Community Rating
Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
If these 27 reviews agree on a topic, it is front-of-house. Where the staff comes up, the rating that follows averages 4.4, so it reads as a strength.
Of the 27 rated reviews, 21 sit at four stars or better and 3 at two or below. What nobody raises here is tidiness — it goes unmentioned across all 27 reviews. More reviewers landed on 5 stars than any other score — 18 of 27.
On the inspection side the picture is cleaner: DBPR graded this kitchen an A (99/100), with 1 basic violations. Whatever the reviews argue about, sanitation is not the weak point. That result dates from May 13, 2026. Across its inspection history the kitchen is declining, which argues for reading the older reviews with caution. Ranked against Orange County, it is safer than 87% of the restaurants we score.
With both signals pointing the same way, there is little to argue about on this listing. The reviews themselves follow, unedited and newest first.

Slowest service I've ever experienced!!!! And there was only 1 other party in the entire restaurant! No host at the stand, server had no sense of urgency and bartender holding a conversation and cleaning instead of making the drink my husband ordered. No wonder this place was so empty on a Sunday afternoon. Don't waste your time or money on this place! Super frustrating

Great atmosphere and excellent food. A little on the pricey side ($6 for fries.).

Bovine is the last restaurant on Winter Park - Park Avenue, owned by Joanne M. I was a regular (probably in my own mind) at the Blu on Avenue location - the Angry Dragon roll was my favorite weekend a lunch item I would regularly get. Sorry to see it was closed down and will return as something else. I decided to go to the Bovine tonight to see bartenders who have been so gracious as to serve me the wares of Blu on the Avenue. Fortunately, Aaron was there, though it was sad to hear that Lindsey was no longer working for Joanne. Nonetheless, as usual, Aaron was awesome! Had two double Sapphires and tonic (light on the tonic) - both made to perfection. Went straight for the entree with a side. Classic 12oz Filet Mignon - Medium Rare & to be semi-healthy Loaded Spinach (had to reduce the amount of cheese and cream by setting it aside - though I love cheese). Both were awesome. Instead of dessert, I had a can of Ivanhoe Park Brewing Tupac Shaporter. Looks like a Guinness, but with a little sweetness. $138 + $30 tip. The 12-oz filet mignon was cooked exactly as requested. Since this was the first time I have been at the Bovine, I was surprised to see my favorite Blu on the Avenue - Angry Dragon Roll as a menu item. Still, I was looking for a really good steak from a restaurant called Bovine, so it was hard to order anything sushi or fishy. Thank you, Aaron, for making the experience similar to Blu on the Avenue. Sorry, no photos until next time.

I visited Bovine today and received outstanding service from Tina. She was attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. Even though we only ordered wine, she made us feel valued and well taken care of. Excellent hospitality and a wonderful experience. Thank you, Tina! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We had a reservation for Mother’s Day and arrived at 4:15pm for a party of 8. We got seated within a few minutes and the restaurant looks nice and was well decorated but unfortunately that’s where it ends. It took over 30 mins to just get apps ordered and almost an hour before the arrived to the table. It would take 10-15 minutes just for a draft beer to get ordered and brought to the table and we had to give up on my wife’s 2nd drink order to come we asked 3x and after almost an hour and half we just stopped asking. I ordered the 22oz prime rib medium rare and after waiting for the main course finally arrive it came out well done to the point the entire piece was gray and dry we ordered multiple sides and the mushrooms, asparagus and mashed potatoes came out cold to the point we just asked for the potatoes to be redone. We had ordered several Cesar salads and they literally after asking several times never showed up. Your bathrooms were absolutely Horrendous and disgusting. The server did what he could but was obviously distracted or had to many things going on and just was lost. There are to many other options for steak restaurants in the area and I will not be suggesting Bovine to anyone who asks. I’m very sorry but you guys really missed the mark and

Don't recommend, small quantities

Brenton was awesome! We stumbled upon this while looking for mattresses nearby and omg it was delicious. Specifically loved the bacon wrapped Brie, calamari, mini beef Wellington and the sushi. This is a hidden gem and I’m glad we stumbled upon it!

