Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
There is no middle ground in these 20 reviews. The staff tends to be raised approvingly here, averaging 4.2 stars. What it costs is the next most common subject, in 20% of reviews (averaging 4.3).
15 of 20 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 4 are two or lower. A third strand, pacing, appears in 20% of them at 3.0 stars. More reviewers landed on 5 stars than any other score — 14 of 20.
On the health side, the most recent DBPR inspection returned a C (78/100) with 1 high-priority, 1 intermediate, and 11 basic violations — middling, much like the reviews. That result dates from January 22, 2026. Across its inspection history the kitchen is declining, which argues for reading the older reviews with caution. Ranked against Orange County, it is safer than 16% of the restaurants we score. What the inspector actually wrote up: food & equipment thermometers provided and accurate and cross-contamination.
Neither signal is decisive on its own here, which is why both are shown. The reviews themselves follow, unedited and newest first.

Favorite spot in town for happy hour

This is the BEST craft cocktail and sushi find on the quiet side of Central Ave. We stop in to the bar for apps and lychee martinis after a hard work week. Josh is the best bartender and is always helpful, jovial and a master of all things libation!🍸

I live upstairs, so this place is pretty convenient to eat at. But the service here sucks. First of all, nobody helps each other. As a customer, I have to wait a long time at the host stand for staff to seat me or give me my order. This has happened multiple times already, which is why I decided to write a review. All the staff just pass by without acknowledging customers, especially the bartenders, who don’t do anything and just chat with each other while purposely not looking at the front door lol. I understand that the host girl (she is very nice) might be busy doing a lot of things at once, but the carelessness of the others who work there is ridiculous. I can highlight two male servers who work there—they provide excellent customer service. Hopefully the management will explain workers how important a team work is.

The food was decent for the price. I will say they had the fishiest Tuna I’ve ever had. What bothered me for the experience was the answer to everything was no. No you can’t get a side of fried rice. No we only carry Japanese beer, yet they have bud light on draft. Among a couple of other knows. What was wildest thing was when we asked if we got the right roll, my plate was taken from the table and then brought back out to me. Number one rule of serving is you don’t take a plate from the table and then bring it back.

Such a cute little hidden gem. Food was great for the price, and Yani was so sweet to us. My new go to sushi spot!

We went to have dinner on Mother’s Day. We had a reservation, restaurant wasn’t busy when we arrived, the floor wasn’t clean under our table it has chopstick and napkin, Ladies room was not clean also. My husband asked the waiter for hot sauce he didn’t bring it to him and he didn’t even apologize that they don’t have if they don’t. Don’t recommend.

Amazing sushi restaurant. Love the vibe. Wait staff is attentive and friendly. Jessica is the best. Love the food, not enough vegetarian options but what they had was spot on.

Before eating here, take a close look at the sushi station, and the overall cleanliness was concerning. My food even had a fly in it. Also, thanks to Adi for being kind and sharing some insights about how certain food items are handled, which made me even more concerned. I recommend checking their sanitation and inspection reports before deciding to come.
