Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
Complaints here are real, but they are mostly not about the kitchen. Service cuts both ways here, averaging 3.4 among the reviews that raise it. Pacing is the next most common subject, in 42% of reviews (averaging 2.5).
Freshness shows up in 15% of reviews as well, averaging 2.3. If you had to pick one number to represent this corpus it would be 5, the most frequently given rating (11 reviews). Newer reviews score better than older ones (3.1 recent against 2.6 earlier), so direction is worth weighing alongside the average.
Against that, the kitchen inspects well — an A (91/100), 2 intermediate and 3 basic violations at the most recent DBPR visit. DBPR last walked in on February 9, 2026. The trend across inspections is decline. Ranked against Orange County, it is safer than 46% of the restaurants we score. The citations behind that grade include cross-contamination and food-contact surfaces clean and sanitized.
The weak part of this listing is the experience, not the sanitation — those are different failures. Read the originals below and judge the pattern yourself.

Had a wonderful time here for dinner. Chips and salsa appetizer was great and the Avocado margarita was just phenomenal. Try it out before you go on the Three Caballeros ride.
-
HORRIBLE PLACE. Automatic 20% tip without ever telling you, added onto check. Very bad and slow service. Dont go here

Marco was a fantastic server. We sat down in a section that was empty, by the end of our dinner he had 5 tables and his service never faulted. He definitely deserves recognition and is manager material.
-
Worst service ever at a disney restaurant. Ordered drinks, appetizer and entrees. Kept a menu to order another drink. Over half finished with entrees had to go ask for more water. Wasn't asked about another beverage, until we were done. Service at disney is usually outstanding, but today's meal was not.

Incorrect orders, missing orders, had to go find silverware for those who's food did come out. Definitely go someplace else.

Great food. Our server Mauricio was awesome. Very attentive.
-
Nice looking restaurant but terrible service. Was not served until 5:40 despite a 5 pm reservation that we were early for. Did not eat until 6:20, cutting significantly into park time. One of our table members was served fried food after requesting grilled and waiting 40 minutes for food. Food is overpriced. A discount was then offered and not given on the final receipts. You are better off eating anywhere else.

Spacing in the restaurant is a little tight, so it was a bit difficult to navigate a wheelchair in. The staff was patient though, and made it work for us. They were kind and great to talk to. The food was unbelievably fresh, the elote appetizer stole the show. You can’t go wrong with anything you order though. Guacamole was also great, as well as the tacos. I left the restaurant already thinking “I can’t wait to come back!” Some people were waiting for a table near the water, but the atmosphere is nice anywhere in the restaurant.

Overall this place was pretty good. Not the best thing ever but better than outside. The wait staff was attentive, but failed to recognize a birthday until we were already leaving. We were sat right next to the kitchen so it was pretty loud. The food came out fast and was very good.

We dined at San Angel during our Epcot visit on May 21st. Danny was an amazing server, so polite and charismatic. The manager, didn’t get his name possibly Julio, was amazing!!! He not only gave our grandson corn because it was his favorite but he also noticed the birthday button on his backpack. He came back with stickers, a birthday card AND ice cream with a candle. He and Danny sang happy birthday! I would 2000 percent recommend this restaurant. This is what “Be our Guest” is all about! Julio should teach a course!

I mostly want to compliment the wait staff. The service here was outstanding. They were so kind, so helpful. They truly went above and beyond. The food was good. The venue was gorgeous and truly exceptional, but what really made the meal was the overall sense of kindness

Ricky was great

By far the best experience that me and my wife had between all 4 parks / resorts at our stay at Disney world, our server Wendy was amazing. Made sure we were taken care of and felt welcomed the entire time we were there. It was our last stop before we went home and we had a great time and it was a great way to end our trip
-
A nice restaurant, definitely overpriced which is expected, but a nice experience! I know some seats suck depending on where you’re sat, but the seats next to the ride are wonderful. Our service was wonderful and they celebrated a birthday well. The food could have been better, but we were happy.
-
Very unaccommodating. Made me wake my sleeping child to seat us, instead of letting us bring in her stroller. Wouldn't even push back our reservation to accommodate us, told us we'd have to come back and wait in the walk up line. (When they had posted that they weren't even accepting walk ups). Won't be coming back here again.

