Community Rating
Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
If these 20 reviews agree on a topic, it is the staff. Reviewers who mention front-of-house rate this place 4.5 on average — it is working in the restaurant’s favour. After that, portion size appears most often — 20% of the corpus, averaging 4.3.
A third strand, value for money, appears in 15% of them at 5.0 stars. The split is 19 positive to 1 negative across 20 rated reviews. The single most common rating left here is 5 stars (14 of 20).
On the inspection side the picture is cleaner: DBPR graded this kitchen an A (92/100), with 1 intermediate and 5 basic violations. Whatever the reviews argue about, sanitation is not the weak point. The visit behind that grade was February 17, 2026. Its inspection trajectory is downward over the records we hold. On health score it sits safer than 49% of the Orange County restaurants we grade. For specifics, the last inspection cited cross-contamination and nonfood-contact surfaces clean.

The fish of the day and the blacked shrimp are my favorite. Great kitchen staff

My first time visiting The Porch Winter Park, which is an unassuming neighborhood restaurant with great food, good drinks, and alright service. There wasn't one thing on the menu that I didn't like. The drink selection is larger than some of the more upscale restaurants in the area. We had to ask another staff member our server's name, because Bailey didn't introduce herself as latecomers in our party arrived. She was cordial, did the bare minimum, and was a bit off putting as she took several orders, not all, from one table, went to the second table for our group and took everyone's order, and then came back to the first table and took the order of the two Black women in our party. The food arrived quickly, however everything was not hot, as if it was made in batches and sat under a warmer. Although there were no issues with the food, other than its temperature, our server didn't check to ensure everyone was ok when the entrées were served. If anything was needed, it was an ask: more water, another drink, additional napkins. Regardless of my experience, The Porch Winter Park is a place I would recommend. Along with the food and drinks, they have plenty TVs for the sports enthusiasts.

This was second time eating at The Porch. Very disappointing. Apparently the gluten free French fries actually any gluten free options are cross contaminated by using a shared fryer. There was a $2.50 gluten free option for a burger roll. Quite honestly we found the service to be lacking as well. Appetizers were brought out with the meal leaving us crowded with hot pans. After the first bite of the second half of my sandwich I was asked by the waitress if I would like a box??!! Ummm… still eating!!

Relaxed spot with good southern-style food and drinks. Friendly service and a nice vibe, though it can get busy at peak times. Great for casual dining or brunch.

Staff is amazing, kind and friendly. Food was to die for. Very clean. So clean you could eat off floor. I got the pork chop dish with the mac and cheese. Wow the portions. Well worth money. And they do military discount.

This restaurant was perfect! My mother, fiancé, and I went this last mothers day because the menu offered a wide selection of southern breakfast favorites. Let me tell you what, this restaurant did not disappoint! When we walked in, they offered my mother a rose for mothers day as well as a complimentary mimosa. We really appreciated this kind gesture. As for the food, it was delicious! The cronuts and biscuits and gravy were incredible and I highly recommend. Lastly, the restaurant had a photo booth, which is a fun touch. I really enjoyed this restaurant and cannot wait to go back again soon!
