We will definitely be back! The live music was chill and our waitress was on point with everything. The boy approves of the crab legs too!

The live music, service, and food are all wonderful. We visit every time that wee we're in Florida. I recommend trying the grouper fresh catch blackened or jerk, steamed shrimp, Ahi tuna entree, oysters and the smoked fish dip.

Service was amazing. Food was just ok

  • June 26, 2026

Great location, right by the water. Our server Chan, he was great. The hot wings were awesome. The fish(Flounder) basket portion was okay. I guess because I order the Mac & cheese bits on the side I got a really small portion of fries. I wish it was the other way around. The fish and fries were great. Another family member had black beans with rice and shrimp on top. He said it was great. However two family members had the grilled salmon with garlic mashed potatoes. All was good except too many pieces of the potato skins. Oh the music performer was great, he kept everything flowing. Overall great service and dinning. We plan to visit next time in this area.😃

Best darn meals around! Reasonable prices. Absolutely the BEST Keylime pie in Brevard County!!

  • June 22, 2026

Went to Rusty with family on a weekend evening, it was busy there. Our waiter was reasonably attentive . Food was not as good as I remembered, fried seafood and fries were over fried, the bread of my mahi Philly was soggy which I disliked the most. In the end of our meal, the staff started to clean empty tables in other areas, dragging tables and chairs, sweeping the floor, it was very unpleasant considering other tables were still working on their food. It was only 8:20ish. Most of the waiters and waitresses were friendly but very hyperactive, it felt like a high school hallway , they went in and out joking with each other loudly, totally ignoring customers dining experience. It will take a while for us to go back which I don’t think people would care that much anyway!

Seafood was fresh and au gratin appetizer is a must try.

A very enjoyable experience to sit on the deck and watch the cruise ships leave.

Another 5-star experience to add to their impressive list! This spot came highly recommended by a local during my Cocoa Beach visit, and it did not disappoint. The drink selection is fantastic; I particularly enjoyed the "Rusty's Relaxer" – a wonderfully sweet and fun concoction. The mussels were perfectly prepared, and the key lime pie was, without a doubt, one of the best I've ever tasted. And let's not forget the outstanding service and live music that completed the experience! 🤩

Lively place to eat, bonus points for cooking our fresh catch mahi

Very solid seafood joint @ The Cove at Port Canaveral, with a great HH and early bird specials (if, in the immortal words of Jerry Seinfeld, you want to "forcefeed yourself a steak at 4:30 to save a couple of bucks"), right on the water @ Port Canaveral! Awesome back deck with good live music daily (or d@mn near), definitely stick around if Jake Salter is playing! Great spot to watch the cruise (or SpaceX) ships lumber in or out to sea! Matt (with the hat) and Joe at the back bar are two of the best bartenders on the SpaceCoast!

Not happy and crazy expensive the entree FRIED SEAFOOD PLATTER not close to worth $30 don't recommend! Shrimp scampi was good though

  • June 13, 2026

great place to relax and enjoy your day super music and see the ships leaving port Canaveral

The food was awesome! I had the captains fried seafood platter. I was cautious about order fried seafood because of GI issue. I asked the waiter what oil they fried their fish in and he said canola oil which is easier to digest and heathier. I didn't have any GI issues later in the night. There was another seafood place we visited earlier in the week and the fried their fish in beef tallow which really bothered me many hours after eating it. It's hard to find seafood cooked in healthy oil. This place does. I highly recommend it!

Ate at Rusty's 30 years ago in the mid-90s while visiting the area on several occasions. I was glad to see Rusty's was still a staple at Port Canveral and wanted to revisit with my family. We ate outside on the water on a lovely Tuesday evening. Moderately busy, but no wait. Live musician playing. Friendly, punctual waitress (Ashley) who was great with the kids and gave us good suggestions on the fish of the day, etc. The blackened mahi mahi, grilled salmon, green beans, garlic mashed potatoes and grilled chicken salad were perfect. A fantastic end to the day after visiting Cape Kennedy all day.

We just came from a deep sea fishing excursion and they were able to cook and prepare the fish we caught! They offered several different ways to prepare the fish including grilled, blackened, Parmesan crusted, fried, and jerked. We got it grilled and blackened and it was delicious! Also, it was only $10 per pound of fish which was a great deal! We got some of their delicious sides to compliment the fish!

Plan on an initial wait when you arrive. No reservations accepted, but an outside bar will cure your thirst. We had 9 people and the place was packed. The nice young lady told us 50 minute wait, and it was almost to the minute! They sat us down, and were extremely attentive to us, and had another round of drinks and appetizers to the table within 15 or 20 min. Excellent food, everyone loved the gator bites and the bread and cheese dip. Dinner was also very good as the seafood was prepared perfectly. One of us ordered steak and that was the only issue as it was a little tough and served room temperature so I had to drop 1 star. Still, id highly recommend this place to everyone

My wife and I decided to take a drive over from Lake Nona to Rusty's for dinner and enjoy a beautiful evening on the coast. Upon arrival, we found a lively crowd at the port and waited about 20 minutes for the next available table, which was quite reasonable given how busy the restaurant was. We started with the Calamari and Coconut Shrimp appetizers. The Coconut Shrimp was clearly house-made and well executed, paired with a tangy-flavorful pineapple dipping sauce that really brought the dish to life. Along with our salads, we ordered the Garlic Parmesan Oysters. These were quite different from the versions commonly found in NOLA (New Orleans), which are often swimming in butter and garlic. Rusty's version featured a generous layer of Parmesan and was broiled to perfection, creating a delicious toasted cheese crust and wonderful texture. The Key Lime salad dressing was also excellent—great flavor and a recipe worth keeping. For our entrées, we enjoyed the Blackened Grouper with Roasted Green Beans Almandine and the Blackened Scallops with well-done Sweet Potato Fries. Overall, the flavors were solid across the board, and the seafood tasted fresh. My only culinary feedback would be regarding the scallops. When blackening or searing scallops, a very hot cooking surface and a dry product typically produce the best results. Otherwise, excess moisture can cause the scallops to steam rather than develop that beautiful seared crust. Of course, we had to try the Key Lime Pie. My…