We got the chips and cheese dip for the appetizer, it was good. I got the Tacos, the tacos were good and my daughter got the chicken strips and she said she liked it. But the service wasn't good. We had to wait close to 15 min for just a drink refill.

We were really excited to dine at San Angel Inn during our family trip to Epcot, but unfortunately, this ended up being one of the most disappointing dining experiences we’ve had at Disney. From the beginning, the service was very poor. We waited about 20 minutes before our server even came to our table. When he finally did, his attitude made us feel like we were an inconvenience rather than welcomed guests. As a party of eight—celebrating time together as a family—and with my dad spending a significant amount on this dinner, we expected a much higher level of service. The experience only went downhill from there. Our food came out cold and was honestly not good at all, which was surprising given Disney’s usual standards. We chose not to complain at the time, hoping things might improve, but our server never returned to check on us. We had planned to order additional drinks, but never even had the chance because we couldn’t find him. Eventually, we paid our check and left feeling frustrated and disappointed. Our family loves Disney and has been visiting every other year for several years, which made this experience even more upsetting. Unfortunately, based on this visit, we will not be returning to San Angel Inn.

The only good thing about this restaurant was the service. We had the shrimp and steak tacos, chips with queso and salsa, 2 drinks and a diet coke. Everything was bland and the drinks were watered down. For 18.50 a drink, they should be fresh and the correct pours done. The shrimp tacos were tiny and tasteless with tiny bite sized tortillas to go with them. Husband said the steak was under seasoned. Even the plantains that came with the tacos were under seasoned. The queso was tasteless as well. The salsa was ok. For 140 dollars, I expected better. The only saving grace was the wait time. There hardly was any and now we know why. Won't return.
-
Absolutely the worst disney dining experience of my life. Even the water tasted like it was from the ride itself. The margarita flight was barely drinkable. I have had a better steak for breakfast at a waffle house. Disney should close this place asap. Do yourself a favor and avoid at all costs. $54 for a steak and enchiladas that were hard a a rock. DO BETTER DISNEY!

I’m rating the atmosphere one star because we were sat behind a huge cement wall that blocked all views of anything besides the bathroom. It’s the place they seat people who don’t have a reservation. (We waited 30 minutes on the waitlist) They told us that when I asked if I could move to one of the 20 open tables with a view of the cenote. I then asked if I could just move to the table next to ours (still in the no-reservation shame corner) and she said no because that was a table for six and there were only three of us. By the time we finished our horrible food (more on that below), all of the empty 20 tables with a view, plus the one next to ours, were still empty. As far as the food goes - just don’t. Ribeye tacos were served cold, in one solid lump of cold cheese, in a “skillet”. Husband got the fish tacos and immediately sent them back. Cold, overcooked fish sticks in a corn tortilla. Daughter got the chicken enchilada which came out hot and she said they were “fine”. Do not recommend at all.

I’ve lived in Orlando a very long time and have been to Epcot dozens of times. Yet I have never made a reservation for a restaurant. That was a mistake. San Angel Inn is peak Mexican cuisine. The service was second to none. We had the ribeye tacos and the slow roasted pork. Everything was delicious. I would definitely recommend this place if you are planning a visit to Epcot. Definitely make a reservation.

The food was awesome! The drinks were very good and strong! The ambiance is really cool!

The food and drinks were not worth it. The kids meals were just meet on a soft shell with white rice. No sauce, no lettuce, no additions. My fish tacos the fish was way over cooked. And i ordered a traditional margarita which was way too sweet and undrinkable. So I ordered a Paloma thinking that couldn’t be bad and it was equally as awful. And I understand that it’s Disney but not even an option to order chips and salad as a starter was crazy. This was not worth the money, I think we would’ve enjoyed and gotten more for our money by just visiting stands in the pavilion.
