Community Rating
Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
The 3.5-star average is misleading — almost nobody actually rated it that. Reviews mentioning the staff average 3.8 stars, so it divides opinion rather than settling it.
Of the 22 rated reviews, 13 sit at four stars or better and 7 at two or below. More reviewers landed on 5 stars than any other score — 11 of 22.
On the inspection side the picture is cleaner: DBPR graded this kitchen an A (91/100), with 2 intermediate and 3 basic violations. Whatever the reviews argue about, sanitation is not the weak point. That result dates from January 8, 2026. Its inspection trajectory is upward over the records we hold. That puts it ahead of 44% of graded kitchens in St. Lucie County. What the inspector actually wrote up: food from approved source and cross-contamination.
The honest summary is that the evidence is mixed on both sides. The underlying reviews are reproduced in full underneath.

Got wings to go. 10 mild 10 medium. Some of the best wings I ever had.

Very good tasting food and good service. I really enjoy thirsty, turtle, and all their food and their chicken wings are good and their fish seafood. And also, how appetizers are good? I really like this place for business. Meetings and family get-togethers. If you're looking for a good restaurant or good food and good service, this is a highly recommended restaurant for me. Thank you. Enjoy thirsty turtle.

We are new residents to Port St Lucie. I'm a foodie and love to find the local favorites so I was excited to try their famous wing sauce. Walked in and stood at the front door with no one to greet us for over 5 minutes. The restaurant was not busy and more then one employee made eye contact but still no one came to sit us so we walked up to the bar where the bartender didn't even look up. I've been in the service industry my entire life so I don't have patience for the inability to at least acknowledge customers. We walked out. I was sad so we will try again at a different location.

They changed the wing sauce. Tastes like thick paste. Got food pretty fast but took over 30 minutes to get the last of our order. Been coming to Thirsty Turtle since it opened on Jono but we’re not coming back to Port St Lucie restaurant

Awesome always love the Turtle!!

We sat on the outside patio, very comfortable. Wings and onion rings were awesome! Pierce, was an awesome server! Attentive MOD, we shared secrets on the mosquitoes as they have them under control. Great food, great service, great ambiance! Sorry, I didn't get any pics.

First time there and will going back! Food good with excellent service! Our party of 5 were there for 2 hours… No one rushed us! We will all be back!
-
NE Clam Chowder, don't waste your money. It was like wallpaper paste small house salad, needed improvement They had one waitress, they needed 2 inside, I saw people get up and leave, OUCH!
-
Rude Rosunna - didn’t apologize once for them screwing up our meal. Didn’t refill the coffee or ginger ale, snapped at us for asking for a spoon - said she was busy taking an order, rather than apologizing for them giving us an appetizer without silverware or side plates. We’ve been there before and didn’t experience sauerkraut on the menus and dirty tables, untrained servers.

Clam Casino were delicious. And the wings my favorite, very good as always.

I came here because I follow Baldy!!! I got the wing special....OMG!!!! I would say they have the best Wings!!!! Seriously, you need to come here. Service is great; please ask for Travis!!!
-
Great food, friendly staff, and a place that made me feel right at home with the awesome music selection! The wing sauce seems pretty original and is to die for...there was brief moment while eating these wings, when I thought found Christ, but immediately started drowning on the awesomeness of the sauce. Seriously...it's really good and you should have some.

The food was good but it lacked flavor. Salt? Seasonings? Please.

Our food was fantastic waitress Terra excellent great atmosphere
-
Ordered 20 wings and none of them had meat on them. Literally fried bones covered in sauce. So overcooked and tough it was hard to even bite the little bit of meat off of them. They were like jerky..
-
Travis is the best! If you want to go somewhere with a great ambiance, good drinks and good food, you should stop in. Dawn and Karissa are great too!
-
Didn’t even want to try the food because the silverware they sat in front of us was so disgusting. Wish I got a picture but I was appalled and left!
-
Solid all around. Always good times when visiting here. Great food, decent prices. Best wings ever (IMO).
-
Great service in a sports bar style restaurant with a great selection of seafood appetizer and entree options as well as the usual bar food. Prices are reasonable, and portions are generous. Loved the steamed clams...and the fish and chips provides a very generous portion of both! I had leftovers to take home!

Food was off this visit. When we told server the dip was horrible she didn't offer anything else. Saw we did not even touch it from original dip. Said try it next time. It us usually good.
