What diners say — our read

One subject runs through these 15 reviews more than any other: front-of-house. Reviewers who mention the staff rate this place 4.6 on average — it is working in the restaurant’s favour.

Of the 15 rated reviews, 14 sit at four stars or better and 1 at two or below. What nobody raises here is serving size — it goes unmentioned across all 15 reviews. More reviewers landed on 5 stars than any other score — 12 of 15.

On the inspection side the picture is cleaner: DBPR graded this kitchen an A (94/100), with 6 basic violations. Whatever the reviews argue about, sanitation is not the weak point. That result dates from May 13, 2026. Its inspection trajectory is upward over the records we hold. On health score it sits safer than 65% of the Volusia County restaurants we grade. What the inspector actually wrote up: dishwashing facilities and wiping cloths.

With both signals pointing the same way, there is little to argue about on this listing. The underlying reviews are reproduced in full underneath.

Megan our server was the best 👌

It wasn’t a great experience. The hostess had an attitude, the server was nice but then when my food was served by other servers the server tilted the sizzling skillet and the shrimp fell on my lap and stained my pants, the server didn’t even apologized she giggled, while walking away. Just terrible, I will not be eating here again. And in noted the manager did not come to our table and apologized for the service. The server Jason was only one that apologized for everyone else which wasn’t his fault. So I was given free onions rings and one meal for free.

Our Applebee's experience was enhanced by our waiter, Jason. He was knowledgeable, attentive but not intrusive, addressed our questions, and made suggestions when asked. A very professional and pleasant young man. Thank you too to the Mgr, Ray.

We went during an "all you can eat" setup on the menu time. I expected it to be super busy and it was not. That was nice. The food came out fast and the servers were awesome! Will be back.
