What diners say — our read

The direction of travel is downward across these 25 reviews. Reviewers who mention the staff rate this place 4.1 on average — it is working in the restaurant’s favour. After that, how long an order takes appears most often — 24% of the corpus, averaging 4.4.

Behind those, serving size is raised in 20% of reviews (4.2 average). The split is 16 positive to 2 negative across 20 rated reviews, with 2 in the middle. More reviewers landed on 5 stars than any other score — 12 of 20.

On the inspection side the picture is cleaner: DBPR graded this kitchen an A (98/100), with 2 basic violations. Whatever the reviews argue about, sanitation is not the weak point. That result dates from September 5, 2025. On health score it sits safer than 80% of the Orange County restaurants we grade. What the inspector actually wrote up: clean clothes and wiping cloths.

Both measures agree, which is the least complicated version of this page. The underlying reviews are reproduced in full underneath.

    Some of the BEST hospitality!

  • June 28, 2026

My complaint with the hotel: I went to the front desk and explained that the kids across the hall keep knocking on my door in the evening. I have a young child who was sleeping. The explanation I got from the front desk was “there is 2 events going on with kids running everywhere” this was a bad customer service

Beautiful hotel. Clean and spacious rooms. Great amenities.

This hotel is a bit of an over hyped place. Upon arrival it’s very easy to tell landscaping isn’t their top priority. Weeds, un trimed bushes, etc. Upon arrival at the front door. You will be swarmed with bell service guys. They won’t let you take your luggage by your self. And once they take all your luggage they will proceed to hold it in the bell area until you come begging for them to bring it up. Keep in mind I had fresh groceries in with my luggage that needed to be refrigerated. Finally after getting to our room we finally went directly to the bell service desk. Where Edmond was claiming he had called are room but no one answered. Yeah right we were just in our room and no one had called. Thankfully he then brought are stuff to our room. But tried hard for a tip just after we had tipped the first bell man. Not a good look for Hyatt. This hotel is rough on the edges. Rooms are not very spacious nor modern. I’ve stayed at holiday inn expresses that are nicer. The pool is neat but isn’t all that nice once you’re there. Expect a long walk from both your room and to the pool. Parking was far in the back. And elevators were very slow. Only good thing about this place is the convention center. It was a great place for the convention I attended but the hotel needs a full renovation. Pay the extra money and stay at a Disney or Marriott hotel if your staying in the Lake Buena Vista area. Sad to see a Hyatt this scale is doing as poor as it is.

It was a great experience except the pool bar. I am still waiting to see how my bill pans out.

Overall, I had a good experience during my stay at the Hyatt Grand Cypress. The resort is beautiful, the location is convenient, and there are many amenities available to enjoy. The property has a relaxing atmosphere, and I especially enjoyed the dining options, including Four Flamingos, which was a highlight of my visit. There were a couple of areas that I feel could be improved. The parking situation was frustrating. I had a handicap parking permit, but the designated accessible parking spaces were frequently blocked by cones, which required me to get out of my vehicle multiple times to move them in order to park. Even after being moved to another parking area, I continued to experience the same issue with cones blocking the accessible spaces. This was inconvenient and made parking more difficult than it should have been. After bringing this concern to management several times they ultimately reimbursed me the parking fees. I just hope they fix the parking situation for those who have disabilities and should have quick and easy handicap access. I also visited the braid booth located near the pool area. I understand this is a third-party vendor and not directly operated by the resort; however, I was surprised that some of the services listed on their menu were not services the staff member was trained to provide. It would be helpful for the available services to accurately reflect the skills and training of the staff so guests have clear expectations when booking. Despite…

The hotel looks somewhat tired, we definitely won’t be coming back. The only good thing about this hotel is the service, everyone is very kind!

The resort was very beutyfull place to stay. We where here for 5 nights to mostly enjoy Disney and Universal. The resort provided free busses to those parks the was very convient! Cause parking in the those parks is very expensive. The rooms where very comfortabel and big with a small balcony. First day the small balcony door was broken but it was fixed quickly by mechanic when we went to reception. So we could watch the fireworks from there. Cause the vieuw was amezing on the 17th floor! The pools was very nice aswell big and good place to swim and relax. Breakfast you could do do 2 thing go to the market to buy a sandwich or join breakfast buffet. And both we great options and service was great on both places!

Used to stay here years ago and couldn’t remember why we stopped until I did.. Let me start by saying, this hotel is clean, well maintained and worth more than 2 stars, HOWEVER, the resort fees and parking will add a lot more to your room cost, and if you self-park be prepared for the “hike”. We stayed June 18-21. During our stay there was a LARGE wedding that every guest staying/paying here had to put up with! Days (seriously, days!) of picture taking on the grounds where we were stopped by the photographers or shooed a different direction, elevators full of rude wedding party guests (you could tell who they were) all culminating with the main event Saturday night that kept us up well into the early morning hours! I am sure we weren’t the only folks planning to hit the road early Sunday morning. I can take a lot but a hotel that sacrifices paying guests’ experience to accommodate a specific group event is a problem! There is a large event building adjacent to the hotel that could’ve hosted the large gathering we were all forced to endure, wish they had used that! We won’t stay here again.

