Community Rating
Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
Service dominates the conversation here — it comes up in 56% of the 18 reviews. Where service comes up, the rating that follows averages 4.3, so it reads as a strength.
Older reviews score better than newer ones (3.8 recent against 4.5 earlier), so direction is worth weighing alongside the average. One subject never comes up here: how clean the place looks. If you had to pick one number to represent this corpus it would be 5, the most frequently given rating (12 reviews).
On the health side, the most recent DBPR inspection returned a C (71/100) with 2 high-priority, 1 intermediate, and 10 basic violations — middling, much like the reviews. DBPR last walked in on August 11, 2025. Its inspection trajectory is upward over the records we hold. Ranked against Lake County, it is safer than 17% of the restaurants we score. The citations behind that grade include wiping cloths and food-contact surfaces clean and sanitized.
The honest summary is that the evidence is mixed on both sides. Read the originals below and judge the pattern yourself.

Nice lunch with outdoor patio seating. Raphael is excellent server who remembers our visits from past times. Pecan chicken salad is delicious with homemade dressing. Impossible burger is also amazing if you haven't tried it.

The hangover burger and the mushroom and Swiss burger were very good, so I'm told. The kids cheese quesadilla was not enough to fill a nine year without fries. The honey bbq ribs were tender, but way too spicy for me to eat. The Hurricane nachos were delicious. I put the left over sauce and cheese from the nachos and put it on my tater tots. That was really good!

This is a pice of Florida and what a restaurant should be! Variety of food offerings that actually taste great. Little beach area for relaxing and playing games. You can dine inside or outside. This is no chain restaurant, so make the trip, you'll thank me! Enjoy

Food sucks! Jack and coke sucks! Wait staff was terrible! I will never be back there ever again!!!!

It was pretty good. I think they fry there and other things together. All things fried tasted like fish.

This is a nice place to have lunch or dinner. Staff are friendly, food is good and the atmosphere is relaxing. You can pull up on your boat or drive.

We were here this past weekend in the early afternoon and the food was dry and bland. Starting with the Bavarian pretzel with beer cheese (I still dont know what yhat dip was), the pretzel was almost burnt and was dried out. We ate 1/2 of it. I had the chicken dish which was bland and dried out and my husband had the tacos which he said wasn't very tasty. All in all, it wasn't a very enjoyable meal.

I haven't been in a while. I went with a friend for lunch and the service was fantastic and the food was great. I was pleasantly surprised

The music was a little loud for us oldies. Generally, I think we ordered well. Because we shared appetisers. Otherwise the servings are probably too big. I am not a fan of the pictnic tables. The staff were very compromising with splitting the bill. I found the food to be good.I can't exactly remember what we ordered, but it all got devoured.

Great food with a fun atmosphere. They have a large outdoor area overlooking the Dead River which includes boat docking for anyone out on the river. The indoor area is also large and spread out with plenty of table options. The staff are very friendly and the food is quite good with a decent variety that should allow everyone to find something they like. I like that they will have certain specials and offer some variations on the fish throughout the year. They are known for wings but its worth exploring the other options and flavors. They have live music on the weekends and in the putdoor area it feels like a fun party area.

We visited with my husband and ordered two dishes. The food was good, but the service left much to be desired. After finishing our meal, no one approached us with the check. We had to find the staff ourselves. When we finally paid, the server simply returned my card without any acknowledgment. It felt like we were an afterthought or not valued as customers at all. Unfortunately, the attitude was very disappointing.
