Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
Sorted by date, these 23 reviews trend upward. Opinion on how guests are treated is split — those reviews land at 3.3 on average.
The split is 16 positive to 7 negative across 23 rated reviews. 5 stars is the modal score, given by 14 of the 23 reviewers who rated. These reviews span Dec 2025 to Jun 2026, so they cover more than one stretch of this kitchen’s history.
On the inspection side the picture is cleaner: DBPR graded this kitchen an A (95/100), with 5 basic violations. Whatever the reviews argue about, sanitation is not the weak point. That inspection was on January 28, 2026. The trend across inspections is improvement. On health score it sits safer than 57% of the St. Lucie County restaurants we grade. Among the items recorded were potentially hazardous foods properly thawed and in-use food dispensing utensils properly stored.
Neither signal is decisive on its own here, which is why both are shown. Everything above is computed from the 23 reviews reproduced below.

Place is a little small and not sure if they were doing renovations or what, but it seemed a little askew.

Lovely little place. Emerald Roll was delicious 😋

This place always hits the spot. We were the last ones to leavelast night. love the new seating arrangement.food is still on point. had the baby octopus cucumber salad, it was delicious.
-
Sashimi and sushi were great. Chicken patay was delicious served with a nice peanut sauce. Looking forward to going back for pad thai

Anniversary dinner was most enjoyable! Excellent service & food. Roy's continues to deliver.

I enjoyed a shrimp tempura bento box. The food was freshly prepared and delicious. I substituted the California roll with a spicy tuna roll and it was really good. The tempura veggies were especially delicious. It did come with a little katsu chicken as well, which I felt would have been better if it was a small helping of dessert instead, like fried bananas. But overall I was very happy.

The ambiance was exceptional. The service provided was highly commendable, and the cuisine offered a delightful array of flavors.

Phenomenal Thai restaurant, I came during busy dinner hours and there were only 2 waitresses and we still got our food quickly, and the food quality was at par with the best Thai restaurants I've ever been too in NYC. The seats are comfortable and the ambiance is great, a gem in the PSL area. And not to mention the prices and portion sizes are GREAT. I couldn't finish my meal there was so much pad Thai (I'm a 200lb 6ft male who was starving when I got there), which comes with complementary soup. They go the extra mile with everything, even their lemonade was great, we had drinks, appetizer, two entrees and miso soup and the total came out to ~50 dollars.

I went to this place and honestly, I do not recommend it. There was an issue with my food, so I called the manager, and she was very rude. She tried to blame another employee and treated both her staff and customers disrespectfully. I would really like to meet the owner of this restaurant because you have to be careful about who you put in charge of your business. Someone who treats people this way does not represent your business well. First of all, we are all human beings, and we should treat each other with respect. I also believe her attitude came across as discriminatory, possibly even racist, which is completely unacceptable.

After reading the reviews, I ended up pretty disappointed with this place. I’m surprised no one mentioned how strange the drinks taste. My mom ordered a lemonade and I got a Coke, and both tasted like what dirty toilet water smells like. I’m not trying to be harsh, but there’s really no other way to describe it. Either the water isn’t filtered or the soda machine hasn’t been cleaned in a long time. They should honestly have their water tested, because it didn’t seem safe to drink. The food was just okay. I ordered the shrimp pad Thai, and it had no spice at all—just sweet noodles with shrimp and no tofu. The sushi rolls were fine, but nothing special. I don’t think I’ll be coming back. They didn’t even have canned soda, so I ended up getting bottled water because it felt like the safest option. Not to mention I baby changing station In the bathroom had to balance baby on my lap in the bathroom. One last thing they add a 2.50% fee on your bill. They call it a credit card fee but don’t bother asking if you’re paying by credit. Since it’s illegal to charge a service fee on a debit card they are getting away with it by adding a note at the bottom of the receipt that says they charge 2.50% gratuity on every check.

Very helpful servers and the food is great

Ordered take out had stomach pain and digestive problems after eating. Everything tasted fishy. Never again.

Not like it used to be. I don't know what happened to this place. They were phenomenal. I will upload a picture of the Pad Thai I got and please create your own opinion. Their chicken tempura roll USED to come loaded with chicken, cucumber and avocado. Previous time ordered, chicken and cucumber. Ok.. Yesterday, chicken only. At this point call it chicken with rice and seaweed. I should've taken a picture but I was honestly SO disappointed. Not even mad, kinda sad actually. Husbands california roll was good, if you ask for it crunchy it will be your only saving grace. The prices were pretty cheap, as reflect by the food. This place used to be the best in PSL. I passed so many places getting to them, never again. Original (3 years ago. 5 stars): Very nice atmosphere with great sushi and Pad Thai. They will also make adjustments to your sushi if you ask prior to ordering, I love that. Great place.

says open but then closed for 1.5 hours annoying.

I have no complaints about the food or the service. However on their website they show happy hour for select rolls 50% off an appetizer start at $3. When we went we were handed a happy hour menu which was not 50% off of anything nor was there anything at $3. I asked the server about what was on that website which even showed the date as the day we were there and nothing was done. I asked to speak to a manager of course there was nobody there. 2 weeks later the website shows the date and shows that it was updated less than 24 hours ago but it still shows the happy hour specials incorrectly. That is false advertising. And misleading their customers.

Eating here is a lottery. Sometimes the food and service is good, other times it’s not. Today was not. We order wonton soup, sushi combo dinner. The sushi in the rice was undercooked, the miso soup that was supposed to come with dinner did not arrive until we asked for it. A teapot for Tea only came with one cup and I had to asked for one because the person who brought the tea never came back. The wonton soup tested like salted warm water. Granted it was very busy hear and only two waitresses, for which I give them an extra star, but no good excuse for bad rice in a Japanese restaurant

Decorated so nicely. The sushi is soooo good there. I love to sit at the couches with friends and get a sushi boat!!

Good, fresh and delicious seafood.

It was our 1st time eating at Roys Sushi and we loved it. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was very festive and the food was very delicious. We ordered the Pad Se-Ew with chicken and the Cashew Nut with chicken and we also tried the Triple Seasons Roll and their fried rice which was very flavorful!! We will definately be back.

First time visiting with my babe, and we both thought the food was pretty good. We ordered the drunken noodles, red wine duck, crunchy Krab sushi and crab ragoons. But we especially liked the fried Banana ice cream.
