What diners say — our read

One subject runs through these 26 reviews more than any other: the staff. Front-of-house tends to be raised approvingly here, averaging 4.4 stars. Portion size is the next most common subject, in 23% of reviews (averaging 5.0).

The state of the room shows up in 15% of reviews as well, averaging 5.0. The split is 21 positive to 2 negative across 24 rated reviews, with 1 in the middle. The single most common rating left here is 5 stars (21 of 24).

Against that, the kitchen inspects well — an A (91/100), 2 intermediate and 3 basic violations at the most recent DBPR visit. The visit behind that grade was March 30, 2026. That puts it ahead of 46% of graded kitchens in Orange County. For specifics, the last inspection cited in-use food dispensing utensils properly stored and food-contact surfaces clean and sanitized.

With both signals pointing the same way, there is little to argue about on this listing. Full reviews follow below in the order they were left.

Love this place. Has great pools, service and walkway along the lake. Great location. They have taken a lot of their amenities away that used to be free which is sad but it's worth the loss. Love this place as a quick getaway.

Outstanding facility. Staff was outstanding. Friendly and efficient. They made you feel wanted. From check-in (Abigail and Angela were great) to maintenance to pool personnel. (Kevin and Joseline were awesome). Elvie and Andriana at Market were outstanding. Even met GM. Claudia, and Oscar, head of operations, who were both interested in our satisfaction. All friendly. Very impressive. Resort was a nice size with a market and small restaurant. Rooma were very well equipped, clean and well maintained. Location closer to Universal than Disney World but very convenient to both. Lazy river and floral arrangements were also fantastic.

This was the first time that I stayed at the Marriott Lakesure Reserve. It would be the last! There were beautiful flowers everywhere. The main lobby was tastefully decorated and Abigail at the main desk checked us in quickly and efficiently. She gave us lots of information which helped alot. Angela (our concierge) told us about the Harry Lew Gardens and the Morse Museum since we weren't interested in Disney or Universal. They were great! She also told us about other venues that we could visit.. Our one room deluxe was large, immaculate and had something that would appeal to young and older members. There was plenty of storage, the kitchen was well stocked with cookware, dishes, etc. and the bedroom was very comfortable. Kudos to the fifth floor housekeeping staff at Palermo. The lazy river was lots of fun and there was lots of seating.(Didnt have to fight for chairs). Every member of the staff that I encountered was friendly and very helpful. Elvi and Adrianna at the on-site market were very customer friendly. They couldn't do enough for us. Spencer and Kayla at the Blossoms cafe/bar were great and very attentive. We were able to use the nearby restaurants at the Ritz Carlton and at the JW Marriott which we did! Another great experience! Many thanks to Claudia S, Kevin ( Grounds), Frankel (Housekeeping), Brian (Security) and Joselina (Safety) for all that you do. If you are looking for a quiet, wonderful resort to get away from all the craziness of technology this is the…

Marriott Lakeshore provided a comfortable and relaxing stay with beautiful lake views, clean rooms, and friendly staff. The location was convenient, the amenities were well maintained, and the overall experience made for an enjoyable visit.

We absolutely loved visiting this resort. It’s great for families or couples but we came as an adult weekend trip and found it extremely peaceful. The hotel design itself is gorgeous, we genuinely thought we were in the wrong place at check in. The rooms were beautiful, onsite pool was large, restaurant was delicious with many options and reasonably priced. They do have saunas & steam rooms in the separate women’s and men’s locker rooms (not coed). There are lots of quiet places to sit outdoors or in doors & near the lake. We also were told you can access JW & Ritz amenities since they share properties. We did utilize the Ritz’s mountain bikes for no charge. Overall great property & we’re looking forward to coming back.

Friendly and professional service, the greatest amenities, Kelsey, Spencer, Kayla and Neekhan took care of us at Blossoms Bar. Weather has been perfect! Building is old, but maintenance Diego & Justin will fix you up! Concierge Brittany is a delight!

    Great

The pool and rooms are very nice. We stay in the time shares. The bar drinks are very good along with the food. However, management sucks here. Our roof started leaking one night and we were told that there was no maintenance team to come. We also used the both pull out beds and one of the sets for the bed was absolutely disgusting. It was missing a whole sheet and the blanket had dried snot or mucus on it. When we called for a replacement we were told that they have no more blankets. It took going down to the front desk for them to “find” a blanket. Other than management very nice place.

