56% of reviews here touch on service, more than any other theme. Service cuts both ways here, averaging 3.9 among the reviews that raise it. Whether it is worth the money is the next most common subject, in 24% of reviews (averaging 3.3).
How long an order takes shows up in 16% of reviews as well, averaging 3.0. The split is 18 positive to 5 negative across 25 rated reviews, with 2 in the middle. If you had to pick one number to represent this corpus it would be 5, the most frequently given rating (12 reviews).
The health record runs ahead of the reviews. The last DBPR inspection returned an A (94/100) with 1 intermediate and 3 basic violations. DBPR last walked in on May 26, 2026. That puts it ahead of 65% of graded kitchens in Volusia County. The citations behind that grade include single-service and single-use items and handwash sinks accessible.

Historic building, antique setting however I didn't walk into the establishment to see a museum. I was reacting to the photo of the fried chicken, greens and mashed potatoes and gravy. The biscuit was delicious. However, the chicken was more batter than actual meat. Small bird. And not organic ( which being organic would excuse the small size). $26!!! I could hear the woman in the kitchen explaining to the server that it is 1/2 a chicken.. breast, wing, thigh.... like we are all idiots and have never seen or eaten a chicken before. Restaurant people (rolls eyes). And the toilet seat in the bathroom is not checked or cleaned regularly or properly (stained with poop water). I wiped part of it off with a paper towel.

We went there for my birthday dinner and decided to sit at their bar. The bartender. Nick was attentive, very nice and overall service was excellent! The food was delicious. My husband had the all you can eat fried chicken-yummy!

Good food, little expensive, very loud tables close together so when everyone is talking it's loud, pretty place tho
-
I ordered carry out. The fried chicken was superb! The collards were delish and the mac and cheese was so tasty! If you are looking for the best southern fried chicken.....this restaurant is a must!

I didn’t even have time to order a drink or eat before a young woman with glasses approached us and told us that our table was reserved and that we could not sit there. How were we supposed to know? The table was not marked as reserved, and the bar staff had seated us there. She informed us that the table was reserved for a party arriving 30 minutes later, but she made no effort to offer us another table or assist us in finding alternative seating. Her tone and overall attitude were rude and unprofessional. Unfortunately, this experience left a very negative impression. It was our first visit, and it will also be our last. My family and I will not be returning. A welcoming atmosphere and courteous customer service are important, and neither was demonstrated during our visit.

Rosevilla is absolutely outstanding! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with friendly smiles and exceptional service. The staff was attentive, professional, and genuinely cared about making sure our experience was perfect from start to finish. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and beautifully maintained. Whether you're stopping in for a casual meal or celebrating a special occasion, Rosevilla provides the perfect setting. The restaurant has a comfortable and relaxing vibe that makes you want to stay and enjoy every moment. The food was excellent, prepared with care and served promptly. Every detail reflected the pride and dedication of the team. It's clear that Rosevilla has built a reputation for quality, hospitality, and consistency over the years. If you're looking for a restaurant with amazing service, a welcoming atmosphere, and a memorable dining experience, Rosevilla is a place I highly recommend. I will definitely be returning!

Very deceiving, the website is showing only part of the lunch menu and not the dinner menu. It only showed the appetizer section of the menu for dinner deceiving one to believe that was the dinner menu

10/10 highly recommend. Food and drinks were delicious

Went for my birthday dinner. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is very cool, love the historic space. We ordered a scallops app and the crab cake app, both of which were okay. The biscuits and honey butter were to die for, and honestly my favorite part of the meal. I ordered the blueberry lemontini and it came out very sour and tart. I figure maybe just wasnt for me so I sent it back. My server came back with another and said that she had tried the other and that it had been done incorrectly so she remade it so i could try it how it was suppose to be. This second attempt was SO GOOD. I appreciated her remaking it as I had friends who raved about this drink and I really wanted to try it. My husband and I got the sea bass over the seasonal risotto in a lobster sherry sauce. The risotto and the sauce were great, but the sea bass was very fishy. We ate it as we had tickets to see a play and I didnt have time for a redo, but It definitely killed the experience for me. Hence the 3 stars. I hear people love the chicken and the pork chop so maybe we will go back and try that, but the seafood route disappointed us.