Keith in kitchen makes the best eggs benedict I have had. Joannes pastries are worth the calories.

Ashlyn is an AMAZING server. Attentive and kind. Food is great! 10/10 recommend

So we were at BoVine for about 2 hours. It took about 25-45 minutes between the water, the bread, the appetizer and the food... The dessert was another 25 minutes and the sugar on top was burned. Our waiter was very nice but everything just took sooo long. My family raved about the steaks, they said it was the best steaks they've ever had, and the food I got was good but I won't be back.

Food is good, service is excellent, drinks are good. Don't have a happy hour drink menu, they say well drinks on happy hour, but not all well drinks are happy hour...so u need to ask first.

Boyfriend and I have come here half a dozen times and every time it’s perfection! From the staff to the environment to the food- everyone is so accommodating and the food is always cooked to perfection. The drink menu is really nice also- definitely give this place a try, it’s a staple restaurant for our family!
-
This place is every bit of 10 stars! We had a large birthday party of 9 and we're all family so we share. Every bite of every dish was perfection! 9 smiling people loving every second of our the experience. Best steak in town. Ask for Jeremy as your server because the only thing better than the food was the service!

A nice steak house with plenty of al fresco seating. The mussels were not only plentiful, but also very delicious in a creamy white wine sauce. The creme brulee, was creamy and the sugar coating the perfect amount of texure. The perfect end to my meal meal.

Really enjoyed our date night at BoVine. Tina was a lovely server who kept us well tended. The star of the evening was the food, the menu is thoughtful and throughly delicious, we tried various items from steak to sushi, and I enjoyed everything. The rice cake appetizer was incredible but somehow dwarfed by the French onion soup (the broth omg). We will be back to try more! I'd recommend asking to sit in the smaller dining room, the only detractor was the main dining room felt a bit stiff compared to the rest of the restaurant.
-
The day I was there for lunch they had no ice and we had to wait for someone to go get some. Then I think one of their highlights is the special teas they have BUT they do not have enough carafes for the 8 people to all get our tea 2 people missed out, because they ran out of the fancy glass carafes they serve the tea in. Food was good but not as fancy as what you would think, for Park Ave.

lobster benetics를 먹었는데 소스까지 박박 긁어 먹었어요. 음료도 논알코올 과일칵테일 마셨는데 적당히 상큼하고 달콤해서 피로가 풀릴 정도였어요. 너무 맛있어요

I stayed at the historic Park Plaza Hotel in Winter Park and the dining next door at BoVine was excellent! There are plenty of places to eat nearby, but BoVine serves delicious food with a modern twist.

We absolutely love coming here and find ourselves visiting at least once a week. The experience is always wonderful. Tina is an outstanding server who takes such great care of us and truly makes every visit pleasant and welcoming. While it’s known as a steakhouse, it’s actually one of my favorite places for sushi. Maki creates excellent sushi rolls and is always happy to customize them for me — the presentation is beautiful every time. My husband comes for the salmon, which he says is the best in town. The bar is fantastic as well — Aaron and Piper are great bartenders who always remember exactly how we like our drinks, which makes the experience feel even more personal. Joanne has done a wonderful job making this restaurant a true go-to spot in Winter Park. Great food, warm service, and a consistently enjoyable experience. Highly recommend! J & J

The quality of the food is generally good, can be inconsistent though. The main part is pricing even with the fact it's in Winter Park is way too high for what you get. The drinks are also overpriced by a significant margin, arbitrary almost. Feel like it's living on past reputation as well.

Our waiter Greg was amazing and pleasant to converse with. Food is worth the price. The steak and duck meat we ordered was lovely and we were given complimentary appetizers.
