What diners say — our read

4.4 stars across 20 reviews, an A on the inspection — a rare case where both halves agree. Where whether it is worth the money comes up, the rating that follows averages 4.3, so it reads as a strength.

The split is 16 positive to 3 negative across 20 rated reviews, with 1 in the middle. The single most common rating left here is 5 stars (15 of 20). Behind those, the staff is raised in 15% of reviews (4.0 average).

Against that, the kitchen inspects well — an A (98/100), 2 basic violations at the most recent DBPR visit. The visit behind that grade was March 17, 2026. That puts it ahead of 80% of graded kitchens in Orange County. For specifics, the last inspection cited nonfood-contact surfaces clean.

Both measures agree, which is the least complicated version of this page. The reviews themselves follow, unedited and newest first.

A very nice restaurant in Winter Park. According to their website, they want to “... modernize and responsibly curate classic Cuban café culture (including ventanitas, café con leche, and family recipes) in contemporary settings so these traditions can endure for future generations.” This restaurant actually does a good job of doing just that. It is located just to the east of the Orange and S Orlando Ave in a very nicely refurbished older building. The parking is located on 2 sides of the building. You enter straight into the counter where you can order from their menu which is classic Cuban food. You order and pay at the counter. The appetizers (ham croquettes and papa rellanas, etc) were in a place by the counter and so we got those as we left the counter. Very smart in my opinion. They have several seating options to include a window bar to your right from the counter, some outside seating on a patio and a large inside area with benches with tables. The drinks and food came out quickly and were delivered to our table. We got ½ Cubans with Black beans and rice. They were very good as were the appetizers. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of food and amount. The staff was pleasant and the restaurant was very clean and bright. Overall, a very nice experiences that I would highly recommend to fellow travelers

Always a favorite Orlando spot for great Cuban sandwiches and coffees. Friendly staff finds ways to go above and beyond on every visit. Bottled cafe con leche is the best!

I order a pan con bistec, very dissappointed when I took the first bite. I order the sandwich a couple of time & it was delicious. No the same this time.

    Love their food!

Food and location are nice, we are regulars here. The pink haired girl at the register needs some service retraining, couldn’t be more rude to customers - made it a 0/10 experience today

Was passing by and saw a Cuban coffee & pastries shop so I had to drop in. So glad I did cause the cafesito and Guava Cheese Pastry was off the chain! Definitely coming back to try other items and more cafesito. I usually get a sweetened double catesito over ice! So good 👍 👍 👍 And with today's inflation prices, it was a steal! Great prices 👏 👍

The coffee, ambiance, and food are fire. As a Miami native the masitas are awesome and remind me of home and my Mima's cooking.

Nestled off of Orange ave this place is a delicious eatery where you can get some amazing Cuban food. The Cuban sandwich is great to share and the chicken and rice is amazing. The downside is the price you have to pay.

Black Bean Deli has been a staple in the Orlando/Winter Park area for years. It was one of my favorite restaurants when I attended Rollins college in the mid 2010s. It honestly breaks my heart to leave them anything other than a five star review. However, the fact that they removed the dark meat option from the Spanish baked chicken plate is a TRAVESTY. It was the best item on the menu and now it’s gone. I used to find excuses to make a pit stop in Orlando when I would travel from NYC and then from LA exclusively so I could have the dark meat Spanish baked chicken plate. Now that it’s gone, there’s basically no point in going back. RIP the dark meat option, and bring it back!!!
