Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
The crowd and the inspector reached the same conclusion. The staff tends to be raised approvingly here, averaging 4.8 stars.
What nobody raises here is pacing — it goes unmentioned across all 19 reviews. The corpus runs from Dec 2025 through Jun 2026 — not a single moment in time. 18 of 19 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 0 are two or lower. More reviewers landed on 5 stars than any other score — 14 of 19.
On the inspection side the picture is cleaner: DBPR graded this kitchen an A (97/100), with 3 basic violations. Whatever the reviews argue about, sanitation is not the weak point. That result dates from January 9, 2026. Its inspection trajectory is upward over the records we hold. On health score it sits safer than 72% of the Seminole County restaurants we grade. What the inspector actually wrote up: nonfood-contact surfaces clean and floors, walls, ceilings clean & maintained.
Both measures agree, which is the least complicated version of this page. Full reviews follow below in the order they were left.

Celery City is a hip beer bar in the heart of historic downtown Sanford. They offer an extensive draft beer selection, along with a solid variety of non-alcoholic beers and mocktails. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The venue features plenty of outdoor seating, including tables, chairs, and picnic tables spread throughout a spacious beer garden. Sushi & Seoul is conveniently located within the beer garden, making it easy to grab a delicious bite while enjoying the atmosphere. Smoking, including cigars, is permitted in the beer garden, but the large open-air layout, fans, and excellent airflow help keep the space comfortable. There’s also an outdoor entertainment stage that adds to the lively and social vibe. Overall, it’s a great place to relax, enjoy a drink, and experience the charm and character of historic downtown Sanford.

Tons of outdoor seating! Umbrellas for shade. They sell sushi next door as well. They have an extensive beer list, with over 40 beers to choose from. It's a great and open area with live music. A sanford staple!
-
Really great place to enjoy beer! Servers are very kind and beers are so good!

We didn't love the mixed drinks but maybe was just an off day. I'm sure it's better than our experience.

The food junkie that I am brings me back to this place at least 3 times a month. The sushi spot has this fried chicken bowl which is delicious and worth a weekday stop. Service is mediocre at its best, no smiles just place your order and you’ll get it shortly as they pass you the buzzer. At the bar, you can’t request a different or better alcohol than what’s on the menu for the cocktail you choose from what I was told but for the price I guess. Overall just order and enjoy your own company, smile and say thank you!

This is an irreplaceable gem in the heart of downtown Sanford. I love everything about this place. 1st the atmosphere is an outside area with long picnic tables with heaters in the winter, there are also tables and chairs throughout all the way back to the cigar bar in back another gem. There are tvs outside to watch the local games on and tvs inside as well with a fully stocked bar and great craft brews and creative cocktails. They have live music on an outside stage top notch always diverse and perfect volume so you can talk to your friends while you chill. I'm not a drinker but all who do imbibe there seem to love it including all in my group. The food sushi and Seoul is out of this world rolls korean chicken with sticky rice bowls of yummy stuff something for everyone. I am in a wheelchair and this place is very easy for me to navigate and every employee there from the beautiful ladies taking food orders tthe bar tenders the cooks and the guys who clean the tables and take away the glasses in a tall circus fashion tower stacked 10 ft high they are all the best in the business and always make me feel comfortable. This is a place you want to come to and bring a friend. You wont be bummed.

Great live music and cold beer.

Stopped for beers the other night. Very very fun patio. Very easy to order drinks off of video menu.

This place is great! My family of 20 came here Saturday night but the poor snake plant in the corner is thirsty. She needs new pants (pot) and a hair cut. It would be 5 stars if plantisha was cared for properly.

This place is awesome. It has a great selection of around 30 brews at a time and the atmosphere is wonderful. I absolutely love the beer garden especially in the evenings when you can go out and find a quiet table to hang with your friends and enjoy the nice weather.
