Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
The direction of travel is downward across these 23 reviews. Reviewers who mention the staff rate this place 4.0 on average — it is working in the restaurant’s favour.
The split is 18 positive to 4 negative across 23 rated reviews, with 1 in the middle. More reviewers landed on 5 stars than any other score — 18 of 23. What nobody raises here is tidiness — it goes unmentioned across all 23 reviews.
The health record runs ahead of the reviews. The last DBPR inspection returned an A (91/100) with 2 intermediate and 3 basic violations. That result dates from March 17, 2026. The trend across inspections is decline. On health score it sits safer than 55% of the Volusia County restaurants we grade. What the inspector actually wrote up: food-contact surfaces clean and sanitized and nonfood-contact surfaces clean.
Nothing here pulls in opposite directions — an unusually clean read. The reviews themselves follow, unedited and newest first.

Mucho burrito was fantastic. 10/10 will be back
-
Bartender rude not attentive to American clients, very attentive to Mexican clients, will not go there again, went to eat but left after ordering one drink. Went elsewhere to eat where the staff are better mannered.

Stopped in on Father's day. . Had a delicious meal chicken fajita the best. Server Gabby excellent. Love the art work on the booths and chair backs.

BEWARE: Service, Food and drink were good BUT beware of any changes to your order. I was charged 25.99 for a margarita because I only wanted Casa Migos tequila, seltzer and agave. I did not order a double but the “ manager “ said i got a 2oz shot of extra premium tequila. Normally the restaurant only puts 1 oz in their drinks. 25.99? They are sneaky opportunists. I paid my bill but will not go back. 7 people in our party won’t go back, all with voices.

This Mexican restaurant has a beautiful interior. The hand painted furniture and decor really are picture perfect! The wait staff was pleasant, the food was flavorful and it's colorful presentation were great. Generous portions and a fair price point make this neighborhood restaurant a gem in Ormond Beach!

Unexpected GEM 🌮 The Paella was out of this world and the chorizo queso 🤤 The best part though was Gabby who made phenomenal recommendations, anticipated our every need and made us wish we lived closer so we could make this a weekly date. Highly recommend 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Overpriced, for what you get and the drinks buy one get one free overpriced $14 not worth it.

Been here twice. Both times have been great!

Update: we love this place. We're treated like family. The staff always warmly welcomes us and appreciate our business. Great Mexican food with lots of drink specials. Friendly service. Generous portions and unlimited chips and salsa. This is my favorite locally owned place to go for Mexican food and atmosphere. Update: this restaurant is always consistent with good food and friendly service. My office came here for our Christmas celebration and everyone loved it. Update: still our favorite Mexican restaurant. We feel like family.

I had an amazing experience at Guacamoles! I ordered the churrasco and it was delicious, cooked exactly the way I requested and full of flavor. The atmosphere was great, and the service made the night even better. Sofia, the bartender, was on point the entire time: super friendly, attentive, made excellent drinks, and was genuinely great to talk to. My girlfriend absolutely loved the margaritas! Salvador was also very kind and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening. The food, drinks, and hospitality were all excellent. Definitely a spot we’ll keep coming back to whenever we’re craving great Mexican food and a fun vibe!

Always a great experience! Excellent service, tasty food and cold beer. What else could you ask for!

Service was great. Loved the decor. Food was overpriced for what we got. Hated the music. Electronic club music played very loudly.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely fantastic experience! The food here is some of the best Mexican cuisine I’ve had—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Every dish was spot on. But what really made the night unforgettable was our server, Salvador. He was attentive, friendly, and had such a great energy that elevated the entire experience. He made us feel genuinely welcomed and taken care of. If you come here, definitely ask for him—you won’t be disappointed!

I’m so sad to say today is my last time. Been coming here for years. Always great service. Staff used to greet you with a smile and light conversation……but no more. We walked in and waited at podium….no staff around so we decided to sit at bar.(no big deal)…Sitting there for 5 minutes or so…. My boyfriend went to look for someone. Mila came trolling out..never said “ hello” or anything… just looked at us as if we were interrupting and asked us “what you want”. Micheladas is what we want of course since I’m the girl in the video about their amazing micheladas. It took her over 10 minutes to bring them because she kept going back to the kitchen over and over. Then once we got drinks she disappeared! Literally disappeared. My boyfriend and I kept giving her the benefit of the doubt and wondering if we should go seek her again….We wanted to order food and stay a while but then my boyfriend read that anything over $50 would automatically get 20% tip included!! That indicates a certain level of service that would warrant mandatory minimum charges, but we haven’t received that level of care so we decided to CUT OUR LOSSES and close out. When we asked Mila to close us out she asked us if anything was wrong. I appreciated the sudden recognition so we told her that we have been coming here for years and were expecting a different kind of service like we’ve always been used to. She got very defensive and started explaining to us about her “ inventory “ and all her responsibilities and…
