What diners say — our read

There is no middle ground in these 20 reviews. The staff cuts both ways here, averaging 3.7 among the reviews that raise it. Freshness follows at 20% of reviews, where ratings average 3.0.

More reviewers landed on 5 stars than any other score — 10 of 20. Of the 20 rated reviews, 13 sit at four stars or better and 7 at two or below. Pacing shows up in 15% of reviews as well, averaging 1.0. The corpus runs from Sep 2025 through Jun 2026 — not a single moment in time.

Against that, the kitchen inspects well — an A (99/100), 1 basic violations at the most recent DBPR visit. That result dates from April 30, 2026. Its inspection trajectory is upward over the records we hold. Ranked against St. Lucie County, it is safer than 90% of the restaurants we score. What the inspector actually wrote up: garbage and refuse.

Neither signal is decisive on its own here, which is why both are shown. Full reviews follow below in the order they were left.

Our waitress was horrible. Took her 10-15 minutes to come back with drinks and to order food. My order was incorrect and the food was bland. Every time we needed a refill our waitress was talking at the bar. No excuses to not be attentive when you have 1 table occupied in the entire restaurant. We will stick with the SLW location in the future.

This is one of the worst places I've ever eaten The air conditioning wasn't working flies all over the place and they charge you for everything they put on your table they charged me $11 for rice they even charged me extra for putting it on my credit card which is illegal I wouldn't go there if it was the last restaurant on the planet Earth stay away save your money there's much better places out there and they were rude and they had no manager what a dump stay clear ...

    Great food and staff!!

I have not had a ‘bad’ meal at this chain until now. Just got back form painful surgery, wanted the best Fajitas in the area for great comfort food. Ordered Beef Nachos and they were excellent. Now a favorite to be sure. Ordered and paid for Fajitas (chicken, With Sauteed Bell Peppers And Onions. Served With Mexican Rice, Beans, Lettuce, Pico De Gallo, Sour Cream And Guacamole.) and my favorite Fried Ice cream. No fried Ice cream. Doordash refunded it. No beans, Pico de gallo, lettuce and very little peppers & onions. However this time they did include wraps. Chaulk it up to a bad Monday or they have slipped in the delivery department.

Great food and atomosphere. From Dora to Sky to Kevin even down to the manager Raquel everything was amazing!! I love authentic Mexican food and I'm not talking about tacos either I love the real stuff and their food is top tier!! I had the carne asada and had a passion fruit mojito that Dora made which was fabulous! Also, Kevin recommend another drink to me as well which was a pineapple whisky and of course that was just as good! Love this place I will definitely be back for Taco Tuesday

Incredibly friendly and hospitable staff/servers! Very welcoming atmosphere. I appreciate the "old town" charm. The margaritas and micheladas were on point! The food was fresh tasting and well-seasoned. I ordered the molcajete, which included beef, chicken, and shrimp! It was really good! I highly recommend it!

I had a really great experience at Pueblo Viejo Bayshore. From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming and attentive without being overwhelming. The food came out fresh and full of flavor you can tell they care about quality and authenticity. The portions were generous, and everything tasted homemade. The atmosphere was lively but still comfortable enough to enjoy a good conversation. Overall, it felt like a place you’d want to come back to, not just for the food but for the whole experience. Definitely recommend if you’re in the Bayshore area.

Went last night with a couple of friends and my boyfriend. Food was cold, my steak was over cooked when I asked for medium rare and even on the itemized check it was written in medium which was incorrect. Now I’m usually a good tipper and very happy with food. But service was way below standard. And as a bartender and server myself I was disappointed in how we were treated. Taking forever for our drinks over 30 minutes wait while there was only two other tables seated in the restaurant and one was packing up, and our server no where to be found CONSTANTLY. Then to find out that the server went ahead and tipped herself more than what we intended to leave… was insane of such a business to let happen.

Went with 3 of my friends, it took 45 mins to get a margarita in a dead restaurant, the elote came out cold the first time then when I left 15 on 150 for the terrible service the server took it upon herself to leave herself 20 instead.

We have ordered from Pueblo Viejo for years, and we always enjoy the food. We tried to order for pickup, and the website menu is confusing and hard to navigate. The Flautas don't have an option to pick a meat. The Supremo Burrito doesn't allow me to pick ground beef. We called, trying to get the order right, and there was no way to speak to a human. We were directed back to the website in both of two calls. After an hour of trying, we gave up and ordered pizza.

They are always very friendly and the food is delicious

We've been to this Pueblo Viejo quite a few times now. Also been to the St Lucie West one. Crowd was extremely light for a Sunday evening. Grew up eating actual Mexican food, this is definitely not it. But it's pretty typical for what I've encountered here in Florida. They think highly of their food at Pueblo Viejo going by prices. Finally decided to rate this place after we ordered a pitcher of Amber XX and they brought a one liter glass bottle that looked like they got a good deal on it from Goodwill. Bottle had 1 liter set in the glass on it. My wife and I also enjoy patio sitting and ordering a pitcher so it's pretty obvious when something looks half the size. Nothing wrong there, except I did recall from somewhere in the back of my mind that a pitcher is half a gallon and a gallon is 3.8 liters. To their credit, the one liter bottle was filled to the brim, but it still didn't even fill up three (3) 14 or 15oz glasses. I asked the waitress if they just brought out another liter bottle at a later point and she said we could order another one? So all in all, paid for a pitcher and got half of one. Sure it's management and not the server working that scheme so tipped her like nornal and we just won't go back. We won't miss it, but based off the size of their Sunday crowd they'll miss us.
