Community Rating
Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
Reviews here split hard: 10 five-star against 3 one-star, with little in between. Reviews mentioning service average 3.0 stars, so it divides opinion rather than settling it. Pacing follows at 20% of reviews, where ratings average 4.7.
One subject never comes up here: freshness. If you had to pick one number to represent this corpus it would be 5, the most frequently given rating (10 reviews). 12 of 15 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 3 are two or lower.
On the inspection side the picture is cleaner: DBPR graded this kitchen an A (90/100), with 2 intermediate and 4 basic violations. Whatever the reviews argue about, sanitation is not the weak point. DBPR last walked in on May 14, 2026. That puts it ahead of 42% of graded kitchens in Orange County. The citations behind that grade include dishwashing facilities and handwash sinks accessible.
Both measures agree, which is the least complicated version of this page. The individual reviews are below, newest first, if you want the raw material.

This bar has everything! Darts! Electricians drinking in the middle of thier shifts! A touchtunes! Women mansplaining sports! Worlds best beef jerky! A bathroom that forces you to be best friends with whoever is in there with you! Nice patio! And most importantly, best bunch of bartenders you have ever met!

I used to love going to Wally’s. However the last couple times I’ve gone, the older bartender with the black hair and acne scars was working. Her attitude was AWFUL to all the guests, and her service was just as bad. I work the night shift at a hospital, and I used to love stopping in for a few cocktails after work with my coworkers. It’s sad to say at this point, we are looking for other places to go.

Wallys is a great place to grab and drink and wait out the rain. Make sure you put your card on tab!

Dive bar with much history as told by our knowledgeable & amazing bartender Nathan! Thank you for recommending 100% agave tequila 👏🏼 Great selection of liquors and prices for cocktails you cannot beat. Big shoutout and huge hugs to Neimiah (spelling) their security guard 🤗

My favorite casual spot for drinks on mills

I had a few hours to kill before checking in to my hotel on Sunday 4/26 and stopped in at Wally’s. Wow! What a great dive bar. Friendly regulars and Danielle the bartender was fantastic. The patios are also fantastic. I love Wally’s!

Accidentally dropped my wallet inside, checked my pockets as I was leaving the door with all my friends. Went to go back in but the bouncer said no ID no entry, as he saw me leave 2 seconds ago. Had my friend go back in to ask our bartender if he saw my wallet. Replied, "Why would someone return a lost wallet to me?". Eventually my friend found it in the spot we were hanging out at. Great to start to the night...

Best Mexican in town.

Decent bar with decent prices for drinks. Nice look inside but can get cramped very quickly. I do like the fact there are two bars. For some reason they had to check ID twice (once at door and once at bar).

Great people watching

I came in on 11/30/25. They check my id at the entrance! The girl at the bar tonight with the blond hair ignored us when we were trying to order drinks! Then proceeded to ask us for id again and be rude about it! I just feel like she’s racist! If you are asking people for there ids at the entrance why do I gotta show it at the bar again?

I love the updated Wally's. Fun atmosphere. Nice bartenders. Strong drinks

First time here, the atmosphere is perfect to have a drink, relax, and socialize. Several cocktail tables, two bars, five TVs, touchtunes jukebox, darts, leather high chairs, and outdoor seating. Pam was the beautiful bartender that took care of me today. Opened in 1954, this dive bar seems to be nostalgic and relaxing. Very clean and a well lit bar top.
