Community Rating
Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
Recent diners are rating this place better than the back catalogue suggests. Opinion on how guests are treated is split — those reviews land at 3.6 on average.
Of the 20 rated reviews, 16 sit at four stars or better and 4 at two or below. Conspicuously absent: cleanliness, which no reviewer brings up. 5 stars is the modal score, given by 10 of the 20 reviewers who rated.
Against that, the kitchen inspects well — an A (100/100), nothing cited at the most recent DBPR visit. That inspection was on June 1, 2026. The trend across inspections is decline. Ranked against Volusia County, it is safer than 100% of the restaurants we score. The inspector left without citing anything — worth noting, since most visits find something.
This is a listing where the two measures each tell half the story. Read the originals below and judge the pattern yourself.

My Favorite Lamb Burger around 😋
-
Solids spot always.
-
We really liked this place! The outdoor seating/ bar area was a vibe even while it was raining. Friendly staff, great cocktails, & lots of options. The bruschetta pizza & portobello fries were sooo good!
-
Great food and atmosphere, friendly service.
-
It was good with a fun atmosphere. The servers are all very friendly.
-
Best brunch in Daytona Beach. Nice outdoor dining and bar. The buffet style food served during brunch is always good.
-
The food wasn't great, service was below average too. We sat on the back deck. Their fans are way too small for the size of the deck. So, needless to say it was hot and no breeze! They need bid fans, better service and better flavor for their food!

Great food and service
-
Food - ordered the Bruschetta Pizza. $16.50 for a a small pizza. No flavor. Very little tomato or sausage. Happy Hour, not so happy. $1.00 off draft beer that's overpriced. Not much value here. Service - server was very good. Atmosphere - Very cool Tiki bar design. Signs posted that service dogs only but loved our pup and no hassles but you might want to check first. 2 star rating is for value. Overpriced. One and done.

I loved this some of the best pizza ever I’ve ate also got the mahi tacos which were great, definitely going back.
-
The food was great, service was on point. Our bartender was very nice and on top of things. It was very hot since its summer in Florida...very humid otherwise great.

This is a great spot with awesome vibes. Good food and amazing drinks. The tiki bar out back is where it’s at!
-
A slice from the Big Island hidden right inside Ormond Beach. Both times I have been here- the food has been amazing and original. But- the atmosphere is what makes this place. The back area here feels like the ultimate hidden Hawaiian tiki bar space. Both times- the local artists playing have also been amazing shows that elevate the whole experience.

We made a reservation with Amber for our group of 50 people and they were absolutely FANTASTIC!! They accommodated us wonderfully and the food and the service were absolutely INCREDIBLE!!! I would recommend The Grind to anyone and everyone. Thank you so much for an incredible experience!! Can’t wait to come back!!

Rude. Wouldn’t give my brother in law his keys. Absolute trash customer service. Don’t waste your time here.
-
Decided to come up from NSB and check out some OB spots tonight. Really cool outside area. Service was so so. But $16 for two Yuenglings is pretty steep by any standard. Guess this is the high class spot in town?? Won’t be rushing back with them charging that kind of coin

Love this place Food is great Margarita pizza NOPE. No cheese on it. Was horrible like eating a cracker but white pizza is great and chicken pasta is so good. Only real bad this is they let people smoke on the patio. So it makes it hit or miss if you can enjoy your food

Great service! Great drinks! We got the pork wings and pizza. Both were delicious. Kona sauce with the wings 💯.
-
Awesome outdoor seating area! The Hawaiian pizza was outstanding! Blend of barbecue /marina sauce, so good. The Lemon Thyme salad was very delicious. Service was awesome and very attentive.
-
I've been here many times, always enjoyable. However last night we sat for 30 minutes, no server, not even a glass of water, and this was after asking the host for a server.
