This Japanese restaurant offers some of the best sushi and ramen I’ve tried in a long time. The flavors were authentic, and every dish was prepared with great care and attention to detail. The appetizers and desserts were equally impressive. The staff members were welcoming and attentive, creating a comfortable and enjoyable dining experience.

I’d like to start by saying that the dinner omakase experience was positive overall. Of course, I wouldn’t consider it perfect, hence the 4 stars. I’ll list off some pros and cons of our night. Pros: The food was immaculate. Many different dishes with unique presentations and styles. Fresh ingredients plated beautifully. The service was great. Very attentive and nice staff; No empty dishes left sitting. Staff available at all times for questions or needs. Dishes and drinks described in detail when presented. The sake experience was wonderful and paired well with the dishes. Despite not being a fan of sake, the different options broadened my taste and helped me to find flavors that I enjoyed. The bathroom was well equipped and has a Japanese-style toilet with heated seat and bidet (if you’re into that kind of thing). The small room with few seats makes the experience more immersive and intimate if you’re there with someone else. Cons: The first downside would have to be ambiance. Although the experience was enjoyable, I wouldn’t say it was exactly what I expected for fine dining. The music selection was a variety of different genres including rap, country, pop, etc. The omakase room is lightly decorated, not much to look at besides the food being presented. Chef Mark. I’m putting him as a “con” on this list only because once again, he does not come off as someone who serves fine dining style meals. He is personable and chatted with me and the other guests throughout the…

It’s hard to find a restaurant that serves traditional Japanese breakfast, so this is a treat for sure. Kadence is already a respected sushi restaurant, so definitely come for sushi, but if you want to eat at Kadence more affordably for an equally special meal, come for breakfast. Also the staff are awesome!!! 🇵🇭 thank you Mark and Jen! 🍚

Best Omakase I've had so far!
-
We had an amazing time here. Mark and Jen were so fun, and the atmosphere was phenomenal. Each dish was interesting and well balanced, and it was by far my favorite omakase experience so far. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an interactive, fun, and high quality omakase experience. We hope to be back the next time we are in Orlando! P.s. also a great place to check out a nice bidet!

Awesome presentation of all things sashimi and nigiri for seven guests. We pared saki. A truly great experience.
-
Very mid omakase for the price, and the head sushi chef had a bad attitude the entire time.

I'm actually shocked this is a Michelin starred restaurant. I’ve done my fair share of fine dining having been to restaurants like El Central in Peru and recently Victoria & Albert's also in Orlando, and I am trying to provide context that I know what a fine dining experience should be like. Kadence did not come close to my expectations for the price ($350-450, depending on options) or the rating. For starters, the vibe of this place was out there with very eclectic music including multiple Eminem songs, theme song from Giligen’s island, notorious BIG, country music, reggae, r&b, some electronic. It's like they had the playlist on random. It didn't have a theme that generally accompanies a fine dining restaurant of a particular food type. Then there is the "Live nudes" neon sign in the main room. I expect this in a hip sports bar, not a Michelin starred restaurant. The service was just average. Nothing special. No welcoming by name for a dining room that seats only 8. No recognition of two birthdays celebrating there. No recognition of dietary preferences that they ask about during the reservation. Then there is the issue with the chef Mark. He was engaging in a bunch of topics that didn't interest me much like stuff related to TV shows, weed, lots of F bombs and came off like he was trying to be cool. It seemed really juvenile to me. I would have preferred something related to the craft and why we were all paying several hundred dollars each to be there. Maybe some story…

Kadence is absolutely next-level. The omakase experience here blew me away—every bite was masterfully prepared, fresh, and packed with flavor. The maguro melted in my mouth, the uni was insane, and the sake pairings took it all to another level. The chefs behind the counter were not only insanely talented but also genuinely fun to chat with. Music was bumpin’, the energy was electric, and the whole night felt like a celebration. Can’t wait to go back. Believe the hype.

Simply, the best Sushi experience of our lives. Mark and his wife offer the best restaurant atmosphere and food possible

This is the first and only omakase I’ve been to, and my second Michelin-starred restaurant. First - absolutely worth the star, and IMO, worth two. Mark and Jen were an absolute masterclass in hosting and entertainment. The sushi was leagues higher than anything I’ve had elsewhere, and the tasting courses were invariably delicious. The price is outrageous and there’s no way around that. But if you have the money to spare, especially for a special occasion, I highly recommend Kadence.

Well, it has taken me way too long to finally make it but I was extra proactive on this trip to my hometown and booked a spot early. What an experience! I can't recommend it enough. I think we had courses coming for something like 3.5 hours. I've done tasting menus before but this was on a whole other level. Mark and Jen were spectacular hosts and Mark had us dying laughing between moments of food induced ecstasy and educational question answering. If you have the chance to make it, I'd say it lives up to the hype for sure.

Kadence is an absolutely exceptional experience. The owners (Mark and Jen) are incredible. Kadence is more than just the food, it's about the experience. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone that loves sushi. Be open to new things when going here, there is so much to enjoy.

The best in Orlando

Wonderful food and service
-
I've been wanting to go to Kadence since I heard about it two years ago and finally got a chance to go when I was in town. Food was great and desserts were awesome too! Mark and Jen made the experience fun and enjoyable. We'll be joining them again very soon for their couples sushi class!
-
They offer dessert tasting/bento that's worth trying. a hidden gem in Orlando.

Fully deserving of Micheline star

Excellent
-
Very mid. Head sushi chef had a bad attitude all night. Much better omakase options in the area.
-
The freshness of the fish is unmatched! So good!!
-
A must go in Orlando for both the amazing menu and fantastic drinks !!
-
Places so overrated, for people who don't have a good food pallet it is not worth The money should only be like forty to fifty dollars.A person
-
As the night went on, the chef’s behavior noticeably changed — he seemed increasingly out of it, possibly under the influence. He started mumbling, swearing, and making disrespectful comments directly to guests. As the evening progressed, he also became more and more agitated, which made the atmosphere tense and unpredictable. Unfortunately, the food itself was average at best — not enough to make up for the overall discomfort. Definitely not an experience we’d repeat
-
This was one of the best Omakase dining experiences. If you’re looking for amazing food, great ambiance, and top-tier service, Kadence is the place to be! Giselle is absolutely amazing and makes the experience even more worth it. Definitely, will be returning.
-
An outstanding dining experience. Kadence lived up to the hype. It has a kind of speak-easy feel. 3 distinct eating areas. There’s no signage to Kadence. Just a black building with doors. I tried the first door…and entered their sake bar…which was small, pleasant and I understood does sake and sushi. We were welcomed by a server who walked us to the Kadence Bar, a separate entrance and a whole different experience. There’s also the omakase restaurant with a 15 course menu. Their Bar is an al a carte menu. Exceptional! A small room seating about 15 guest. My wife is vegetarian and they were accommodating with a vegetarian sushi offering. I had their chirassi bowl which was outstanding…a rice bowl with sashimi and Japanese veggies. To finish off, I had their matcha tiramisu …yummy with just the perfect sweetness. We will certainly be back.
-
Incredible experience at Kadence. We enjoyed the chefs seven course omakase tonight. The food and presentation were beyond words. Truly a unique and unforgettable dining experience!
-
The couples’ sushi class was phenomenal! Wonderful instructors were informative yet hilarious. I haven’t had such delicious sushi anywhere else except Japan (and it’s not because I made it, the quality of the fish is just that good)! Can’t wait to visit again and maybe bring the kiddos for a class!
