Read together, this corpus is a split decision. Reviews mentioning how long an order takes average 3.6 stars, so it divides opinion rather than settling it. The staff follows at 21% of reviews, where ratings average 3.7.
5 stars is the modal score, given by 12 of the 28 reviewers who rated. Of the 28 rated reviews, 19 sit at four stars or better and 9 at two or below.
Against that, the kitchen inspects well — an A (96/100), 4 basic violations at the most recent DBPR visit. That inspection was on January 28, 2026. On health score it sits safer than 66% of the Orange County restaurants we grade. Among the items recorded were nonfood-contact surfaces clean and storage & handling of clean equipment and utensils.

Ordered fish and chips at this place. Nothing wrong with the fish, but the fries must have been sitting for hours. It’s not even warm.

REALLY good food, and good service. Had the Fisherman's Pie, and it tasted amazing.

I’ve been coming here for years this is one of my all time favorite places to eat, yet! The park opens at 10:00am and breakfast closes at 10:30am. We tired to make it one day just to be covered in sweat and show up at 10:31am. Of course when we walk in to ask the staff she’s very dismissive and tells us to go sit down, we have to stand there and interrupt her at ask about breakfast (we were the only ones in line) then is once again dismissive and says you need a meal ticket from your hotel. Which is fine! But unfortunately trying to get one isn’t as a walk in the park either because a lot of them don’t know what we’re talking about! And we got transferred to three people because they don't know! So not only did your employee completely dismiss us when we tired to ask her questions, universal doesn’t seem to care about their guest experience anymore. This is my first time being disappointed with this park unfortunately, I really wanted to eat breakfast here. But the staff didn’t know how to get allow us to eat here, I’ve gotten meal tickets in the past k eat here but I didn’t buy one this time, because it use to open at 9am and this is to much hassle.

I wanted to take a moment to recognize Kat at The Leaky Cauldron for providing exceptional customer service during my visit. From the moment I arrived, Kat was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Her warm personality and positive attitude made the experience even more enjoyable. She went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and genuinely valued as guests, and her enthusiasm and kindness truly stood out. Employees like Kat make a lasting impression and are a big part of what creates memorable experiences. Please pass along my appreciation and thanks for her outstanding service. She is a wonderful representative of The Leaky Cauldron, and I hope she receives the recognition she deserves.

Quick pricy food, it’s decent, and has definitely improved quality-wise over the years I’ve been here. Interior is amazing and staff are nice too. Photo of the sausage roll.

If you're a celiac, skip it. There's only 2 items gluten free, the chicken sandwich which includes fries. The bun is seemingly made of cardboard and the chicken was a teeny tiny piece on the cardboard bun with a lot of sauce.

Excellent vegan dishes and atmosphere! Must visit place at Universal Studios

I think Harry Potter ate there and the food was good.

It's really cool I think Harry Potter ate there food was delicious and tasty and like food It's pretty cool it looks like the real leaky cauldron

We had a lovely meal here today. You get yourself a seat after being guided in. Once at your seat you have to order your food through your Universal App or by scanning the QR code on your table. It can be a bit tricky and it took us a couple of attempts to order the food. Once our order was placed though, the drinks came out then the food soon after. No complaints about the food. The whole dining area is Harry Potter themed and where we were sitting it was quite dark. Six of us had a soft drink each and a main course which came to a total of $130.

Even the fries were bad. They were so incredibly dry. The fish and chips was also dry and tasted like nothing. The fact that it didn't taste straight up bad is why it's 2 stars. Maybe this is authentic - the Leaky Caludron didn't really look like it had great food in the movie.

It must be genuinely difficult to be a Universal executive and spend your entire career being compared to Disney. You have my sympathy. Mostly. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is remarkable. Walking into Hogsmeade for the first time does something to you that you don't entirely expect. The Leaky Cauldron is atmospheric, the food is decent, and the butterbeer is worth the hype. They've built something special. And then your shepherd's pie arrives on a styrofoam plate with a plastic fork. I visited Disneyland last year. The food — which nobody goes to a theme park expecting to write home about — arrived on real plates, with real cutlery, like they'd considered the possibility that eating is part of the experience. It was a small thing that turned out not to be small at all. Universal has conjured an entire magical world. They've reproduced Diagon Alley brick by brick. Somewhere, someone spent months perfecting the exact shade of butterbeer foam. And then, apparently, the meeting ended before anyone got to the part about whether a plastic spork was the right vessel for delivering this experience. You're in a world of wizards. You can do better than styrofoam.

The best English comfort food in Diagon Alley!

There are so many delicious menu options, and it really feels like you're eating inside a Hogwarts restaurant. I also loved that we could sit at the table and order through a QR code — it was super convenient.

Sausage roll and bangers and mash made me sick. Had to throw up to feel better. Horrible experience. The fries in the fish and chips are horrible as well. The pies taste microwaved. Everything tastes cheap and gross

As a British citizen who has lived there all my life, I recommend this British restaurant. One of the best meals I've had on my two week holiday in the Orlando theme parks. The entire 6 person party I traveled with agrees with these points.

Good lunch
-
Some of the best Guinness Stew I've ever had. The rest of the food we had was great too.
-
The fish and chips was absolutely delicious. Service was very quick and ordering on the app is super easy. Highly recommend.

Atmosphere is great, that’s it. You have to order on the app, scan QR codes, and go through an entire process just to order your food and drinks (we almost walked out because of this hassle). British full breakfast and a side of scotch eggs. I mean, i wasn’t expecting a London pub, but butchering an easy meal like this is astonishing. The best thing were the potatoes because they were crusted with rosemary, the only flavor on the plate (that was also plastic).

We liked this beef dish 😍
-
The process to order and get a table took a while, but it was a good experience. I liked the theming and the food was decent.

While dining at The Leaky Cauldron in Universal Studios, a male server touched my back twice without any apology or acknowledgment. He first brushed against me while passing by. After delivering food, he returned and touched my back again with his other hand. As a male customer, this repeated unnecessary contact made me feel very uncomfortable and disrespected. This behavior is completely unprofessional. Management should address it immediately. I will not return.

Update 4/26 at ~1400. Sadly nothing has improved yet with the gift card nor the ordering process if you are not using mobile app. However the quality of the food is definitely worse. Several of our fish pieces were half fish and half breading. Chips (fries) are now thinner and most weren't even cooked properly. Worst part, I went to the counter to order (due to gift card) and I returned with the drinks and the food was on the table. Meaning it was already done and just needed to get plated. It was partially cold and mixed temps on the fries. Personally I would rather wait a few minutes for fresh than just be served what's ready. Previous review from 2022 While the food here is one of the best in the park, the mobile ordering process has destroyed the experience. I much preferred the order at the counter and then get seated at a table. The magic lamp was far better than telling someone what my table is. Twice we were assigned tables and guests were already sitting there. I understand the desire to push things to mobile ordering, but that process doesn't have any way to make a gift card work so it was useless for me too. Please take a step back and strongly consider what a dining room experience should be.

Great theme park pub food. It’s great quality for a theme park meal! Don’t expect a true pub experience or true pub food, but I have to say the Scotch Egg was on point! Not to mention their own tasty brews.
-
The Bangers & Mash and Fish & Chips were both great - arguably the best food we had at Universal Resorts. Food arrived at the table in less than 15 minutes, and the decor and atmosphere were spot on. A must-visit for a proper meal in the park.