Great fried chicken!

My friend and I came here for lunch during the week. The food is really wonderful and the setting is the best. Very elegant. There was eventually no one since we had late lunch. Despite that the waitress was rude and absent and just very arrogant for no reason. She was nowhere to be found whenever we needed her. If it was a cheap establishment with mediocre food and full of customers to take care of, I would have said oh well, but she really doesn't deserve to be part of Rose Villa kind of place.

What a fun place. Love the atmosphere, great food and prices not bad!

It was nice. It was overpriced. The decor was interesting. We were there for an anniversary and they gave us a little plaque that they put on our table, but set us out front in the porch next to the traffic. There was outdoor seating in the back where there was live music and something much prettier and romantic. The food was good but not great. My wife said she wouldn't go back.

Wife and I celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary and they made the experience very enjoyable and memorable. Definitely as advertised. Food was absolutely delicious and the ambiance was vintage. Will come back when we return to Daytona Beach.

The bouillabaisse was excellent. The blueberry martini also excellent. Steak was not excellent. Atmosphere is lovely

The staff & food were awesome and the bourbon bar was great too.

A very nice restaurant in an old converted house. Our server was very helpful when we asked to modify a menu item.

We go there quite often. Everything has been perfect until last Saturday, I was in a bad mood due to business so my boyfriend took me here for luncheon. Ordered drinks and food, said hi to staff and chilled. But the waitress constantly interrupted my conversation with my boyfriend, over 15 times during 1 hour. I was very nice to respond, due to etiquette, but it further gave me a really bad mood. I hope she can read people’s face and real intentions better - it’s a social place, isn’t it?

The food was at the price range. It took a long time to get the food. My wife had the fried chicken. She liked it and I had the boulebrause. It was good but the shrimp was like hard rubber, the scallops were amazing and there was hardly any fish in it. Overall it was a good experience but I dont know if we would return.
-
Much too expensive and way overrated. Food was really not that good and not much better than a Diner's.

Wowzy WOW. This is more than a restaurant, it's an experience! Oozing charm, delicious food, and our server Savannah was just delightful. It may have been my first time, but definitely not my last. I HIGHLY recommend this gem. Editing to add... The menu highlights the story and the history of this lovely restaurant, including highlighting the restoration of the flag pole and the mounted flag of 45 stars (which is significant to the story). I was gobsmacked to see this flag in absolute tatters. As a daughter of a US Marine who holds every American flag as sacred, I was heartbroken and indignant to see this American flag in such a state. It is incredibly disrespectful for this tattered and shredded flag to be mounted. PLEASE address this. Any VFW would be only too happy to properly remove and retire this flag and help the owner to replace it with another flag having 45 stars. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

It was our anniversary. Our waiter Wellington was great. The food was good. My only complaint was it was very noisy. When we entered the room downstairs, we saw a large table had been prepared. It was so nice and intimate But eventually they all came. They obviously had a reservation. They should have been put in the room to the rear by themselves. As we were leaving another party from the room commented how noisy it was. I wouldn’t mind going back, but I’m hesitant especially if it’s a special occasion.

We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The ambience and atmosphere was great, and the food and service were top notch. No one in our party had anything that was less than spectacular. We had the fried green tomatoes, southern fried chicken, filet, and jambalaya for dinner. The cocktails also were delicious and refreshing! It was a Saturday evening, so there was live music with Rex in the outdoor dining space. He’s very talented and really added a lot of enjoyment to the evening!

Had a good evening, only set back would be the slow service with server forgetting to bring items asked for. Having said that we would return.