UPDATE REVIEW JUNE 2026: My family and I recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress in Orlando again this June, and it continues to be one of our favorite vacation destinations. We’ve been returning for years, and every visit reminds us why we keep coming back. The property is exceptionally clean and beautifully maintained. The staff consistently provide outstanding service, demonstrating both professionalism and genuine friendliness that make every guest feel welcome. One of the things we love most is the incredible variety of activities available. Whether it’s riding bikes, paddle boarding, canoeing, paddle boating, or enjoying the scenic trails for jogging and biking, there’s always something fun to do. The pools are beautiful, the waterslide is a huge hit with the kids, and the nightly outdoor movies create wonderful family memories. The game room keeps the children entertained, and the fitness center is one of the best hotel gyms we’ve experienced, with everything needed to maintain your workout routine while away from home. The dining options are excellent, and we’ve always enjoyed the quality of the food throughout the resort. We also appreciate the convenience of room service and the ability to order special amenities and treats delivered to your room for celebrations and special occasions. One of our favorite features is booking a room that faces the theme parks. The views are fantastic, and being able to watch the fireworks from the surrounding parks each…

Had a great time staying here. It is in a good location close to the parks and Disney springs. The pool and activities at the hotel are fun as well. The customer service was amazing. Shout out to Anthony managing the arrival area who was very friendly and helpful.

Fijn hotel vlakbij Disney. Meerdere keren geweest. Prijs-kwaliteit is oké. Orlando is sowieso vrij prijzig, maar dat weet je vooraf. Ook betaal je extra voor parkeren en een resortfee. Maar je krijgt daar wel wat voor terug.

Only one wash cloth in the room when we arrived. Requested more and received zero. Housekeeping never replaced the ONEwash cloth.

Large hotel with many amenities. Large conference area, with many breakouts for events. Pool area is nice, with a small pond to do water activities on.

Exceptional week-long stay for a recent conference! The entire staff at the Hyatt Grand Cypress—front desk, conference center, and housekeeping—is incredibly courteous and accommodating. My room was comfortable and highly functional, featuring great outlet placement for electronics, a spacious bathroom, and a great ceiling fan. After a week here for a very full conference schedule, I felt as relaxed as if I’d been on a cruise. Highly recommend!

Wonderful experience and stay. Went to a conference on site and it was amazing. The staff was so awesome and friendly. The coffee shop was amazing, and the view was spectacular. Going to a conference was great because everything is on site and easy to get too. The food they served as part of the conference was outstanding. Great experience.

Scheduled a staycation from Tampa to the Grand Cypress Resort in Orlando. We left after 1 night. The Sat we arrived the pool was over crowded - zero chairs, but I get it, we arrived at 11. Had cocktails by the pool and went home to get ready for dinner. Showed up at Four Flamingos for our dinner Rez only to be told they didn’t have it and I could “sit at the bar.” I left. ||Woke up the next morning attempted to go out on our pool view balcony to see what the pool was like - except our balcony door never opened. It was stuck shut. Through the window I could see that every SINGLE chair had a towel out to reserve it and less than 3 people were actually in the chairs. ||At that juncture the errors combined with the massive wedding at the resort which made it over crowded, we opted to just leave and return to Tampa. ||We were married at a Grand Hyatt, held our reception at a Grand Hyatt and will not be returning. ||I gave the resort the opportunity to try and improve the situation and they opted with the “we don’t know. So there is nothing we will do.” Reply. Do better Hyatt.

We had an absolutely incredible stay at Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress this past weekend, and it will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Not only is the resort beautiful, relaxing, and full of endless amenities, but it’s also where my husband surprised me by proposing all over again. It was a weekend we’ll never forget. Adding to the significance of our stay, my husband recently started working for Hyatt, so getting to experience the exceptional hospitality that Hyatt is known for firsthand made the trip even more meaningful for us. We also want to give a special shoutout to Chance, one of the pool waiters, who truly went above and beyond. He kept our hands full of delicious virgin daiquiris all weekend and always made us feel welcomed and cared for. One day I casually asked if they had whipped cream to top them off. They didn’t at the time, but Chance remembered and made sure they had it available the very next day. It was such a thoughtful gesture and speaks volumes about the level of service he provides. The resort is stunning, the staff is exceptional, and the memories we made here are priceless. Thank you, Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, for giving us a weekend we’ll cherish forever—and thank you, Chance, for making it even sweeter. And last but not least, Merlot for always saying Hello! We can’t wait to come back! ❤️🍹✨💍

Just got back for a short resort vacation with the plans of just being disconnected from work. The Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Resort did exactly that. The grounds are great, the lake was enjoyable and had fun on the pedal bicycle boats. The pool is fantastic and never felt crowded. Really enjoyed the wildlife all around as well. Great that it’s so easy to get to and a VERY short uber to Disney Springs. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The lobby is great and Merlot is such a unique touch. Our room was switched from pool view to lake view - despite being a “downgrade”, we still enjoyed it! The room had views of Magic Kingdoms nightly fireworks. Overall this is a great addition to our rotation of Orlando hotels. Really liked it here and will continue to book.

  • June 6, 2026

Great rooms; great activities - great pool and pickleball; great service - especially Jacob at the front desk and Chance by the pool who ensured my wife and I will be coming back; and great location for the parks. My one recommendation is that the breakfast be improved - it was just ok compared with the hotel’s other offerings. Great service but buffet and the eggs there were not great.

I was here for a conference. The conference include included catered meals, and they were delicious. The conference rooms are large and well suited for lots of people, and multiple course courses. I believe the attendance count was around 2,300 people on Sunday. The grounds are beautiful and large.
