Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
Read the reviews alone and you would never guess the grade. Reviewers who mention front-of-house rate this place 4.6 on average — it is working in the restaurant’s favour.
Of the 18 rated reviews, 16 sit at four stars or better and 2 at two or below. No one in this corpus comments on speed of service at all. The single most common rating left here is 5 stars (15 of 18).
Set against that, the state's own inspection graded the kitchen a D (65/100), with 2 high-priority, 3 intermediate, and 10 basic violations recorded. Reviews describe the meal; the grade describes the conditions it was made in. The visit behind that grade was March 24, 2026. The trend across inspections is improvement. On health score it sits safer than 13% of the Lake County restaurants we grade. For specifics, the last inspection cited cross-contamination and in-use food dispensing utensils properly stored.
Taken together, this is a place diners like and inspectors do not. A good meal and a clean kitchen are different questions. The underlying reviews are reproduced in full underneath.

I remember them having alot more on the menu seem they have cut back alot. Most of the stuff on the menu ses to be deep fry foods. They still have great deserts
-
Definitely a well recommended place to go eat at. I got the grilled chicken breast sandwich with fries and I absolutely love the fries because of the seasoning. Servers are nice and polite to all customers.

Great stop! We are so glad we stopped. The food was great and our waitress was so friendly. I had the French toast with blueberries and it was delicious! My husband had the hash skillet and it was equally as good!

Good food at a good price.

We're regular travelers visiting Florida from Michigan. Stopped here on our way to kayak THREE YEARS AGO. And still haven't stopped talking about how good the food was. Stands as the best meal we've ever had. Partner had Alfredo and I had the vegan burger. Amazing.
-
Our dinner had the taste and texture of processed roast beef, instant mashed potatoes, and brown gravy mix from a packet. The corn on the cob was soft, not crisp and fresh.
-
Just ordered the bison burger, and it was amazing! It was cooked to perfection. My wife's salad tasted great, and Mammow's liver and onions looked and smelled great too! Ample portions on everything we ordered. The servers were attentive, and very polite. The menu has something for everybody. The cooks had good music playing in the kitchen, and the entire staff seemed to be in good spirits, and they all worked together very well to provide an excellent dining experience! We will definitely be back for more of their delicious food and welcoming atmosphere!

I've been going here for several years now and I have never had a bad meal there. The liver and onions are out of the world. Hamburger and rubins are some of my favorites too.

Great atmosphere, very friendly, this is the best restraint I've seen in a while. And breakfast if your hungery get the hungry man. I couldn't eat it all... And the best coconut cream pie I've had in a very long time.
