Community Rating
Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
Sorted by date, these 23 reviews trend upward. Reviews mentioning service average 3.9 stars, so it divides opinion rather than settling it.
If you had to pick one number to represent this corpus it would be 5, the most frequently given rating (18 reviews). One subject never comes up here: how long an order takes. Of the 23 rated reviews, 18 sit at four stars or better and 3 at two or below.
Against that, the kitchen inspects well — an A (92/100), 1 intermediate and 5 basic violations at the most recent DBPR visit. DBPR last walked in on March 17, 2026. Across its inspection history the kitchen is improving, which argues for giving it the benefit of the doubt. Ranked against Orange County, it is safer than 49% of the restaurants we score. The citations behind that grade include potentially hazardous foods properly thawed and in-use food dispensing utensils properly stored.
Both measures agree, which is the least complicated version of this page. Read the originals below and judge the pattern yourself.

Fatima excelente atención

I cannot say enough about my visit to Taste of Peru. From the moment I arrived, Fatima’s hospitality was truly extraordinary. She went above and beyond, constantly checking in with a thoughtful, genuine smile, making sure every detail was perfect. The food was absolutely delicious, but it was Fatima’s exceptional care and attention that made the evening unforgettable. I will be returning again and again, thanks to her outstanding service. Thank you Fatima!

The Huacaina sauce is like Cheese Whiz… thick and frothy - I hate it. I can’t take it anymore. Since I moved here 5 months ago, I’ve been here like 10 times for the green spaghetti but I am just over the Papa ala Huacaina. In NJ, they had this delicious Huacaina sauce that is not watery, but not cheese whiz froth. Also, I think I might remember 1 or 2 of the ladies being pleasant but what’s more memorable are the rude and miserable ones that look through you or not even at you. lol. They’re not Peruvian.

The lunch menu was just right for a midday meal that would not break the bank. We splurged on una jarra de chicha morada as our beverage. The Papas a la Huancaina were very fresh and my Aji de Gallina had all the flavor - I could have used a LITTLE more bite to the pepper. The Torta de Chocolate made my wife remember the pastelerias of Peru. The Helado de Lucuma Frito was also delicious

The waitress did her job well, I went at lunchtime special and the food dishes looked for children, I ordered a fried chicken rice and it had a very strange flavor, so I could change it and the owner did not want it, it was a very bad attention on his part, I put it to take because they did not give me credit for the order, I do not recommend it to anyone.. very bad food!

La comida es excelente pero te obligan con la propina que ellos quieren … y te dicen que está en el menú con una letra ínfima cuando van más de 5 personas … las que atienden no son muy amables cómo para que valga la pena la propina … pero la comida es buena

Food was c very Good if not at it's best. Some great flavos and trying new things did not disappoint.

The food was too expensive. My total was $59.05 and the cashier said she didn't have change. That was her tip then. Papa a la guancaina was exactly 1 small potato in their sauce. Lomo saltado was barely a one person portion. Ceviche mixto was a very small portion. And there are my $60.00. BTW, it was take out, so no drinks at all, not even water. I won't go back at all.

Todo muy ricoo. Buen servicio. Ambiente bueno y todo limpio. Recomiendo mucho. Carolina fue muy buena mesera. Los cocktails muy ricoo.

Nice small restaurant with good food, we stop there on our way back to the hotel, it’s very close to Gatorland, food is really good, prices are ok, we ordered seafood mixed Jalea (deep fried seafood) causa de pescado 🐟 and churrasco a lo pobre (grilled steak with fries) and LUCUMA fried ice cream, next time in Orlando we will definitely stop by again.
