Community Rating
Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
Diners raise cleanliness often enough to notice — and on this one the state inspector agrees with them. Opinion on front-of-house is split — those reviews land at 3.5 on average. Cleanliness is the next most common subject, in 28% of reviews (averaging 3.4).
The single most common rating left here is 5 stars (9 of 18). Of the 18 rated reviews, 9 sit at four stars or better and 5 at two or below. Value for money shows up in 22% of reviews as well, averaging 3.3.
The inspection record is the harder read. DBPR graded this kitchen a D (69/100) on 3 high-priority, 1 intermediate, and 4 basic violations — a verdict the review average does not reflect. The visit behind that grade was June 23, 2026. On health score it sits safer than 8% of the Orange County restaurants we grade. For specifics, the last inspection cited handwash sinks accessible.
When the crowd and the inspection agree this closely, the signal is worth taking at face value. The reviews themselves follow, unedited and newest first.

It's extremely hot in here today my rice is gummy chicken threw together and it seems I have some other gravy than I requested on my food some strange particles of meat when I asked to have oxtail gravy I don't like to complain but geesh I don't play about my food

Idk how they have 4.2 stars. The food is good but its not worth the terrible customer service, the people here is SO rude. Im only giving them 2 stars so that this has a lesser chance of getting taken down.

My family and I love the amount of food, the price and the taste.

Everything was good until I found Hair in my food and I ordered a brown stew Chicken with rice and peas. I live all the way out in Altamonte. It’s not like I can turn around and get my money back so what a waste. Cover your hair!!
-
The oxtail was amazing and flavorful. The sauce and rice blended wonderfully. The Mac and cheese was perfect, crunchy outside, cheesy inside. I loved the culture and aroma of the place. Welcoming and friendly people. Overall amazing spot.
-
Rice and peas needed flavour not much peas in rice. Fried chicken was salty. Atmosphere appeared clean. Lunch special and quantity of food- fair price.
-
Drove from PSL food was great as always, flavorful with no skimping on the amount of food they give you, it stays busy but the staff is always polite and friendly ❤️ the food... Will definitely come again.
-
Food choice, very limited after 8pm, , very small portions for the Price, food items appeared dried out, staff appeared tired, little girl sweeping floor allowing for dust particles to fly around landing on food and patrons.

Lovely, lively, filled with live your of place. Make you feel at home no matter who you are. Staff keeps a smile on there face. No 🎓 personally my opinion which counts to me. Out of all the Jamaican restaurants that I have eaten at they have the best oxtail in rice I've eaten in all of Florida this far I've been here for 9 years. Definitely the best in Orlando. Thank you neighbor for the love, food, and community support you guys show. 100% rotten 🍅.🔥🔥❤️❤️🙏

Service is extremely slow.

This is my fourth time visiting two of which I was able to take advantage of the lunch special. I ordered three jerk chicken specials one with cabbage and two with salad and one brown stew special with cabbage. It was delicious! Staff was busy but still friendly. The bathroom was clean as well. Would definitely return.

This is the worst place with good food to come on your lunch break. They’ll walk around like you’re not even standing in line or that they don’t have six or seven other people that’s on their lunch break never come here for lunch break.
