What diners say — our read

Reviews and inspection point the same way here. Service tends to be raised approvingly here, averaging 4.4 stars.

14 of 18 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 2 are two or lower. A third strand, plate size, appears in 16% of them at 3.7 stars. If you had to pick one number to represent this corpus it would be 5, the most frequently given rating (13 reviews).

The health record runs ahead of the reviews. The last DBPR inspection returned an A (100/100) and no violations cited. DBPR last walked in on April 20, 2026. On health score it sits safer than 100% of the Indian River County restaurants we grade. Nothing was written up at that inspection at all.

With both signals pointing the same way, there is little to argue about on this listing. Everything above is computed from the 19 reviews reproduced below.

We booked a Father’s Day weekend stay hoping for a relaxing family trip and paid $430 for two nights. Unfortunately, our experience did not meet expectations. When we arrived, our room had not been cleaned from the previous guests. We reported it right away and were apologized to and told we would receive a refund due to the inconvenience. On the second day, there was no housekeeping service at all. We had to call for fresh sheets and towels and ended up making the beds ourselves after returning to the room for the evening. For a resort, we expected regular room service and better attention to detail. That night, there was also loud music from other guests that continued until around 3 a.m., which made it difficult to sleep. For a family-oriented resort, we expected more enforcement of quiet hours and consideration for guests. In the end, we were only refunded $83, which did not feel reflective of the issues we experienced during our stay. Overall, the cleanliness and service were not what we expected for the price, and we hope improvements are made in these areas for future guests.

So.....as someone who has lived in town since what is now Capt Hirams...was a marina...I can say that as long as you are fine with paying double for Chili's or Ruby Tuesday level food....but get to see the Indian river...you will like it. The sandbar is fine to get a drink with friends....but the whole "Islandshpere" Thing is laughable....this is not the islands or the keys...it is Sebastian.

This is a must stay for locals and visitors alike. The location is spectacular, with bars, restaurants, and live entertainment within a walking distance along the Indian River Lagoon. We saw dolphins, manatees, plenty of fish and birds, and we didn’t even take a boat ride. The service was exceptional, and the experience was wonderful.

The combination of a King room and the Bunk room works so well for our family! Service couldn’t have been better! We take a boat trip here every year. Having our boats on the dock, ready to hit the inlet or ride to Ft. Pierce makes for the perfect location! Couple it with live music on the Sandbar and it’s the perfect weekend!

Lovely rooms with beachy decor. Fun bar with good food across the street. We'll definitely be back for another visit soon.

We live here and the entertainment and restaurants are fantastic. When we have friends in town, they always stay in the resort.

Did not stay the night but had a family member's birthday party there and the service and food was spot on. The best fish I have ever had. The oyster shots were yummy too.

No doubt, for scenic views, this is a lousy location to be called a resort. Absolutely no clear view of the river. But the restaurant is nice and the food well prepared. That's where the view is on the east side of the road, not the hotel on the opposite side of the road. See attached photo that shows it's impossible to see the river from the hotel. For WHAT CHR charges for a room, you could stay right on the beach in Melbourne - ocean view, not parking lot views. That's what we did, A1A. Much better experience.

Room wasn't very clean and paint needs to be refreshed. Linens seemed old and dingy. No towels in the bathroom. It was Thursday and the band stopped at 8pm. We were celebrating a birthday on that exact day. People were still wanting to dance. No music was put on after the band stopped. Barmaid was rude. Bar closed and everyone asked to clear out before 10pm. Nothing to do after that. Not much fun when everything is closed, no music. Very disappointing. Yeah we could have come on Friday or Saturday but didn't want to pay double the room price. Limited areas for dogs. We would have liked to actually see the band play but weren't aloud in that area with our dog even though the dog was in a wagon. Won't be back.

Waste of money. Musty room… was booked the wrong room for that matter but the one we got stunk. The parking was terrible. You have to compete with the locals for spaces as half the parking was for the restaurant. They claim there was trailer parking…. Well yes but in a very difficult area to park in (small spaces originally for cars not trailers). Every other guest near us on the Riverside, where they placed us was smoking weed including the locals from the restaurant. Apparently, this section of the resort was where everyone walked around the corner to go smoke a blunt. Even our room smelt like weed. There were so much marijuana. It was coming through our air conditioner into our room. I had my family there with kids. This was one of the worst experiences I’ve had on vacation in my life
