Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
The most recent reviews here are worse than the older ones — 3.1 against 4.6. Service is the sore point: those reviews average 2.3.
One subject never comes up here: how long an order takes. 16 of 23 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 7 are two or lower. If you had to pick one number to represent this corpus it would be 5, the most frequently given rating (15 reviews).
On the inspection side the picture is cleaner: DBPR graded this kitchen an A (95/100), with 5 basic violations. Whatever the reviews argue about, sanitation is not the weak point. DBPR last walked in on March 3, 2026. Across its inspection history the kitchen is declining, which argues for reading the older reviews with caution. Ranked against Orange County, it is safer than 61% of the restaurants we score. The citations behind that grade include food-contact surfaces clean and sanitized and nonfood-contact surfaces clean.
Neither signal is decisive on its own here, which is why both are shown. The individual reviews are below, newest first, if you want the raw material.

Food is yummy! They got so much variety. Yes it is next to a gas station but don’t let that fool you. Food is so yummy and they keep this spot very clean!

I purchase a sancocho on May 30th, brought home 30min away from this location and I ended up with food poisoning and i ate it same day. Food poisoning is the worst ever, and until today June 8 Im still sick. Be very careful.

This place just needs to be shut down. Service is horrible. Also place needs to be re-done. So disappointed. Food just awful.
-
The chicken here is absolutely AMAZING and for low low prices too. Can't be beat.

I just found this place while looking for a Latin restaurant near where I work. I decided to try the Mofongo and got an Octopus Salad to take home. The Mogongo was one of the best I've had in a while. Perfectly done and the pork was excellent as well. The Octopus Salad was very good. I highly recommend the Mofongo.

Ambiente familiar agradable.

I got a plate of some rice and beans and some meat and a can of soda and it was $20 way overpriced. Especially for the plate of food they give me probably only cost them about $2 I usually get my food in Orlando from a Spanish place and I get that same plate of food in a can of soda for $12 not $20..... this was my first time there and my last time there I won't go back way overpriced for some cheap rice and beans.......

Their pollo guisado and bacalao dishes were delicious.

Incredible
-
Horrible. They give you a pound of whatever rice dish you choose and very little meat. Also, there is no standard amount of anything - if the server you get likes you, you get a lot, if the server doesn't like you, yo get very little.

Stopped in on Saturday right after they opened to get a couple Chicharrón and ended up getting a cup of sancocho too. Great choice. The soupe was incredible! Highly recommend!
-
Super comfy place to have a great meal. I had their new sandwich de tostones with queso frito y salami (super yummy), their chicharrón and maduros (juicy crunchy and delicious), and their flan de queso was great too. The lady also let me try the juice before I buy it to see if I like it, I had their mango juice and it was really good! Definitely recommend!
