MRS POTATO RESTAURANT

MRS POTATO RESTAURANT is a 4.7-star room with a D-grade kitchen — the kind of gap a star rating will never warn you about, which is the whole reason this page exists.

That D comes from 1 high-priority and 3 basic violations cited on June 17, 2026. It currently ranks safer than 6% of Orange County restaurants we grade — close to the bottom of the county. And the direction isn't reassuring: its recent inspections have been sliding, not recovering. If you want the flavor with fewer question marks, the safer-options list below maps higher-graded kitchens within a short drive.

What diners say — our read

The crowd and the kitchen disagree here, and the gap is wide. Reviewers who mention how guests are treated rate this place 4.8 on average — it is working in the restaurant’s favour.

Conspicuously absent: cleanliness, which no reviewer brings up. 5 stars is the modal score, given by 22 of the 23 reviewers who rated. Of the 23 rated reviews, 22 sit at four stars or better and 0 at two or below.

The inspection record is the harder read. DBPR graded this kitchen a D (64/100) on 1 high-priority and 3 basic violations — a verdict the review average does not reflect. That inspection was on June 17, 2026. Its inspection trajectory is downward over the records we hold. Ranked against Orange County, it is safer than 6% of the restaurants we score. Among the items recorded were plumbing installed & maintained and floors, walls, ceilings clean & maintained.

Taken together, this is a place diners like and inspectors do not. A good meal and a clean kitchen are different questions. Read the originals below and judge the pattern yourself.

5 stars for sure!! The quaint little Brazilian restaurant hit all the buttons. Great authentic food, amazing service, local dive spot and was featured on Guy Fiery's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. While it was in the Universal area, it sits back away from the tourist hustle. Will be something we will look up again if we ever come back to Orlando and the kind of place I look for when traveling.

Food and staff were phenomenal. It was my first time stopping and they were very accommodating and helpful. I just wish I lived closer to enjoy it more.

Delicious food! Great service by Caique! !

This is a small Miss-potato decorated restaurant in a Publix strip-mall. It has Brazilian centric dishes (think potatoes) with the Rosti being the centerpiece dish. The "loaded" is basically all the toppings of a baked potato, i.e bacon, cheese, green onion, amd sour cream packed between two layers of hashbrowns and fried golden brown. All I can say is that they are delicious and very filling. There are several other variations with different fillings on the menu as well. We make an effort to come here at least once every time we are in Orlando. The Loaded fries are also quite tasty. All the dishes and flavors are mild and will be acceptable to a wide spectrum of pallets.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing Brazilian food, great atmosphere, and outstanding service from start to finish. Every dish was flavorful and cooked perfectly. The flan was hands down the best I’ve ever had in my life—rich, creamy, and unforgettable. I highly recommend this place and can’t wait to come back! 🇧🇷✨

Sensational gnochhi pasta, I was blown away by the pillowy soft dish, truffle sauce, delicious. I would absolutely recommend this place and will be coming back soon! Oh and the Caipirinha was also wonderful! Thanks to our server Caique for the great service and being fine with my dog hanging here too! Thank you!

    The rosti is delicious!

  • June 9, 2026

Service was great! Food? The hash browns were good. Inside? I’m afraid if we didn’t add the cream cheese to our chicken bacon ranch hash brown, it would’ve been dry. The three little sample meats were dry. The carne seca flavor was off. The sausage? Better but very salty. The loaded fries were good. All in all, a one time visit.

    Good potato !

Definitely a great experience. Went specifically for the Filet Mignon Stroganoff. Was bummed it wasn't on their physical menu but when I asked the waitress, she was excited to tell me they offered it and shared her favorite way to eat it- in a baked potato! At first I was skeptical, but it was absolutely delicious!! We started with the Dadinho de Tapioca (Deepfried Tapioca Cheese Squares) which was an interesting but also intriguing texture. It was good and made me want more along with the chili sauce they provided with. My husband asked for another house favorite and they recommended the Carne Seca Rosti which they cooked perfectly. The outer hash brown layer was crispy, and the beef on the inside was tender and not dry in the slightest. Reasonably priced as well. Out the door under $100 with two fantastic margaritas to boot. As a frequent traveler, this is one of my favorites in Orlando.

Fantastic, will be returning. The service was excellent, the food was delicious. Thematically decorated with potato head figures, awards and accolades.

  • June 3, 2026

Outstanding every time I go. The burger, soup and potato’s are amazing. My girlfriend and I are becoming a regular at this point. Thank you!!!
