Community Rating
Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
Something changed. Recent visits score noticeably higher than earlier ones. Opinion on front-of-house is split — those reviews land at 3.4 on average. Freshness and temperature is the next most common subject, in 24% of reviews (averaging 1.8).
No one in this corpus comments on the state of the room at all. Of the 21 rated reviews, 16 sit at four stars or better and 5 at two or below. The single most common rating left here is 5 stars (14 of 21).
None of that is visible in a star rating: the most recent DBPR inspection graded this kitchen an F (50/100), citing 4 high-priority, 4 intermediate, and 6 basic violations. Diner sentiment and inspection result are measuring different things here, and only one of them is checked by the state. The visit behind that grade was January 15, 2026. That puts it ahead of 1% of graded kitchens in Volusia County. For specifics, the last inspection cited food from approved source.
Taken together, this is a place diners like and inspectors do not. A good meal and a clean kitchen are different questions. Full reviews follow below in the order they were left.

I ordered a jumbo pork sandwich and a sliced pork dinner and got two pork sandwiches and they were not jumbo how do you get a refund the sliced pork dinner was 17.00 dollars and the pork sandwich was 6.95 thats a 10.00 dollar difference!!!!!

Love this place. One of the only salad bars in town. Dont recommend the sweet tea, pretty watered down. But food was amazing as usual 😋
-
Great food! We got their pulled pork and ribs and both were great. Their Mac n cheese is really good as well.
-
I stopped go here but, I'm back. They have new owners and you can tell. The food was great, the service was excellent and our server was seriously awesome.

Good food and good service. Family vaca dinner. Hit the spot!

This place was amazing! Plenty of seating. Not crowded! The salad bar was phenomenal 😋. The food came out hot and there was PLENTY of it. The corn fritters we're so good♡ This was definitely a highlight of the trip♡ The lighting was strange.. I think they had a few bulbs out. But all in all.. 9/10

Service was great, food was ok. They don't really give choice of two meats specials. Meaning these are the two meets that you get and you have to take it, no substitutions even if you're willing to pay an additional charge.

Even better than Sonny's BBQ
-
Rhe ribs were very dry. The meat was.aliced like really thin sandwich meat. I sent it back snd I was still charged $14.99 for the salad bar and only had 1.plate.of salad. The service was mediocre. There wad maybe 2.other tables at 5pm on a Sunday that was it.

Food was cold and Beirut dry.

We had Backyard Boys BBQ cater our daughter's graduation party and they did not disappoint! We ordered the pulled pork, beef brisket, baked beans and potato salad and all of our guests loved it! They also gave us 3 different kinds of BBQ sauce and delivered everything. The price was very reasonable.. We will definitely order from them for future parties... highly recommend!

My wife and I just had take out, spent $40.00 and to put it mildly the food absolutely sucked both dinners were cold, no taste and full of fat. Will never go back
-
Free salad bar with plater , very reasonable, nice salad bar, baby back ribs not very meaty but sausage platter was very good.
-
Great place to enjoy a meal
-
Definitely a country western BBQ. they said they had a garlic toasted hamburger. So me being at a barbecue place decided to get a hamburger. It was done very well good place to eat.
-
So a couple of our neighbors brought our group of five here to eat with them recently. As someone who's Family owned a BBQ restaurant for decades in Texas let's just say that I am picky about my BBQ. But I have to say that the food was great and the people were awesome. The atmosphere is cool and gives me a vibe of one of my other favorite BBQ places in West Texas. Since our first visit here we have been back a few times now and we all have really enjoyed it. Everything we have tried on the menu is very good with fast service and prices that are very good given the price of meat these days.

Went here based on star reviews and really regretted our decision. Food was not good. Turkey was extremely overdone and just dry cardboard. The brisket was ok. Green beans, baked beans and Mac and cheese were not good, at all. The service by Olivia was great though, she was kind and always asking if we needed anything else.
