Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
One subject runs through these 22 reviews more than any other: front-of-house. Where the staff comes up, the rating that follows averages 4.4, so it reads as a strength. How long an order takes follows at 27% of reviews, where ratings average 4.5.
18 of 22 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 2 are two or lower. Whether food comes out hot shows up in 18% of reviews as well, averaging 5.0. More reviewers landed on 5 stars than any other score — 17 of 22.
Against that, the kitchen inspects well — an A (98/100), 2 basic violations at the most recent DBPR visit. That result dates from February 6, 2026. Across its inspection history the kitchen is improving, which argues for giving it the benefit of the doubt. That puts it ahead of 81% of graded kitchens in Indian River County. What the inspector actually wrote up: nonfood-contact surfaces clean and storage & handling of clean equipment and utensils.
Both measures agree, which is the least complicated version of this page. Full reviews follow below in the order they were left.

Amazing service and people

My husband and I just dined at Sebastian Saltwater and we are returning customers. We love the location, food and waitstaff. Tonight was different. We greeted the hostess (didn’t catch her name but she was about 5’4” dark hair and pony tail all dressed in black. She walked us outside and we expressed that my husband preferred to be in a shady area on the deck. We chose a larger round table and were informed that it was saved for larger parties. We understood and were seated by the bar area instead. I turned around 10 minutes later and she had seated another couple there. Well, I guess that rule doesn’t apply to everyone.

This restaurant is a true gem. Service was quick and attentive. Food menu had something for everyone. For our appetizer we started with the seafood platter. Everything on the platter was perfect! Main courses pleased all of us. This place is a must visit!

Service was awesome and location was awesome. The appetizer coconut shrimp was the best part of the meal. My wife got the Asian bowl and I got the Islamorada chicken. Both of our meals was mediocre at best. The sauce on my chicken was VERY bland. I tried adding salt and pepper, no luck. Would not recommend to go out of your way. Not bad, just not worth the almost $90 price tag!

We had my birthday celebration at Sebastian Saltwater Marina. The food was excellent with sizeable portions and the service was very attentive. We ate in the inside dining room but have also eaten on the outside deck which always has a pleasant breeze with a beautiful waterfront view on the Indian River.

The food is always delish! Our server Gio was so polite and attentive! Definitely will be back!

I recently hosted a luncheon at Sebastian Saltwater for my son’s college graduation, and I truly can’t rave enough about the entire experience. From coordinating all the details with Carri, to walking into a beautifully arranged room overlooking the river, everything was absolutely perfect. The food was delicious, our two servers were exceptional; attentive, accommodating, and completely on top of everything, and the cooks knocked it out of the park. Every one of our guests commented on how amazing the food and service were. Sebastian Saltwater has always been my favorite restaurant in town, but they took it to a whole new level for this special day. Thank you so much to the entire team for making our celebration unforgettable.

Drinks were great wanted to eat but they were out of 3 different things we tried to order opted for another drink and went down the road for dinner.

We had a large family dinner here and Mindy was our server. All of the food was amazing but, service was even better! I highly recommend coming here for any occasion. Definitely ask for Mindy for an outstanding experience.

We had a great table next to the water. The weather was perfect. Our server, Alicia, went above and beyond to make our experience great. The islamorada sandwich was huge. Could have used a little something though. Asked for a little ranch on the side and that made it perfect! Margaritas were delicious 🥰

Really enjoyed our visit to Sebastian Saltwater Marina Restaurant. Food was great, atmosphere was awesome, and even though they were clearly busy the service never slipped. Ruben took great care of us all night, and Judy the manager was super friendly and made the whole experience even better. Definitely looking forward to coming back.

Great Fresh Fish with nice portions! The wait staff is awesome and we love to sit on the deck and watch the pelicans dive for fish while dining!

We had an excellent experience at Sebastian Saltwater. We started with the homemade fish dip, and it was absolutely outstanding. Hands down, some of the best seafood I’ve had anywhere between Maine and Florida. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and prepared perfectly. Our server, Baldo, was excellent and really knew the menu well. Every recommendation he made turned out great. My mom had the mahi and shrimp combo, which she loved. My wife ordered the Caribbean bowl, and it was delicious with amazing flavor. I had the prime rib sandwich, and it was excellent as well. Overall, we all had a great experience with great food, great service, and a great atmosphere. Definitely a place we’ll be coming back to.

Food was great. Service was subpar but the kid was young and we can deal with that. What set us off was the fact that my wife ordered a bottle of wine with dinner and was brought a bottle that had clearly been opened and had at least one glass poured out of it. It was a bottle of white with a twist top. We showed the manager who said "that doesn't sound like us but I'm not calling you a liar." So you essentially called me a liar. They also served my wife a "Grey Goose'" martini that was just olive juice. We were willing to let that slide until the whole opened bottle of wine thing. Won't be coming back and that's a shame.
