What diners say — our read

Not every diner trusts the room — though the last inspection found little to support that. Reviews mentioning front-of-house average 3.9 stars, so it divides opinion rather than settling it. After that, cleanliness appears most often — 24% of the corpus, averaging 3.0.

A third strand, how much food arrives, appears in 19% of them at 3.7 stars. The single most common rating left here is 5 stars (8 of 18). Of the 18 rated reviews, 11 sit at four stars or better and 6 at two or below.

The health record runs ahead of the reviews. The last DBPR inspection returned an A (98/100) with 2 basic violations. The visit behind that grade was October 29, 2025. That puts it ahead of 80% of graded kitchens in Orange County. For specifics, the last inspection cited cross-contamination and other conditions of sanitary & safe operation.

The honest summary is that the evidence is mixed on both sides. Full reviews follow below in the order they were left.

This was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had, and we will never stay here again! When we first checked in, we had to switch rooms because the TV in the bunk room didn’t work, the floor was soaked from a leaking A/C unit, the bathtub was dirty, and there was no conditioner provided- completely empty.. After moving to a second room the next day, we discovered that the master bedroom TV also didn’t work. I messaged the front desk requesting someone come fix it, but no one communicated when maintenance would arrive. We left for dinner with the Do Not Disturb sign clearly displayed on our door, yet someone entered our room anyway to repair the TV. Thankfully we weren’t in the room, but it’s unacceptable for staff to enter despite the sign and without notifying us… To make matters worse, we were double charged for parking even though I specifically prebooked our reservation with the parking package included because it’s cheaper. The manager claimed they “never got the notification,” which is also not my responsibility. I had to call to get the charge corrected. After sitting on hold for 15 minutes, I hung up and called back before someone finally fixed it. I then asked to speak with the manager. The employee informed me she was the manager, put me on hold for another 15 minutes, and never returned to the phone. At that point I gave up. The location was another disappointment. If you’re visiting Aquatica, expect terrible traffic unless you plan to walk. Don’t count on the…

    Just a great experience.

I stayed at Towneplace Suites by Marriott Orlando (Seaworld) for a conference. And I had a wonderful stay and wanted to recognize several team members who made a stressful situation much easier. When I arrived, there was an issue with a third-party booking company that had not properly provided my reservation information or proof that I had already paid. After an early flight, I was exhausted, frustrated, and overwhelmed trying to sort everything out. Sasha was incredibly calm, friendly, and helpful while assisting me over the phone. Her patience and professionalism immediately helped lower my stress level. Saila was also wonderful. She treated me with respect, clearly explained the steps she would take to help, and reassured me throughout the process. Thanks to their efforts, everything was resolved and worked out perfectly. I would also like to recognize Franklin, who was consistently kind, positive, and welcoming throughout my stay. He truly represented excellent hospitality and made every interaction pleasant. The housekeeping team was also fantastic. Everyone I encountered was friendly, my room was well cared for, and the property amenities were excellent. Thank you to the entire staff for turning a stressful arrival into a very positive experience. I truly appreciated the kindness, professionalism, and care shown throughout my stay. Thanks for the stay and experience Marriott family!

Great place to stay if you want the hotel to charge you for someone else's restaurant bill. The front desk won't do anything about it because they "have a receipt with the same room number" but refuse to provide the fraudulent receipt.

    All good

For the price, this place is great! All service staff were phenomenal, everything was clean, rooms are pretty big compared to other places and have a kitchen including cook tops. Even has laundry facilities, small gym and pool. I was here for a conference, but would totally come back with family to do the parks.

Si buscas una habitación con un sofá cama cómodo para un acompañante , este hotel no es el mejor. Vinimos a un viaje familiar y mis hijas durmieron en el sofá cama muy incómodas , los resortes del colchón se sienten, están muy viejos.

    Great place to stay

  • June 12, 2026

Rooms and location was great! The only issue I had with the service was after the room was cleaned there was still a good amount of hair left on the floor. Outside of that it was a great weeks stay!

We stayed at this hotel for one night. My husbands credit card got attached to a 'new' room under an entirely different name the day we checked out and they billed us for more than $1300. When we called they did not reverse the charge or apologize for being incompetent or misusing our credit card. This is entirely the hotel and it's employees fault. I suspect it's complete fraud that an employee has to be in on. How do you just attach another person in another room to our card?|Please protect yourself and stay somewhere else. While mistakes can happen anywhere most places are prompt to fix it when they realize their employees made a mistake.

Room was clean but dated. Location to SeaWorld was good. Very dated hotel. Broken glass in rear parking lot where we parked.

Great hotel, solid breakfast , good room service, large hotel room with a nice bathroom, kitchen, and bedroom. Has Netflix, beds are comfortable. Workers there are nice however a lady at the front desk made a mistake and I was charged twice for my stay , (not a incidental charge) I notified them and they fixed it as I checked out, also parking is pricey at 20 a night

Location was great. Atmosphere was quiet & relaxing. Family suite was spacious & clean. Although, the beds were hard. Staff were all friendly & helpful! The included breakfast was good with lots of options. The pool was nice, although it could have been cleaner. Would recommend & plan to stay again.

Disappointing stay. Merriott Website said the place was fully renovated recently. However, there were quite a few itmes that, if the website is correct, the supposed renovation work missed. Let me make a list: (1) water from the faucets had some oder, which may imply the renovation did not address the plumbing system, (2) there were a bit of sewage smell, which seemed to be coming from the wash basin's drain line, (3) the drawers of the dressers in both the bedroom (especially) and the living room were partially broken, (4) the horizontally partitioned curtains in both rooms don't fully overlap, despite numerous tries, letting in lights in the morning, and finally, (5) the room is dark once the sun sets because there are insufficient amount of lighting fixtures (and wattage of the bulbs) in the room. Also, if you are arriving before their official check-in time, don't expect to be given a room until after that official check-in time. Two attendents at different days emphasized repeatedly of the "official check-in time." Unlike all the other Merriott brand brands that I have experienced over the years, who have their own "official" check-in time, we had to wait 4+ hours until after their official check-in time despite many prior night's patrons were departing before the hotel's "official" check-out time. Many past incidences of such case, the maximum wait time had been about an hour! By the way, a bottle of water in the room was marked $ 12 each as you can see in the photo.…

Arrived at 6pm, room not ready. Asked how long they said 30 mins. After 30 mins still not ready. Have not offered to do anything. Asked if another room was available they said yes but not what we paid for, when I asked would it be the lower rate I was told no. Very frustrated

The location is great, within walking distance to Discovery Cove and Aquatica, and a very short drive to Sea World. Also has a number of shops and restaurants very near by.||However, even overlooking the in-room air-conditioning compressor (which seems to be present in most American hotel rooms) and associated noise, the walls are paper thin so you hear neighbours' conversations and TVs, including of they chose to watch late at night.||Beyond this, the breakfast is very hit & miss in its offerings and they are always running out of provisions that the single member of staff struggles to resolve in a single breakfast sitting. It was busy all the time, and we went for breakfast at a variety of times, with queues for the few waffle machines.||It had a pool, which is open until late, but it is very shallow and seemingly intended more as a play area for young children than as an offering for older families, and certainly not adults.||Plenty of parking but at a cost.||The family suite is a good size but could do with some doors on the kids room and a few more coat hooks to dry beach towels and damp clothing.||We would not go back.
