The 4.3-star average is misleading — almost nobody actually rated it that. Reviewers who mention the staff rate this place 4.1 on average — it is working in the restaurant’s favour.
17 of 21 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 3 are two or lower. More reviewers landed on 5 stars than any other score — 16 of 21. What nobody raises here is tidiness — it goes unmentioned across all 21 reviews.
The health record runs ahead of the reviews. The last DBPR inspection returned an A (94/100) with 1 intermediate and 3 basic violations. That result dates from June 24, 2026. The trend across inspections is improvement. On health score it sits safer than 56% of the Orange County restaurants we grade. What the inspector actually wrote up: storage & handling of clean equipment and utensils and plumbing installed & maintained.
Both measures agree, which is the least complicated version of this page. Full reviews follow below in the order they were left.

One of the best Italian places I’ve been too. This restaurant will be one of the highlights of our trip to Orlando. The food was delicious. And I want to highlight that whoever decided to add in snap peas to the lobster carbonara dish, was a genius. The butter cake for dessert was to die for. Simply magnificent. And paired well a nice cup of coffee or cappuccino. Other than the food, the service was absolutely phenomenal. Our waitress, Nara, was kind, attentive, and funny. Her attitude and presence simply elevated the entire evening. Maggiano’s needs to make sure they do everything they can to keep her.

Such a great spot to grab some amazing Italian food. The vibe in there is classy but casual, awesome wines and cocktails too. Above all of it was at a great price point too.

My family loves Italian cuisine and Maggiano's did not disappoint! Our reservation got us there just as they opened. We beat the rush because that place was packed! Our server was most attentive and accommodating, even anticipated what we needed! I wish I remembered his name! A couple nights have passed before writing this review, and my memory has failed me! Nonetheless, he made our dining experience very enjoyable. We were able to have a nice family dinner without fretting about the food and service because everything was fantastic! I've already recommended this place to our friends! Thank you!

I’ve been a loyal Maggiano’s customer for many years and have enjoyed dining at several of your locations across the United States. Unfortunately, this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had at a Maggiano’s. We arrived around 9:30 PM as a party of eight in one of Orlando’s busiest tourist areas. I completely understand arriving close to closing time, but what disappointed us wasn’t the timing—it was the complete lack of hospitality. The hostess returned after several minutes visibly irritated, dismissive, and rude, insisting there were no tables available because they were closing. Only after we politely insisted and spoke with another hostess were we finally seated. To make matters worse, we were initially placed at separate tables far apart from each other. We had to move the tables ourselves to be able to sit together as a family. Throughout the evening, there were multiple larger tables sitting empty—including one directly in front of us—and even after politely asking, the staff refused to move us for no apparent reason. The service only got worse. The restaurant had already run out of Bolognese sauce, the waiter was clearly overwhelmed, rushing from table to table, visibly sweating, and unable to provide the level of service you would expect from this brand. What struck me most was that this didn’t seem like one employee having a bad night. The cold, unfriendly attitude appeared to be shared by the entire front-of-house team, which usually reflects the local…

Ive eaten here before and at other locations and each visit nothing to say but outstanding all around.

Top notch service. Great tasting food. Not cheap but worth every penny. Portions are generous

Walked in and there were two hosts at the stand, they were giggling and talking. I stood there and finally one of them rudely greeted me. She had an attitude from the start. So much so that we decided to just leave and go somewhere else.

Maria was our server and she took care of us completely for our family meal. We're still enjoying the leftovers. We'll be back for another meal.

Lauren in catering was amazing! We called with a last minute order and she was extremely sweet and helpful and made it to where we can pick up the order right away!

Food was ok most of my party did not finish the meals due to such plentiful helpings which could be a good problem to have for some.

The restaurant offers excellent food, attentive service, and a pleasant atmosphere, all worthy of a 5-star rating. However, it is important to note that prices can be quite steep. Unlike some other locations, this establishment does not provide lunch specials; rather, they offer recommendations that mirror the dinner menu prices. During my last visit a few years ago, there was a $40 meal for two special, which has now increased to $70. Additionally, the popular $5 take-away pasta option has been removed from the menu. This significant price increase raises concerns about the overall value, particularly when you could enjoy a lunch special at the Capital Grill for a similar expense. Maggiano's is great for those special occasions but now for your weekly go to place. I assume the prices now reflect tourism and convention traffic. If that was ever to go away, this restaurant would have to adjust prices.

We were happy hour regulars for years. Guess what? No more happy hour menu. We used to enjoy sitting in the bar in the late afternoon having a glass of wine and ordering off the HH menu which had reduced portion appetizers. Now you must order off the menu where the only appetizers are “shareable,” meaning huge portions for double the price. We’re senior citizens and just don’t eat that much. And as far as prices go, a 9oz glass of Ecco Domani goes for $19!
