Community Rating
Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
This is what agreement looks like: high ratings, clean inspection. Front-of-house tends to be raised approvingly here, averaging 4.8 stars. Freshness and temperature is the next most common subject, in 32% of reviews (averaging 4.3).
Value for money shows up in 23% of reviews as well, averaging 4.4. 19 of 22 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 2 are two or lower. The single most common rating left here is 5 stars (19 of 22).
The health record runs ahead of the reviews. The last DBPR inspection returned an A (100/100) and no violations cited. The visit behind that grade was March 2, 2026. On health score it sits safer than 100% of the Brevard County restaurants we grade. The inspector left without citing anything — worth noting, since most visits find something.
Nothing here pulls in opposite directions — an unusually clean read. The reviews themselves follow, unedited and newest first.

Absolutely delicious and great service! Thank you ☺️
-
Food was delicious! I really enjoyed the chicken teriyaki. Chili edamame was great and the pork gyoza was good too. Chocolate lava cake was airy and light, not a crazy account of "lava". Overall very good!
-
Hands down the best sushi in Melbourne. Gourmet rolls, high quality and fresh sashimi. The Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice is my ultimate favorite, with the chocolate lava cake, it's divine. I've been eating here for years and they've never been anything other than perfection. This spot is for the real ones- those who know and love high quality sushi.

Nice quiet atmosphere. Love the sushi here and the service is always good. Have been serval times and would recommend giving it a shot! Great for date night.
-
Fabulous sushi, the best in Brevard! You can have a variety of meals here, from quick noodles to classic sushi rolls to high end Nigiri. We loved the recommendations from our server, Emily, and had our fill of tuna and eel. We also tried the king salmon Nigiri which was delicious!
-
Got takeout and was very disappointed because the beach side restaurant is so on point every time, I expected the same at this location. My sushi roll was barely together, and some of them were completely open with all of the insides spilling out, plus the tempura was not crispy, it was soggy and my soup was Luke warm

Best Sushi in Brevard! Always fresh & flavorful. Worth the visit every time.
-
Very good sushi
-
Great sushi I liked it 😋
-
Dont waste your money, $6.50 for one piece of sushi, there are plenty of other places where you can get twice as much for the same price.
-
Could not believe a never had been here before . It was great !
-
GLUTEN FREE MENU IMAGE: Note, incomplete. Some items say "no sauce" but also include additional non-gluten free ingredients (i.e. new Englander, States: "no sauce", but Gluten free modification is actually "No Sauce & No Tempura asparagus".)
-

-
One of the best Sush places in town. Spicy tuna crispy rice is my favorite sushi rolls. If you really are looking for good sushi in Melbourne. I highly recommend this place. The owners and staff will treat you like family.
-
Stopped by for a quick lunch break and was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere that makes it a great spot to step away from work for a bit. The food was fresh and flavorful, the service was attentive, and the overall experience was very enjoyable. If you’re in the Melbourne area and looking for a casual lunch spot with good food and a comfortable vibe, Umame is definitely worth a visit.

Perfect as always!
-
This restaurant has a wide variety of sushi and specials that are very tasty. There are some unique tastings that are a bit pricey. However, the offerings of "street food" thats inexpensive to try.. The sushi rolls are adequate and reasonably priced. If going for dinner, try to arrive at time of opening. It gets crowded quickly.
-
It is pretty ballsy to name your sushi establishment after that mythical Umami flavor but this place nailed it. Decently priced, incredibly flavorful and great service. If there is a wait, it is for good reason, and the weight is well worth it.
-
Did not think id find good sushi in melbourne.. im surprised. Im from nyc and have lived in Cali for 3 years, this place is up there. Rice wasnt cakey, fish felt fresh, some of the rolls arent well "structured" for lack of a better word, but each ingredient put into a roll is pretty good. update: the calamari is chewy and the server said its supposed to be chewy, LOL got gaslit. Its funny

Very good, fresh sushi. Bo, our server was very kind. Clean atmosphere. I would return!