Worst customer service ever. Treated people like children. Did not take responsibility of their fault. As a Marriott member this is sad.

A slightly delayed review since this stay was from a family holiday trip earlier in the year and I have been busy traveling, but I still wanted to leave one because we had such a great stay.||We stayed at Marriott’s Lakeshore Reserve for a family vacation and had an excellent experience throughout. The service was warm and professional from the start, and the Bonvoy Ambassador recognition was very much appreciated.||Check-in was smooth and welcoming. The duty manager and room controller assigned us a room with a great view, and since it was my first time at the property, I also appreciated the overview of the resort and amenities.||The property itself felt very well managed. One of the best parts of the stay was how easy it was to meet up with relatives staying at the sister Marriott properties nearby. The pools were also a highlight, both at Lakeshore Reserve and with access to the JW Marriott. Everything felt well kept and easy to enjoy, whether for adults or children.||We stayed in a one-bedroom suite overlooking the resort and the JW Marriott tower, and the room was quiet, clean, comfortable, and in very good condition. No issues at all during the stay.||Honestly, I really cannot think of any negatives. The stay went very smoothly, and we had a wonderful time. I would gladly return.

1 BR was large. Grounds were well kept. Pool was clean and heated. Staff were courteous and well mannered. Breakfast was very good. Overall, met my expectations!

It is fabulous here. It is my favorite place to come and relax. Beautiful resort and staff Omar in pre-arrivak is exceptional. I have two more stays booked. Thank you all!

Beautiful place to visit with the family and grandkids.

Can't say enough about how great this resort is. From the location, the staff, the restaurants, the lazy river, the rooms, the beautiful landscaping and the beds! We can even see the fireworks from Disney on our balcony every night!

The activities team was so much fun! There is always stuff to do and the lazy river was so relaxing! Definitely top 3 prettiest hotels I’ve ever been to!

    Amazing pool.

  • February 23, 2026

Pros: Kind and professional employees, fun pool area for adults and kids, amenities such as a fitness center, marketplace, and daily activities throughout the day Con: Housekeeping service is not routinely provided and MVC owners must pay an additional fee (in my case, $60) for a “tidying” of the room. I scheduled housekeeping service for a specific day and time but when I returned to the room several hours later on that day I saw the room hadn’t been touched. I scheduled the “tidying” service the day before I wanted it done and, in fact, spoke with the front desk the morning of to confirm the “cleaning” would take place at the time I requested - and they confirmed it would - but was disappointed to see later that day when I returned to the room that it wasn’t done. I spoke with the housekeeper assigned to my floor and she said she was not made aware our room needed to be cleaned. So obviously there was a miscommunication somewhere, or simply a neglect with the assigned task. I was quite disappointed and the cleaning was then scheduled for the following day.

Great small quiet resort. Staff is great. No cleaning service is a downside and also they don’t prioritize owners over the public. Owners should have priority on availability of rooms and they don’t care

Two waterslides and large playground for the kids. Very nice Lazy River/Pool area with beautifully landscaped grounds. Restaurant with large patio has tasty, reasonably priced food. Ping-pong table, pool table & cornhole. Roomy units include townhouses. Great golf course.

Near perfection, feels like paradise and everything's beautiful and works just fine. We had an awesome time. Only bummer is that only towards the end of our stay did i discover that the gym has a full locker room that nobody uses with a steam room and sauna. Incredible. They should apply a tolerance to using the jacuzzi later than 11pm if people are quiet like other Marriott properties do.

It's hard to complain about a MVC. The rooms were amazing, the pool, lazy river, walking path, and beautiful palms were inviting and relaxing, helping us to maximize our vaca effect. It was a bit disheartening to see signs that it would be appreciated if we would take the sheets off the bed and throw all towels in the tub. While we're defintely 'for' not having daily cleaning - more environmental not getting a new towel each day, we felt that this request gave the MVC a bit of a 'European Hostel' feel ... definitely not ideal for the owners. We've tried to get into this property for years and are very happy that we finally were able to enjoy the time here.

Beautiful lazy river, grounds, and furnished villas. It is so quiet here, you feel like there are few here. Very nice live music in the restaurant/bar near the pool and recreation area. Location is an easy drive of 15 to 20 min from parks.

Very lush beautiful property. Would stay here again
