Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
The crowd and the inspector reached the same conclusion. Where the staff comes up, the rating that follows averages 4.1, so it reads as a strength. Plate size follows at 22% of reviews, where ratings average 4.2.
Whether food comes out hot shows up in 17% of reviews as well, averaging 4.3. 18 of 23 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 3 are two or lower. More reviewers landed on 5 stars than any other score — 18 of 23.
The health record runs ahead of the reviews. The last DBPR inspection returned an A (96/100) with 1 intermediate and 1 basic violations. That result dates from February 6, 2026. That puts it ahead of 73% of graded kitchens in Volusia County. What the inspector actually wrote up: dishwashing facilities.
Both measures agree, which is the least complicated version of this page. Full reviews follow below in the order they were left.

-
Best brisket ive had in a long time. Sides and everything were good
-
Good bbq, quaint little place! Would rather have different bbq sauce options but otherwise good!
-
Although the food was good, we were disappointed with the portion size. Ordered take-out. 1lb brisket (3.5-4 slices) and 3 sides of French fries (equal to 1 large side or 2 small sides). We have been to other BBQ places and this family size meal was equal to a good size 1 person meal. For $26 not worth the money. We won't be back.

Let me first start off by saying the staff was really nice and welcoming. With that being said I was highly disappointed with how tender and juicy the meat was with absolutely no lick of flavor in sight. The baked beans were ok. The macaroni had no flavor and the cornbread was semi sweet.

Good food and service
-
Food - decent prices and portions. Happy hour on beer. Service - order at the counter and they deliver your food to the table. Servers were friendly and food came out quickly. Atmosphere - Sat on the patio. Right next to the I 95 exit ramp so very noisy. Patio and tables were clean. Worth a stop.....

OMG! You get so much food and good, quality food! Must try the Fat Boy sandwich. So much food!
-
The Fat Boy sandwich was FABULOUS. French fries were excellent as well as the fried okra. Friendly and attentive staff. A big plus, located next to the Teddy Morse's Daytona Harley-Davidson Dealership and Showroom in Ormond Beach off I-95.

Food was great! Slow cooked on a grill. Huge serving and not too pricy! Staff was wonderful!

Always stop here when traveling through Daytona

10/10 experience brisket was nice and tender, the ribs were delicious! Great potato salad and coleslaw!

My wife and I travel to the Orlando area all the time... and almost every time we are on our way back home we stop and eat there! We have never had a bad experience! The food is always good and the service is always amazing!

I wish I could leave 10 stars, all these young ladies were fabulous. Food was the best fast food BBQ I've ever had! Sorry Texas your out! This is a must stop, the Grammy greens are homemade and very great, not burnt like some places. Anyways I could not eat everything as the portions were huge ( and I'm not shy when food is in front of me, my belly shows it). I'll be back 120% when I get the chance. Thanks ladies

Saw the name along the interstate thought it would just be a small stand. Colts is a full restaurant with a Southern BBQ atmosphere. When I walked in they were quite busy and I can see why the food was great the service was great. Will definitely stop here again.

I had the sausage plate with fries and macaroni and cheese . Macaroni tasted very starchy . The sausage was very odd tasting ( I was told later it had bacon in it ) . My friend had the turkey plate . Turkey was extremely dry and did not have a smoke ring . The " smoke " taste was kinda bitter almost like liquid smoke . She salad was good .
-
Great smoke on all the meat, fall off the bone ribs, tender brisket, sausage was juice and had a snap when I bit into it. The sides are great, especially the corn bread and potato salad.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you’re debating whether it’s worth the drive from St. Augustine—stop thinking and start driving. Colt’s Pig Stand is officially “road trip required” status. We rolled in hungry and left questioning all of our life choices… mainly why we don’t eat here every week. The pulled chicken? Juicy enough to make you emotional. The green beans? Somehow made us feel like we were being healthy (we weren’t). Mac n cheese? Creamy, cheesy, and borderline addictive. The Redneck Reuben? A masterpiece that probably deserves its own holiday. But let’s talk about the real MVP… the Brunswick stew. I don’t know what kind of magic, wizardry, or backyard sorcery went into that pot, but it was hands-down the BEST we’ve ever had. Like “argue with your grandma about it” good. We’ll 100% be making that drive again—and next time, we might just order two stews… for research purpose of course. Highly recommend. Bring your appetite and maybe some stretchy pants.
