What diners say — our read

Recent visits are landing softer than earlier ones did. The staff tends to be raised approvingly here, averaging 4.1 stars. How long an order takes is the next most common subject, in 22% of reviews (averaging 3.5).

A third strand, whether it is worth the money, appears in 17% of them at 2.7 stars. Of the 18 rated reviews, 14 sit at four stars or better and 3 at two or below. More reviewers landed on 5 stars than any other score — 13 of 18.

On the inspection side the picture is cleaner: DBPR graded this kitchen an A (100/100) with no violations cited. Whatever the reviews argue about, sanitation is not the weak point. That result dates from March 16, 2026. Across its inspection history the kitchen is declining, which argues for reading the older reviews with caution. On health score it sits safer than 100% of the Brevard County restaurants we grade. The inspector left without citing anything — worth noting, since most visits find something.

Nothing here pulls in opposite directions — an unusually clean read. The reviews themselves follow, unedited and newest first.

It was 1115 and my stomach can't take much so I asked for a waffle. NOPE that's a breakfast item. Now they serve waffles with chicken but I can't order a waffle??? The waitress was NOT very personable so we left. Such a pity when we heard good stuff.

Went here for breakfast after finding out my fave diner was closed and was not disappointed! I got the 2 egg platter with brisket and it was great. The brisket was a bit fatty, but the eggs and hashbrowns were amazing!!!

Very amusing service and good food! Becky and Angie were the best! Kept us laughing the whole time. Everything cooked to order was very fresh.

First time trying this place again after 3 years, same disappointment. Had a question about the kids meals/sides. Server seemed slightly annoyed off the bat. Ordered food and it came pretty quickly - got the bill a few minutes after, I said I was paying cash and didn’t notice the 3% card fee on there anyways was going to mention it while waiting for boxes but she never came back. Would’ve loved a drink refill for the price. Guess it’s just an extra tip in their pocket. Food was good, service - not so much, at least pretend to not hate your job, especially when it’s not even busy.

Great breakfast place! Chicken and waffles for the win! Servers are friendly. Derive is quick and coffee abundant!

I hate to leave a poor review for a place we generally love but today’s service (we do understand it was busy) was just awful. The waitress was wearing a mask so I am a little concerned maybe she was sick and serving food? She didn’t really speak to us at all. Was fairly dismissive and over charged us. Because it took so long, we decided to not correct the overcharge and pay cash and leave. Praying it was a fluke and will try to be back again. The waitresses are normally really great so we will be back.

Group of three stopped in for our first time. Nice friendly and polite staff, nice patriotic atmosphere. Ordered up the waffles with bacon, brisket egg wrap and big country with chicken fried steak (all made in house). Meals were presented nicely, great portions and reasonably priced. Coffee was delicious (had three cups). I'd recommend this location to any visitors and or locals whom haven't had the opportunity to try it out. 5*****
