Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
Worth separating two things on this listing: how the food is received, and how the kitchen inspects. Opinion on the staff is split — those reviews land at 3.2 on average. How long an order takes is the next most common subject, in 30% of reviews (averaging 2.5).
A third strand, whether food comes out hot, appears in 25% of them at 4.2 stars. 9 of 20 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 10 are two or lower. More reviewers landed on 5 stars than any other score — 8 of 20.
That matters because 10% of reviews raise cleanliness and rate it 3.0 on average — a complaint the inspection record does not support, since DBPR graded the kitchen an A (99/100). That result dates from May 21, 2026. On health score it sits safer than 87% of the Orange County restaurants we grade. What the inspector actually wrote up: garbage and refuse.
If plate size is what you care about, the reviews are the better guide here; if it is the kitchen, the grade is. Full reviews follow below in the order they were left.

We like Panda Express and have visited many locations across the country. This particular location however consistently provides a bad experience. They are constantly out of dishes. And the service is slow and apathetic. On our most recent visit, the restaurant was not busy and the staff was just standing around. And yet half of the trays were empty. When we asked how long it would take to cook up the black pepper chicken, the waiter responded with a very curt 10 minutes! Won’t be coming back again.

The fact that, even though they are clearly short staffed, short w food items and having all of the ppl waiting for their food. I have to say, the staff continues to show a positive face. Even through the chaos. And I think that’s just beautiful. I’m waiting for my food and was observing it all. All these ppl need a raise. The food was delicious btw. Thanks

Bowl ordered had a bug in it. I would post a Picture if allowed

Sirven opciones de comida asiáticas, la mayoría con sabores picantes.

12:00 Nothing is ready

Consistent and great freshly cooked food. Busy days popular items will run low, so you may have to wait 5-10 minutes for a fresh batch to come out.
-
Grilled teriyaki chicken was fatty, mostly inedible. Didn't even have chow mein ready (its probably thermostat popular item). Took 15 mins to get beef and broccoli cooked.

La comida de Panda Narcoossee es deliciosa. Sin embargo, la empatía de las personas que atienden no es la mejor; responden de mala forma o lo mandan a uno a leer los letreritos y no preguntar.

Usually we love going to panda. But lately the service and food has gone downhill. Small portions (under serving food) and their front employees have lots of attitude. They missed giving us items on top of that.

Omg What bad service from the manager and from the girl serving, Yuliana. If you’re not watching, they take advantage and barely serve anything, and they quickly close the container. I find it to be in very poor taste. Everyone who was there complained about how little they were serving. I will not be coming back to this location.

This is not the first time I’ve come to this Panda Express location, but it will definitely be my last. The place was packed, and people were waiting everywhere, yet the staff seemed more focused on fulfilling online orders than taking care of the customers who were already standing there in person. The front counter had to keep waiting because there was barely any food ready, which forced customers like me to stand around for almost 20 minutes just to be served. What really bothered me the most was the lack of hygiene. I watched cooks using their bare hands after touching their hair, nose, and face, then grabbing food and throwing it onto the pans without washing their hands or wearing gloves. That was honestly disgusting and completely unacceptable. On top of that, the food quality was terrible. The shrimp didn’t seem fully cooked, the noodles were cold and tasted old, and overall the food looked and felt like it had been sitting there way too long. I couldn’t even enjoy my meal. This isn’t the first bad experience I’ve had at this location, but it will definitely be the last. The long wait, poor food quality, and lack of basic cleanliness standards made this visit extremely disappointing. Never again.

If was very cheap considering today's prices and for a good amount and variety. Wok cooked food is definitely quality.

We truly enjoy your food and we really want to visit the Lake Nona location since it is close to our home, especially to experience the flavors we like. However, each time we come, the customer service experience makes us decide not to return. Unfortunately, this has happened multiple times, and we have noticed that the same staff members have been working there for a long time. We believe the food quality is excellent, but the customer experience does not match it. It would make a big difference if your team received more training in customer satisfaction and simple things like greeting customers with a smile. We hope this feedback can help improve the experience, because we would truly like to continue coming back.

The place is always clean, the food is fresh, and the service is very pleasant, always with a smile. Lissa truly deserves a 10 for her service. El lugar siempre está limpio, la comida es fresca y el servicio es muy agradable, siempre con una sonrisa. Lissa se merece un diez por su excelente atención.

Josh was in such a hurry that came out as rude. The restaurant was empty. He is the manager in lake Nona restaurant. I never had a situation like this at this restaurant before. Im desappointed that they chose someone rude like that to be the manager.

Great service there, employees work so hard there. They do their best to accommodate you.
