go sit but no I had to leave and go sit in a Publix parking lot. until my son was done. My email is attached and I expect to hear from somebody.

I'm terrified of catching bed bugs, and this was the only hotel in 32828 that didn't mention bedbugs in the reviews. We stayed 5 nights and it was a very comfortable stay. We upgraded to a suite with living area and I'm glad we did since it was 5 nights and they offered us a very affordable price on the upgrade. The room was spacious and updated, the staff is phenomenal, everyone is so friendly and constantly asks if there's anything you need. They were very accommodating. Tess, the breakfast attendant is so sweet and friendly, she truly takes pride in keeping the breakfast items stocked and clean. The breakfast was pretty decent for a hotel breakfast, I really enjoyed the cheese omelettes, biscuits and gravy, and bacon. The 24 hr access coffee machines that grind fresh beans for each cup was extremely good, just as good as coffee you would get at a coffee house. The outdoor pool is small but we mostly had it to ourselves, some of the patio furniture needs to be replaced. We have family in the area so we will likely stay here again in the future, but some simple things to improve the hotel would be a deep cleaning of the rooms. Sending a company in to scrub and seal the grout in the bathroom is much needed. The cleanliness of our room could have been better, but since we were staying 5 nights and I was just so happy there were no bed bugs ( or any bugs for that matter) I didn't complain. I wiped the room down with Lysol wipes, there was some urine at the back of the toilet,…

Lovely experience with the hostess Tess. She’s very nice and excellent at her job . It’s a shame more people are not like this in the world. We talk like sister and brother.

I have to say that Tess in the Breakfast Express dining area has made my stay and my Dad's stay absolutely Amazing! She works extremely hard and is so attentive to all the guests who visit and come in for breakfast or just have a question. |I fellt at home here wheh Tess would say hello and good morning to us, she even helped my Dad and made him the pancakes he wanted but didn't know how. That's not just service, that's someone who understands people, who understands that they're are guests who need help... those pancakes and her help made his day! |I'm diabetic and she was even looking out for what I could eat and should eat too not raise or affect my blood sugar levels! Again, that's not just an employee doing her job, that's someone who cares, who listens, who goes beyond the uniform for the guests and their needs. Sure even advised my about the gluten free muffins, bagels and the hard boiled eggs that are part of my daily meals...I can't have gluten and she made sure there was always something available for me. |My blood sugars someone run low at bedtime and at night while sleeping and my Dexcon alarm sounds yelling me I need to eat...Tess have me ba couple of Greek Chobani yogurts to have in our room fridge just in case and I've gotta tell you, she saved me last nght and the other night from going too low. Thanks to the yogurts she gave me. Please recognize Tess and let Jr know that she is an incredible asset to the Holiday Inn Company and this Holiday Inn Express…

Poor cleanliness. Bathroom had hair on floor and an empty cup on the floor for three days. Desk staff was asked to clean the bathroom. No go. Did not happen. Bed not made for three days. This happened for both room on different floors. Which means several maid are not doing their jobs. Desk staff also said they do not vacuum, only when they do deep cleaning when ever that is. Not a pleasant stay. Now I know why people go to the Hilton.

Black mold in the bathrooms was horrible
-
Room was clean, plenty of pillows. Best part for us was the gluten free options on the breakfast bar!
-
Comfortable beds, good breakfast.

I have stayed at an abundance of hotels and this was not one of my pleasant stays. I am a Diamond Elite Member and Continuously tried to get an upgrade or move throughout my stay and finally the day before we check out they told me I could upgrade but I was moved to the same kind of room. And I continuously checked the website to make sure rooms were available and it showed plenty of rooms available. The first room I was in was right next to the pool so you could hear everyone outside at the pool and I couldn't open my blinds because then people could just see straight into my room. The vent fan in the bathroom didn't work and there was mold at the top of the shower. The door to the room was hard to open and even harder to close. When leaving for work one morning just after 6 AM I stopped to grab coffee And there was none, I was told that coffee would be put out when breakfast was put out. This will not be a hotel I stay at again.

The hotel was so clean, staff very friendly. I felt safe and secure. A lot of restaurants surrounding the hotel truly a hidden gem. The Only issue was the bed was so hard and the breakfast could have been better.
-
This is a good hotel for a the value of visiting UCF or dropping or picking kids up from UCF. Manager Jae Lee is very friendly and helpful.

I was greeted very warmly when I first checked in the room was excellent. The temperature was wonderful. The cleanliness of the hotel is what I loved about the place. The only problem I had the whole time was the toilet was a little low to the ground. When I was younger, it was easy, but at 77. It was a little hard to get up and down. made me use my muscles. Ha! Ha! But I did love the hotel. I definitely will be coming back.

Stayed just one night while attending a soccer match in Orlando. Very easy access to and from the stadium. Good beds, ok breakfast, nice service. I would happily return.
-
Area too crowded, some staff spoke broken English, door hard to open
-
Positive: The breakfast was the best continental breakfast we've ever had Negative: The only thing was the conditioner, I think it was filled with shampoo. Everything else was amazing
