Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
Reviews and inspection point the same way here. Where how guests are treated comes up, the rating that follows averages 4.9, so it reads as a strength. Speed of service is the next most common subject, in 21% of reviews (averaging 4.8).
5 stars is the modal score, given by 15 of the 19 reviewers who rated. The split is 17 positive to 2 negative across 19 rated reviews. Behind those, cleanliness is raised in 16% of reviews (4.7 average).
On the inspection side the picture is cleaner: DBPR graded this kitchen an A (93/100), with 2 intermediate and 1 basic violations. Whatever the reviews argue about, sanitation is not the weak point. That inspection was on January 6, 2026. On health score it sits safer than 53% of the Orange County restaurants we grade. Among the items recorded were dishwashing facilities and handwash sinks accessible.
Both measures agree, which is the least complicated version of this page. The individual reviews are below, newest first, if you want the raw material.

This is the last time I’m ordering from here. The owner is ripping off customers by sending takeout with NO CHICKEN in the flautas. Literally. Insane to me. To not include protein the customer paid extra for is stealing in this economy. You want me to feed myself on $35 worth of empty fried tortillas?! The sizes have sucked since Covid and the food quality has gone way down hill. The only reason I ordered was out of nostalgia from growing up in Winter Park. Completely worthless now. Scammers!!!

Been going to this location for years and the service has always been so great and the food delicious. My only gripe is that the prices keep creeping up but it’s the way of the world we live in!

Excellent service and food is always super fresh .

Lake Nona location never disappoints!

Mike & the team took amazing care of me. I was running late from picking up my wife from the airport and had already placed an order. One call and they put the food on hold until she was picked up to resume cooking it. That kind of customer service is top tier. As a matter of fact there have been many staff members over the years that have always been good to us Marco, Marah, etc. Great staff always! Which is why I eat there almost weekly!

Food is great mayu helped us with everything

I just commented to my kids that Tijuana Flats has the best employees - they smile, make conversation, laugh at my dumb jokes, are happy to help and all around pleasant- such a contrast to almost any other fast food experience where the employees are all expressionless robots that barely respond when you speak to them with more than a grunt and heaven forbid they smile. So whatever TJ is doing, keep up the good work!

World class team and food. Overheard a guest recovery and the cashier tonight did an amazing job! Well done Lake Nona!!

I used to love this place, especially the one on Narcoose in Central Florida near the airport. Went there yesterday and the food was eh. Vegan burrito was beans and lettuce for $10. We asked for salt and pepper and were told they had no salt/pepper in the entire establishment...that explains why we were asking for salt!!!! 😂 To help with the lack of flavor I asked for a small plastic thing of salsa ... And was charged $2!!! I have never been charged for salsa in a Mexican restaurant. Hasta luego, Tijuana Flats. Never again. Moe's or Chipolte blows it away.

Siempre es un gusto visitar Tijuana Flats. La comida es fresca, llena de sabor y con ese toque Tex-Mex que encanta. Los tacos y burritos son increíbles, y la barra de salsas es un plus que hace la experiencia aún mejor

The manager Mike really took great care of me the food is always great as well as the service

I travel a lot, went here on the fly a couple months ago for some tacos and they didn’t disappoint. The best thing about this place is the sauces. They have like 20 different options to choose from.
-
Awesome as always! Love the choices of sauces. Carolina Reaper FTW!

Tijuana Flats on Narcoossee Road is always a win. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you want when you’re craving bold Tex-Mex done right. The tacos and burritos are packed, the ingredients taste high quality, and the hot sauce bar is still one of the best around. What really sets this location apart, though, is the service. The staff is friendly, efficient, and genuinely welcoming — you can tell they care about the experience, not just getting orders out. The restaurant is clean, well-run, and has a great vibe whether you’re dining in or grabbing takeout. If you’re in the area and want reliable, delicious food with great service, this Tijuana Flats delivers every time. Highly recommend!
