What diners say — our read

This listing's ratings cluster at the two ends of the scale. Opinion on how guests are treated is split — those reviews land at 3.8 on average.

13 of 17 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 2 are two or lower. 5 stars is the modal score, given by 13 of the 17 reviewers who rated. Conspicuously absent: price, which no reviewer brings up.

On the inspection side the picture is cleaner: DBPR graded this kitchen an A (90/100), with 1 intermediate and 7 basic violations. Whatever the reviews argue about, sanitation is not the weak point. That inspection was on May 12, 2026. The trend across inspections is improvement. On health score it sits safer than 42% of the Orange County restaurants we grade. Among the items recorded were clean clothes and wiping cloths.

With both signals pointing the same way, there is little to argue about on this listing. The individual reviews are below, newest first, if you want the raw material.

I had such a lovely afternoon at Kobe Steakhouse with my girlfriend! Our server, Shirley, was an absolute gem—so kind and attentive. And Chef Toshi? Oh, what a delight! He brought such fun energy to the table. The food was mouthwatering, and honestly, the whole place had this welcoming, friendly vibe. I’ll definitely be back for more!

This is my child's review: The fish are very pretty and they were also very fun to feed. and their boba is amazingly delicious 🤤 and the yum yum sauce is good but it actually tastes yummy so I am glad it was called that. our sever was super nice and her name was Amy 🙂 and the surroundings were beautiful and I felt like I was actually in japan 🇯🇵

After today I will not be returning to this location. I was seated at a table in the bar area and I was never tended to. I sat at the table for 30 mins no one ever came to acknowledge us. I went up to the bar 3 different times the bartender still never acknowledged me. After waiting for so long with not even a menu being dropped off at the table I decide I would rather leave… the hostess apologized multiple times and I even spoke with a manager who stated that the bartender was “busy” and probably didn’t see me which was complete crap because like stated I went up to the bar 3 times & it was only 3 guest sitting at the bar at the time who had already been served. The manager attempted to make the situation better by seating me in another area… that was no better Ms.Amy was in such a rush kinda like she didn’t want to be servicing us.. After all the commotion I still decided to order a Long Island iced tea which came to my table watered down.. after that I just decided to leave & head to the other Kobe’s on Kirkman 8 mins away & just avoid the headache they were giving. Upon being seated there they give you a hot cloth for your hands and actually acknowledge you as soon as you’re sat down & they were way more busier than the idrive location smh.
