Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
The 4.3-star average is misleading — almost nobody actually rated it that. Reviewers who mention front-of-house rate this place 4.9 on average — it is working in the restaurant’s favour. After that, wait times appears most often — 21% of the corpus, averaging 4.8.
Of the 24 rated reviews, 20 sit at four stars or better and 3 at two or below. A third strand, how food arrives, appears in 17% of them at 3.0 stars. The single most common rating left here is 5 stars (17 of 24).
The health record runs ahead of the reviews. The last DBPR inspection returned an A (93/100) with 1 intermediate and 4 basic violations. The visit behind that grade was January 28, 2026. The trend across inspections is improvement. Ranked against Orange County, it is safer than 53% of the restaurants we score. For specifics, the last inspection cited in-use food dispensing utensils properly stored and dishwashing facilities.
Nothing here pulls in opposite directions — an unusually clean read. The reviews themselves follow, unedited and newest first.

Objectively this place should be 5 stars all around!! The most authentic, delicious tacos of every variety! And the most amazing vegan options too. My favorite is the black bean and mushroom. There’s nothing that isn’t good at this restaurant. Great outdoor seating and great staff!
-
Good tacos- just they chip portion is very small but tacos are really good. Also the salsa flight was great but no enough chips to eat it with

Had lunch here with my kids and was pleasantly surprised by how many gluten-free options were available and clearly marked on the menu. I ordered the Pollo con Mole Verde tacos on corn tortillas, and my kids enjoyed a gluten-free quesadilla. The food was fresh, flavorful, and the habanero sauce brought the perfect amount of heat. The mole verde, fresh toppings, and house-made feel really stood out. What impressed me most was the service. I accidentally ordered an item that contained pork, and the team quickly corrected it without hesitation. They even let my kids keep the original item while remaking my order, which was greatly appreciated. The atmosphere is relaxed, the artwork around the restaurant is beautiful, and it’s a great spot for a quick lunch in Winter Park. While I have a few personal favorite Mexican restaurants in the area, I would absolutely come back here, especially when looking for gluten-free options 📍 More gluten-free finds on Instagram: @glutenfreewithkeith

Our experience was not the best. The spot has a nice vibe and you can tell there are good intentions behind the concept, but the food did not taste fresh to us. It was missing that extra something—the freshness, flavor, and attention to detail—that makes a meal memorable and leaves you wanting to come back. Unfortunately, that feeling just wasn’t there for us this time.

Used to be my favorite taco place. When I asked at the window about our order, the manager on duty was super rude. We were told they only have enough to make two tacos and the others would be a 20mins wait. We were fine with that as we know they are worth it. I explained to bring the ones the could make for our kid to eat and we can wait. We waited and nothing came out so I went to the window to ask and they told us changed the plan and decided to bring all the food out all together instead of the two for our kid. I explained the confusion of what we were told and the manager replied "if you go have a seat, they'll be out." I say that to say this we told our waitress (who was cool), and she apologized profusely and they ended up refunding our meal. Originally, I wanted to express my displeasure with the service but they owned the mistake and I can appreciate and honor that. Just because of that, I changed my 1 star to a 4. I appreciate them trying to rectify it all.

I stopped to get a drink I couldn't get one because I had cash and they didn't have change.... On a Saturday... What place doesn't have singles for change on a weekend in a major city...
-
As Mexican food lover not what I would consider authentic. More fusion. The Asada was underwhelming but I should have known that when its served with salsa, I didn't ask for. And man ...expensive.

Definitely recommending this place to everyone. Best damn quesadilla I've ever had! The place is super clean and the atmosphere is perfect. Whatever y'all are doing, keep that shit up! 🤩
-
Food was HORRIBLE! Chicken quesadilla filled with chunks of dark meat and slimy SKIN! Guacamole that was NOT fresh. Tasted prepackaged. Salsa had ZERO flavor. They used to be amazing. Never again. Poor quality.
-
El Mañanero and Pollo con Mole Verde were amazing.
-
Addicted is an understatement.
-
I very much enjoyed this great taco restaurant. Great taste combinations, nimm, and reasonable prices. The grilled mushroom quesadilla was legendary.
-
Great food and service!
-
Great Burria Tacos. Takeout comes in a pizza box so as not to squash the tacos and extra sauce. Man these were good! Tried a cheese quesadilla.... Special Mexican cheese was so delish, has to be one of the under rated dishes. Will be back!

Hunger Street Tacos was AMAZING to work with. I am an event planner and one of my clients booked them for their wedding and I must say, hands down fantastic to work with. Their customer service skills and communication was everything I ask for on an event day and they went above and beyond!! They left everything clean and tidy and not to mention, the food was yummy and fresh!! They took care of not only the clients but, the vendors as well. You MUST book them if you are thinking about quality and perfection. Thank you again to one great staff!! Thank you for your excellent communication Susanna!! I'll be visiting soon!

Thank you for having more than one vegetarian option!!! And they’re all good!!!! The fried avocado taco is hands down the yummiest taco I’ve ever had. I can’t wait to come back and try your squash blossom quesadilla!! Staff here is so friendly as well!!!
