Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
Recent visits are landing softer than earlier ones did. Reviews mentioning the staff average 2.8 stars, so it divides opinion rather than settling it. After that, plate size appears most often — 23% of the corpus, averaging 4.0.
More reviewers landed on 5 stars than any other score — 11 of 22. Behind those, pacing is raised in 18% of reviews (3.0 average). The corpus runs from Dec 2025 through Jun 2026 — not a single moment in time. 12 of 22 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 8 are two or lower.
The health record runs ahead of the reviews. The last DBPR inspection returned an A (97/100) with 3 basic violations. That result dates from May 26, 2026. Across its inspection history the kitchen is improving, which argues for giving it the benefit of the doubt. On health score it sits safer than 72% of the St. Lucie County restaurants we grade. What the inspector actually wrote up: in-use food dispensing utensils properly stored and floors, walls, ceilings clean & maintained.
Neither signal is decisive on its own here, which is why both are shown. The reviews themselves follow, unedited and newest first.

Ordered a small curry goat, I got minced meat goat. The lady who took our order never smiled and when we asked about the price of a small tray of curried goat, the price changed on a whim. Just not customer friendly,as it seems they recognize new customers and adopt a different approach. Not good for business.

Custom service is not something you will get here. Couldn’t care less about the quality of the food when the quality of the people running this are awful. Maybe only some people are allowed to order here. Sad.

Best Jamaica food in psl that I've tasted so far
-
I remember this place when I used to live here 10-15 years ago. Its not the same. I would have given 10 stars if possible and if it tasted like it did back then. Now they're just living off their name and longevity in PSL. The food I bought today wasn't bad but it just doesn't taste the same. Too salty, cabbage isn't cooked like it used to be, and the plantains used to be sweet and soft as butter.

Very poor customer service experience, maybe because I came in with my partner..!??? Never coming back, I didn’t try to food yet but that doesn’t even matter when people are just nasty towards you.

Food was delicious and authentic. Reasonably priced. Very generous portions. They were pretty busy when I was there, but they were efficient in getting everyone their items.

The cashier is not the most friendly people you will come across, just order your food straight to the point and leave. The price is ok, the owner Jimmy is kool no issues there. The food on the other hand is ok nothing to boast about it is a hit and miss situation, I can't say go there for great food I would say stop by if you are hungry and can't wait. The food need to be worked on. The pepper steak wasn't seasoned properly or even have any pepper on it my cow foot was white and was tuff my rice was not fully cooked and I am being honest, now let me say this I have gone there before and the food was great but was like 3/10 3 good out of ten. I am taking a break maybe next year I will try them again

These people charge my mother $25 for for a 16oz tin of cheese because she old and didn't think no one would notice. I will never step foot in this place again. Make sure to check your receipts before you leave if you are elderly because they will over charge you.

Best beef patties on the treasure coast. We come here often for lunch and dinner. Never had a bad meal here and the staff is always friendly.

Was my second time in this place, first time wasn't that bad so I decided to order from them again. This time I asked for a mini-lunch at $7.50+ tax I though it wasn't a bad deal, thinking it will be similar to the restaurant I used to go to back home(which was even cheaper). They always runs lunch specials and of course lunch was always served in a small, but normal container, and ALWAYS all their meals come with cabbage. I thought it would be the same here or similar, big mistake! It was literally a tiny container, the kind that the restaurants use to put sides in. The Rice was extremely dry, no plantains, no cabbage, that being so cheap you'll think they will add some, they not even put sauce on top of the rice. My husband that always loves Jamaican food didn't finish his meal, he ate some and left most of it in his plate didn't finish it . Overall, not worth it the $8 that I paid for it. That being said,on the bright side, this town has so many options to choose from that I'm pretty sure that i will find a much betterJamaican place.

Hands down some of the best Jamaican food I’ve had! Flavorful, fresh, and authentic. Great portions, great service, and amazing vibes. A must-try!
-
This is one of my favorite go to when I have a taste or don’t feel like cooking Jamaican cuisine. My favorite dish is the soup in oxtails dinner And the wait time is not bad depending on how many people are there cause it’s a very popular restaurant

The light skin woman with way too much makeup on and contacts is extremely rude, she can’t operate under pressure with 3 customers in front of her. She took my order wrong then tried to blame it on me when I tried to explained to her that maybe there’s some miscommunication she said something to someone in the back and they responded to each other with a smart comment. YOU made the mistake, I tried to acknowledge the miscommunications and she put the entire blame on me IN FRONT of the customers. When I left I threw the food away, I will never go here again. “Jerk city” just lost a loyal customer.
