Community Rating
Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
The direction of travel is downward across these 20 reviews. Opinion on front-of-house is split — those reviews land at 2.9 on average. Wait times is the next most common subject, in 35% of reviews (averaging 2.7).
No one in this corpus comments on how much food arrives at all. The single most common rating left here is 5 stars (11 of 20). Of the 20 rated reviews, 12 sit at four stars or better and 8 at two or below.
The health record runs ahead of the reviews. The last DBPR inspection returned an A (97/100) with 3 basic violations. The visit behind that grade was February 19, 2026. The trend across inspections is decline. On health score it sits safer than 72% of the Orange County restaurants we grade. For specifics, the last inspection cited clean clothes and food-contact surfaces clean and sanitized.
Worth separating: the complaints above cluster on wait times, not on the kitchen, which inspected well. The underlying reviews are reproduced in full underneath.

genuinely just don’t waste your time. I, and everyone else in the store waited maybe over 15 minutes just to be helped. the old white woman at the front was rude and not at all helpful. Not only did she ask what i was waiting for at least 6 times, but she then yelled and told me she couldn’t hear me. She was also telling other customers they need to calm down and looked visibly upset when someone asked about their order one time. As someone who also works in food service, I understand the frustration and stress that comes with it but in no circumstance is it okay to take it out on the customers and be rude to everyone around.

Been to this location 3 times...every time I question why I come back. The staff does not greet you, there is no sense of urgency. Our order was forgotten, twice. The store was not even full and we were not acknowledged at all. Overall horrible experience. And not to mention the front desk worker appeared to be under the influence of something....

First time I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but every time I’ve come here it’s extremely slow and the staff are unhelpful. They yap more than they work. Out of all the restaurants I’ve been to in the area they are by far the worst.

Why is it so hard for this place to get your food right. Doesn't seem like a hard job. You read what it says on the screen and you put it in the bag. Yet 60% of the times they get it wrong. This time it was my coleslaw but it's always something. My visits here have become less frequent because of this. Even though I really like the chicken. Another thing is that they never have enough spicy chicken and make you go park your car and wait for it (Fast food? Nope) If you know your spicy chicken is a big seller, then make more of it and be ready the lunch rush. 🤷

Service was great! Food is made fresh the manager TK is awesome and runs a tight ship! Gabe did a great job explaining the menu and what we needed his customer service was great! Thank you Popeyes

I visited Popeyes and ordered food, but it was given to me without ketchup or tissues. When I asked for ketchup, the employee wearing a headset named Takeyla was continuously talking loudly to her coworkers. While handing me the ketchup, she said "please" in a way that felt rude and seemed to imply that I should have asked differently. I told her that basic items like ketchup and tissues should have been included with the order. What upset me most was her attitude and the way she treated customers. I felt very frustrated by the interaction and questioned the quality of customer service being provided. In addition, while she was speaking loudly and carrying food to customers, it appeared that saliva could have been spraying while she talked, which I found unprofessional and concerning. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience due to both the service and the employee's attitude.

Crew members were excellent this evening. The inside of the building was hot. They still managed to provide great food and service.

The food is good and staff are friendly however they are slow. I hear one staff to to other "Mobile orders can wait, do the standby orders first". Then another staff member said don't take anymore orders till we catch-up. All this in front other customers.

I waited 15-25

I was JUST at the one on 12001 East Colonial - got a 10 piece box with 2 sides and biscuits and a 2 piece dark spicy - bill was $17.46 I was given my food and I asked if the receipt was in the bag - the lady said yes..... I drive home and my 2 piece order is fine but my 10 piece box had 5 tenders in it.... so basically I just paid almost 20 bucks for 7 pieces of chicken!!! I called and tell them - thinking they could look at their receipts and see what I ordered verses what I was telling them I got - well first off the lady said "we don't have a 10 piece box (HUH) then she said if that was what I got them yes.... it would be $17.46 so now I'm confused, she just called me a liar and said the 10 piece box was NOT on sales??? Obviously, their either DON"T care and or they can't count! Thanks for screwing me and not giving me a DAMN receipt!!! Update - I returned to May 18 to give it another shot. I ordered boneless chicken wings and they told me that I would have to pull up that it was gonna take five minutes 15 minutes later still don’t have my food. I called them. They go oh yeah the guy forgot to tell us that the chicken was ready. OK 15 minutes worth of sitting there running in my car. I figure you guys should’ve gave me a free meal. I love you chicken but I hate the people that work there cause they don’t know what they’re doing and they don’t give a shit.

The lower the rating the better the Popeyes is my motto! And it always succeeds

There’s an older, larger, white woman that works at this location and is just straight up rude. You’re going to tell me to go to the other side of the counter for online orders and then yell when I grabbed the bag that’s already on the counter that’s the one I’m picking up? She called me sir and I corrected her just for her to then go to the back and talk with other employees saying “he’s mad I said sir” but going to tell me that you also get called sir all the time. She needs to find a profession that doesn’t require customer interaction. And this isn’t the first time I’ve been to this location and heard her yelling at people. Just God awful.
